The entire operation and everyone involved has been professional and focused on providing the best care possible. Dad experienced some medical problems (completely unrelated to the care provided by Visiting Angels) after a year into the VAO care program which resulted in changes to his living arrangements. VAO was understanding, cooperative, flexible, helpful and supportive in making adjustments to Dad's care program. It has now been nearly 18-months since VAO began providing services. We have never had a problem with billings, services, care-givers, or compliance with the scope of services provided by VAO and the outstanding staff. Dad has been cared for by one person for the overwhelming majority of time - but there has been a limited number of days when other caregivers were required to fill-in (due to illness, doctor visits, family emergencies, etc) for Dad's primary caregiver. The "substitute" caregivers were each well informed of Dad's condition/personality before arriving and each provided good, friendly, quality support that was welcomed by Dad. If you're ever in need of a reliable home health care service to provide care, companionship, light housekeeping services, assisting with meal preparation and clean-up, personal hygiene and grooming support, and a compassionate friend to help care for a loved one, I would certainly strongly recommend VAO. Reach out to Elizabeth or Kandice and find out how VAO can work with you in developing a program that works best for your loved ones needs and interests: the costs for care are very reasonable given the quality and reliability of services.

Even though they have awesome neighbors and friends, it was time to have more direct home care for them. I have the pleasure of speaking with and dealing with Veronica, she jumped into play and organized a game plan to assist with our parents. Veronica is on top of her game, she right away called our Mom's Doctor to find out her medications and Doctor appointments. Veronica set her up with a Caregiver right away and started on Wednesday. If you have elderly parents and don't' live by them---I would 100pct support and recommend Visiting Angels... Thanks, Veronica for your continued help and quick response's...

The management here has been so gracious in every way towards us, plus it gives the residents of GL an opportunity to enjoy the music of the Big Band era. Great entertainment for the residents and guests. In the past several months, we have had a few friends become residences at Grand Living and it's certainly the place I will plan to go when it's my time to relax and enjoy the later Golden Years. Everyone at Grand Living is wonderful. The facility is impeccable and very impressive in so many ways. Always neat, clean, well staffed, and a smile on everyone's face! Residents and staff! Great location and facilities. If you should visit there for yourself or your elderly loved ones, you will think you are going to a five star resort. This is the way I personally think a home for retirement should look, feel and offer life in the slower lane. Thank you, Grand Living. Bob, and the band

Many of the residents attended the wedding as well and they were happy and looked amazingly healthy. The food was outstanding and we were invited back for another meal and the food was just as good that time. I'm not ready for this yet and my parents unfortunately are deceased but if you are looking for quality with a staff that have been there multiple years then Grand living should be your number one choice.

A difficult decision became wonderfully easy when we found Spring Oaks! From our very first visit…read morewe knew this place was different, very different. My fiancée's Mother was living in Tampa. She's a smart and witty woman, who raised a beautiful daughter! Our path in life includes ensuring Mom is happy and safe. We needed to find a caring and nurturing home closer to us, in Brooksville. By comparing the facility Mom was leaving and by our own previous combined experiences we knew exactly what to look for and what to expect. The day we were welcomed into Spring Oaks was a day we'll never forget! First, and foremost, is the incredible group of folks that make up the Spring Oaks family of employees. They embody all of the traits that any care givers should strive to attain. The continuous displays of sympathy and attention we witness are genuine and sincere. This includes not just the care staff but also the administrative and ancillary staff. To say the staff of Spring Oaks loves their residents is a huge understatement! Mom absolutely LOVES her new home and her new friends. We love that she is not just sleeping the day away or taking up space in a corner. Every day there are a variety of planned activities to keep the residents moving, thinking and laughing. With a piano in the main lobby, we never know who might take up tickling the ivories! As the music begins, the crowd grows and the voices lift in harmony! We LOVE singing along. Mom's favorite activity is Bingo!, of which she brags about her winning prowess. Another point I must discuss? The food. Not what you'd expect for an 'institutional' setting. The residents enjoy their meals in an informal dining room, seated at a table with three of their friends. The kitchen prepares a diverse variety of cuisine, including daily soups, main dishes and desserts. On holidays they prepare traditional fare, too. We know because we've tasted some amazing Corned Beef on St Patrick's Day and complete turkey dinners at Thanksgiving, for example. The staff always invites us to dine if we'd care to, not just for special occasions. As I am writing this review, I've found it more challenging than usual to translate my thoughts and feelings onto blank screen. Entrusting strangers with a loved one's care can be a daunting task. In so many instances there may be feelings of settling, of helplessness or even guilt. These are normal reactions typically, as we must walk away, virtually turning our backs on those who may have raised us and were there for us. BUT, my delightful conundrum is that I/we have NONE of those feelings about Spring Oaks and Mom being a part of that beautiful family. We, and she, feel the love and care each moment of every day. WE are wonderfully WOW'd!

She had been diagnoses with the onset of dementia and was told she would probably not get better. The staff at Spring Oaks are wonderful! And the change in my Mother in 6 short months is a miracle! She can walk, she can now dress and feed herself. I wish I could show you a before and after picture, so you can see the return of my Mom. She loves it at Spring Oaks. She has lots friends and keeps busy doing activities. Her mental condition has remarkably improved. I credit a lot of this miracle to the staff and people at Spring Oaks. The people that work there care. They are friendly and have treated my mom with love and respect. They pushed my Mom to get involved with activities and engaged with her like family. My Mom now calls Spring Oaks "Home". When I took my mom to Spring Oaks I trusted them to care of her...they did way more than that.

They have a vibrant program for MC and a slew of mature volunteers who keep the residents engaged. What I like: the food is delicious and it is bright and airy. The rooms have built in storage....so much I didn't have to even bring a dresser if I didn't want to. The bathroom has ample storage too. The deep cleaning occurs weekly and is done so well-even the corners are reached. The Executive Director is approachable and responsive. The staff are helpful and responsive too. I can access staff quickly and directly via phone. Cameras (no audio) are allowed and that has given me peace of mind to see my mom's routines and her interactions with the staff. I am pleased that TS wants so much transparency. The questions I have had are answered quickly and a win/win appears to be the goal. The house itself is a large classic building that seems like it was transported from Tuscany. It's situated on something like 12 acres with lush gardens all around as well as big oak trees. Inside, the building is decorated with murals of an old world feel. Each resident gets her own room decorated with classic decorations as well wall art. Each room also has all modern amenities such as TV with cable. The woman (Elsa) who runs the Hacienda House is from Europe and speaks fluently English, Spanish, and German. She has a very bubbly, happy personality and immediately makes you feel welcome. She gives each of the residents individual attention when it comes to medical needs, food they like, or passing the time together. Regarding the food, it's cooked at the house and it's nutritious and delicious. Definitely not cafeteria food. If you are looking for a place for your elderly relative that is not cold and corporate but run like a welcoming home, this is the place. It only takes up to 4 residents so the attention will be of quality. And just the setting and the food is soothing and inspiring. And by the way the cost is not more than those corporate facilities. I'm glad we found Elsa. I highly recommend this place.
