The consistency within So Delicious has been far beyond So Amazing that I did feel it was right to leave them yet another review as I frequent this place regularly. Hand's down, they have the BEST Unagi Don (Eel Poke/Rice bowl's) out of everyone that I have tried. And their quality always remains the same...it gets even better each and every time I visit. I really appreciate them for that:+) Tried a couple new rolls that both absolutely blew my mind in regards to quality and quantity. The Crazy Roll is absolutely insane in regards to deliciousness (+ spice) and has a soybean base roll which really gives it a whole other fantastic flavor altogether. Spicy Crawfish Avocado Roll is absolutely loaded with crawfish (and as someone who frequents restaurants with seafood boils, it waa a great pleasure to have delicious crawfish without the task of dismantling them). Another thing that I do greatly appreciate about So Delicious, is that when they tell you on their menu that a roll is "spicy", it actually IS unlike so many other competitors. The Soft Shell Crab Appetizer is another must to try which also blew my mind in regards to flavor and portions. This place has quickly become my go-to for sushi in the area. I've ordered a few times now, and the quality is consistently amazing--especially for Utah! The salmon nigiri is incredible--it literally melts in your mouth like butter. The pieces are a great size, too, which I really appreciate. I also tried the Good Sell roll, and it might be one of my new favorites. That little hint of lime? Chef's kiss. My only (minor) complaint is that sometimes they use a bit too much rice, but they more than make up for it with flavor. They don't skimp on the sauce, and every roll I've tried so far has been packed with it in the best way. Honestly, this is probably my favorite spot to order sushi from around here. We ordered: - sweet potato roll - Boston roll - spicy tuna roll - crazy roll - shrimp tempura roll Not only was the food amazing, but they were all packaged presentable in the styrofoam boxes with 3 chopsticks, soy sauce and little cups to put the soy sauce in. Their attention to detail is on point and quality of customer care. I love that I didn't have to ask for anything, especially because I forgot until I unpacked at home and realized they covered it all automatically. We went for dinner on a Monday night, and it wasn't super busy, but there were other families there as well. The rolls say half off, and they're really close to normal prices. I recommend the lion king roll WOW!!!! Besides a dew rolls, We also got an appetizer and kids meal orange chicken. So Delicious was So....... Disappointing. Let me start by saying that it is Valentine's Day, my expectations weren't super high. I absolutely knew it would be a wait, and busy, pretty much anywhere. We arrived at So Delicious in Roy at 6pm on Valentine's Day. There were a lot of people in the lobby area so we thought there would be a little wait. Surprisingly we were seated right away. The majority of the people waiting were Grubhub drivers. Approximately 10-12 people waiting for orders to go. We were seated, brought water and a soda I asked for. A few minutes later, the server returned and took our order. 5 Sushi rolls and an order of edamame. Time 6:15. The edamame arrived within about 5 minutes. It's now 6:20, and we started eating the pretty delicious garlic edamame. At 6:50, no sushi had shown up yet. I mentioned to my wife that Sam's Club closes at 8pm, and we might be able to pop in to pick up a couple of things. The restaurant was busy, so if we couldn't make it, I'd go in the morning. The server never returned to see if I wanted another soda, or to say anything. 7:15 I mentioned to my wife "it's been over an hour" In the meantime, there were about 15 people in the lobby for Grubhub orders, all new delivery drivers. There were 6 sushi chefs behind the counter, and bag after bag of to-go orders kept coming out. At 7:30, after no server had yet to return, I had enough. We had been there an hour and a half and no dinner yet. I went to the register and said "ring me up for the edamame and soda, we're not waiting any longer, we've been here over an hour and a half ". Surprise! There's the server. She rang me up, and turned the screen towards me. No, I'm not leaving a tip. We left, still pretty hungry. We stopped at a local Hawaiian food place and picked up in the drive thru and went home. Dear So Delicious management. I doubt this is your first Valentine's day with Grubhub making pickups. The really great thing about the Grubhub portal is when you are absolutely slammed with in-store customers, you can pause orders from coming through. Instead, you were greedy. You put all those delivery orders ahead of your in-store customers. Shame on you. Again, let me reiterate, my expectations weren't hugely high on such a busy date night, but let's be real. You can do better. Turn off Grubhub, doordash, when you can't serve your customers. This really isn't your servers fault (although she never attended our table after taking our order), she was probably overwhelmed as well. This is bad restaurant management. I ordered 7 rolls between me and my significant other and one appetizer. I honestly have no idea why I ordered so much. I guess it was because I was really hungry and it was a "see food diet" kind of thing, haha. Calamari appetizer: it was okay as I wanted more of a crunch to it. I really liked that they cut a hole in the foam so it doesn't become soggy. All of the rolls that I ordered were okay. My two favorites are the Cajun roll and the Roy roll. The Cajun one was creamy and I liked how there was crawfish on top of it. Roy was great because of the lemon. It had a great taste as it was different from the others. Ok, I really expect very little when I see a sushi restaurant in the desert. I live in Hawaii and have become accustomed to very good sushi at somewhat reasonable prices. This, coupled with the number of times my family and I have been to Japan where one can feast on EXCELLENT sushi cheap, made me VERY skeptical of So Delicious. So when my granddaughters suggested that we have dinner on the fly at So Delicious, I was wondering if I might need some Pepto after. Thankfully, however, the experience was very good . . . not Japan good . . . or Hawaii good . . . but nice for the high desert of Utah. Prices were reasonable and the staff were pleasant. My only complaint is that the service was SSLLOOOOWW. However, the end result was satisfying. I would go again, especially if the specials continue to be 1/2 price. read more

Updated review for take out: Pros: super fast, good value, great fried rice, and Mongolian beef was decent. Cons: general tsao's chicken was mediocre. Takeout rolls were sandwiches between hot items and got warm, and the rolls themselves were lackluster. We ordered spicy salmon and spicy tuna, there were so much filler in the fish paste that you barely can taste the fish besides the spicy Mayo and tempura crunchies. I remember their specialty rolls were a little better when I ate in, so I would probably steer towards those instead. Such a shame bc basic rolls are hard to mess up as long as the ingredients/components are good. The dinner combos are a good deal for $10 that comes with a spring roll, soup or salad, fried rice (basic but very very tasty) and the entree. Food was ready in less than 15 minutes from calling in, super fast. Service was good too at pick up. read more

So, I'm going to just go on record here and tell you I wasn't expecting much. Any place that advertises 1/2 price sushi every day forms an image in my head somewhere between "high end" sushi and the stuff you buy at the deli counter of the local grocery store. Pleasantly surprised here! First, the selection of rolls and nigiri was outstanding. Multiple pages on the menu and not everything was a variation of the basic Krab or tuna roll. Soft Shell crab rolls ( my favorite) could be had well under $10 and there was a great variation in their rolls that made you want to study the menu just a little bit harder. Service was great. They kept an eye on your table and made sure drinks were full, orders were submitted and coming as quickly as possible, and the presentation on the plates was quite fine as well. I tried a few items from the nigiri selection and was happy with most everything I ordered. The unagi (my second favorite) wasn't great and I think we just got some eel that wasn't great that night. It happens. They are moving locations before long to a larger spot across the road with better access. I received 2 pieces of shrimp and other random Tempura vegetables. If I liked squash, or deep fried broccoli, I would have ordered it. But I wanted enough Tempura Shrimp for 3 people. And of course, nothing to dip it in. Although, they did provide me with a cup... (see photo). I ordered the Mango Shrimp roll. The Mango was so "green" I couldn't bite into it. I picked it out of the center of the roll. The eel sauce and spicy mayo consists of a small "dab" in the tray, and they set the roll on top of it. As Far as I heard, everyone got what they ordered & all but one who is rarely happy with what they get was happy. One ordered a bento box & was very happy. It's in what used to be a Denny's. i ordered Udon noodle soup (thick noodles). Came with shrimp & veg. tempura. Quite good & plenty to eat. Edamame was quite good too. Why are the pieces in the rolls so big? The wasabi was dry and the ginger was a mess. The food taste pretty good for what I ordered. I think there is too much Sri racha in the spicy mayo and it overpowered the sweetness on the coconut roll. The flavors didn't really go together. The playboy roll and the eel hand roll were really good. I'm sure other people don't mind the giant sized individual pieces, but when I come to a sushi restaurant I like to try a few different rolls. The service was good, the restaurant seemed Clean. There was a chef who was sick but I did see them wearing a mask. Not sure they kept it on the whole time though. I would give 3.5 stars if that was an option because really the food was decent and the service was good. Sushi is an art and it's the little things that make a difference. My wife and I stopped in for some sushi. We hadn't tried So Delicious Japanese Wasabi in years and thought we would give it another try. Here our results with my rating first and her rating second. Good Sell 3.5 and 3 We were really excited to try this roll, but it just wasn't amazing like we had hoped. The flavors didn't dance in our mouths. The cucumber added a nice crunch though. Black Jack 4 and 4 We really liked the Serrano in this roll. All the flavors worked well together. Strangely the cilantro was either not noticeable or missing all together from this roll. Spicy Crawfish Avacado 1.5 and 0 Yes, my wife gave this a zero. The crawfish just didn't taste good. It didn't taste fresh and was not good. Crazy Roll 3.5 and 4 Again the spicy tuna tasted a bit off, but this was a good roll. We enjoyed the jalapeño crunch. Royal Flush 4 and 4 Good roll with good flavors. We enjoyed the calamari tempura. Tuna Love 2.5 and 2.5 The tuna was chewy, connective tissues or something. It just didn't melt in my mouth like butter. The tuna tasted fishy and just not fresh.
