Came here for lunch for a little date with my wife for the first time in a long time, and we couldn't have picked a better place. On the outside the place is pretty unassuming. It almost felt like I was walking in the wrong door, it was so undecorated. But once inside it was warm and inviting. The guy inside welcomed us and said we couldn't sit anywhere we wanted, which is always nice. Once sitting we decided on our dishes and had a nice conversation with the waiter. We got our soup which was really good (hot &sour) then our food came out and the first thing we noticed was the portion sizes, the plates are huge! Another place that tended to our party of 25 with no rsvp! It just how it goes. Kids play sports then its chow time. No adult beverages here but we managed! Please know the difference between chow mein, low mein lol look up the meal if needed. Language barrier was really killing us here unfortunately. I have eaten at Royal Dragon literally hundreds of times , I am never disappointed . My friends from Wendover don't consider it a trip to town without a stop to see Janae at the Royal Dragon . The egg foo young is amazing regardless of which way you chose it from veggie to house special always hits the spot . Their hot and sour soup can't be beat, the wontons are always crisp and well filled , chow mein is best I have ever had , sesame beef is my husband's favorite . We eat there at least once a week portions are huge expect leftovers I usually eat at lunch for two lunches or a dinner makes three meals for me can't say enough good about this place service is excellent food is excellent restaurant is clean they can handle huge parties and never miss a beat. read more

Wow! We were recommended this restaurant by some friends and they were spot on! The food here is delicious and they give you HUGE servings! I ordered the Sesame chicken and I had three meals from it! The chicken was so tender and the sauce delicious. My husband ordered the Mongolian Three Kinds, this plate was incredible! I liked the sesame chicken lunch, it is made with white meat, and has a great flavor and is a reasonable amount and price. I didn't care for the ham fried rice whatsoever nor the egg drop soup because the soup has so much corn in it it only tastes like corn. I'd like to try the soup corn free and I'd probably like it. read more

We've been looking for a good local Chinese food restaurant for quite some time and I think we have finally found one. The Royal Dragon had good reviews on Yelp so we gave it a try for takeout and were really impressed with the food. Food was ready when we arrived, 10 minutes after ordering. We tried the cheese wontons that were excellent. 5/5 BBQ Pork slices, kind of like Charshu, just okay, char shu at other places had better quality of meat. 3/5 Sesame Chicken, had a really nice crunch to it and very flavorful. Must say we were impressed from the very first bite. 5/5 Orange Chicken very good as well, similar to the sesame chicken with an orange flavor. 5/5 Ham fried rice. 4/5 Portions were large and good to share with the family. I have eaten in this location when it was a different restaurant but had not been here since it has been the Royal Dragon. I love Chinese food, and was excited to give it a try. We were one of the only tables in place, so we had attentive and friendly service. They offered some daily specials but we chose to order off the lunch special section of the menu. I opted for the Almond Chicken lunch with egg roll and fried rice. This also came with egg drop soup. It was a little strange, like ground up eggs but little flavor. I added some soy sauce to spice it up. I ordered some hot tea, and the waitress seemed to think that was a strange choice with my lunch. The almond chicken entree was not what I was expecting. I typically get breaded chicken breast with a sweet sauce. This dish was grilled chicken with chopped celery and peas. The sauce wasn't sweet at all, and mostly flavorless. I liked the egg roll and ended up eating my husband's also, dipped it yummy sweet and sour sauce. My husband seemed to like what he ordered, and I think I just ordered the wrong thing. too expensive for the food we got. chicken was mushy we got the dinner plates and it was +3.00 to substitute noodles for rice making it $20 per plate total $43. There were barely any noodles so I was annoyed that it was an extra expense but didn't feel worth it. Dont go there and ask for something to be spiced up, if it's not spicy on the menu. These people looked at me like I was crazy. They kept talking back and forth in their language and you could tell it was related to my request. Grateful that Royal dragon was open on Christmas. They quoted me 30 minutes to have food ready. I showed up 30 minutes later with two children only to find out that it would be just a few more minutes... 45 minutes after my food was finally ready. I'm perfectly willing to wait an hour and 10 minutes for food if you quote me an hour and 10 minutes but don't quote me 30 if you're going to take an hour and 10. AMAZING!!! I'm not kidding the chicken is CRIPSY but so soft on the inside!!! the egg soup drop also adds a flavor contrast to the Crispy orange chicken and the wontons! Goodness this place does not skimp on portions. Fresh green beans on point, chicken lo mein and fried rice very good, also tried Kung pao and sweet and sour chicken. Was very shocked how awe the food was, you will wait for about 20-35 minutes for your food, but that's because it's fresh and delicious. The staff are awesome and amazing. I really appreciate the time and dedication they make by giving you fresh food always. Royal Dragon is a place you crave and want to come back to over and over. Not sure how this place has 4.5 stars... betting on most the reviews coming from owners or employees. To start, my husband called to place our order for takeout. We ordered ham fried rice, cashew chicken, sesame chicken, and chicken lo mein. The guy on the phone told my husband it would be ready in 5-10 minutes, that should have been our red flag. Chicken Lo Mein- lack luster for sure, nothing special about this dish. Couldn't even finish what was on my plate. Sesame chicken- not crunchy like what other reviews claim. Super soggy, the breading slid right off the meat when dishing it on my plate. I can't even remember what it tasted like, that's how good it was. Cashew chicken- the only dish that was ok, and I mean JUST ok. Typical cashew chicken, but needed more flavor. Ham fried rice- I don't even know.... All in all, go to Panda Express over this place, and I say that not even liking Panda Express. My husband said Royal Dragon is food court quality, I don't think I'd be that nice. We are new to the area and are shopping for a regular Chinese place and we may have found it. It's as close as it gets to the really good place we moved from. Finding new favorite restaurants is very tricky because people are so very different but as far as food, this place has good food you can't go wrong even if you're just trying it out. We ordered food to go for a party of ~10 people. Super happy with the ordering experience and it took less than 20 minutes to prepare everything and have it ready to go. They were nice and put all of the containers in cardboard boxes for easy transportation. Anything with sauce had cling wrap around the outside of the clam-shell container (excellent idea) to prevent leaks. There was a cool little dude (about 12) working up by the counter and he was awesome to help carry things to the car. I honestly don't remember everything that got ordered but there was enough food for everyone, sold at a reasonable price, and everyone was happy with what they were eating. My wife and ate at Royal Dragon Restaurant in Roy last week! It was among the BEST Chinese Food I ever had! I am EXTREMELY picky when it comes to Chinese Food! It is locally owned, and the owners are Chinese! To give you an Idea, As we were leaving (Lunch Rush was over), The owner and an assistant were hand rolling Egg Rolls from scratch!
