If I could give a 0 rating, I would. I bought clothes from there, yes, but it's all about customer service and the way customers are treated. I went there and I picked out a handful of clothing pieces and the total came out to almost $600, Yes, I didn't realize the prices of item of clothing, no I'm not cheap, but $600 for 12 pieces is kind of too much for me, I understand every store has their prices and styles. But what my issue was the comments from the associates. I wanted to take some pieces out and the cashiers starts chuckling. This was the convo: Cashier: "Well you did get 12 pieces" Me: "yeah can I take a look at the bag to see if I can take some stuff out?" Cashier: slowly takes the bag and hands it over to me in a bothered way "You sure you don't want to get more stuff?" Me: "No I want to take stuff out" Cashier: "you should flip a coin" Me: "for what?" Cashier: "to see if you should get more" starts laughing Me: "I'm trying to make it less, not more" Basically the tone I was getting from her smart attitude was making me feel cheap. You should never make a customer feel that way, I'm getting what I wanna get, whether I can afford it or not, you should never make a customer feel like they're doing wrong with what they wanna get or not get. I am what most would call a shopaholic. I have shopped numerous boutiques both online and brick and mortar for clothing. I have rarely had much luck in finding fashionable clothes in a size 12/14 that don't make me look 30 years older than I am! I struggled for a long time until I found this gem! I have gotten so many compliments on my clothes, accessories, shoes, and hats! The staff has amazing customer service. The owners and the rest of the staff are beyond nice. I have had several instances when they went out of their way to find things I'd love so I'd walk out the store happy. If a style I liked was sold out of my size they tried to find a similar style just to ensure my satisfaction. They truly care about their customers and making them happy which is r The boutique is always spotless!!! Makes shopping so easy, I love the layout of the store and how everything is so organized. I have no trouble searching for what I'm looking for! Out of town? Don't live nearby? Not a problem!! Being a mom of 4, getting into the store isn't always easy for me. WOW. I can't believe how much I like this store! I am going to risk sounding like a jerk, perhaps even racist in this review for the sake of honesty. In my experience, the Chaldean owned boutiques in this area are awful to shop in, as the staff ignores you completely but will trip over themselves rushing to assist any Chaldeans who walk in. I have gotten the distinct impression that these places are opened up by some girl's dad so she can hang out with her friends. I don't need to be catered to, but if Im going to buy say, 10 items from your shop- a bit of friendliness isn't totally unheard of. I have NEVER walked out of one of these shops happy- with or without purchases. This was NOT my experience inside of Royal Dutchess. In addition to the store's owner and staff being sunny, cheerful, energetic and VERY helpful- the store actually has things I want! In opposition to every other boutique on Orchard Lake Road, this store is spacious, easy to browse in, and full of items that are quality, very trendy, and priced appropriately. I love how this store is laid out, I love the atmosphere and friendly vibe, and I love the carpet! lol, I really do. Whether you need an outfit for a night out or an occasion or just cute everyday clothes, Royal Dutchess is the place to go. I love shopping and I go to many boutiques. Many of of which I will never return to because of the service I receive. I hate walking into a store without being greeted, asked if I need help, or simply just being rude. I found this boutique on cold winter day waiting for Thai food carry out. The store is filled with on trend clothing. Looks range from casual to black tie. In short the staff is very friendly and they really want you to find what you're looking for. This place is alway my ace in the hole when I need something elegant, on fleek and unique for any events. I've also lost a lot of weight and a lot of my closet staples have been coming from the Royal Duchess. My first time there I bought a few shirts. The price point is moderate but the quality is out of this world. I'm hard on my clothes and they have held up through washes and stains. The next few times I've visited I've needed dresses/ outfits for events or it was pay day and I'm all about shopping. Haha. Every time I've been there, I have used their dressing rooms. They are very spacious and furnished well. The mirror situation is great. The atmosphere is such that when you walk out of the dressing room to look at other mirrors, you don't feel awkward. Sales associates and even customers are very positive and helpful. It's a great environment for those who may want help styling themselves or are shy. Chanel (sp?) is a face I see all the time. Her suggestions are spot on and I don't feel like she's trying to up sell me. (I am very sensitive to that. haha.) She hooked me up with their snapchat and instagram. As cliche as this sounds, if you're in love with something, get it. Part of being on trend means stock is what it is. Once it sells out, odds are it wont be back. There are also a good amount of things on sale. I did have an exchange and it was hassle free. Be aware that they only do exchanges within 14 days. Thats probably why the dressing rooms are so nice so you know exactly what you're getting. If you're someone who follows fashions and trends, this is the spot to hit up. :) read more

I honestly must say, this is the worst boutique I've ever walked into. I've been there about 3 times & ALL 3 times I've had the same problems. I can't keep giving chances. You walk in & the brunette lady barely says hi, giving off the impression that she's too good. Then, you have her 15 year old employees running up to you begging you to buy things or try them on. Finally you have the (what I'm assuming is the) owner & the employees talking about you in a corner! Disgusting. These people want you to spend money & they make it clear that it's all they want! They are so rude! From the owners, to the employees! Unless you want to be judged for glancing in the sale section, or even looking just to look, do not walk in here. You're judged by your looks/what you wear. It seems we're not up to their "standards" of customers. They're just snobby. I'd rather be shopping at Kiss and Tell or other boutiques in the area. read more

I bought 4 groupons worth $60 a piece to this store to buy clothes for my daughter's birthday. 2 for her and 2 for me to spend, totaling $240. My daughter had a blast finding and trying on clothes. There was a lot to chose from. By the time we left my daughter not only used the 4 Groupons but she spent an additional $240 on top of it. The sales woman at the store was also very helpful and polite in trying to find just the right clothes. The clothes she bought were different (more artsy) from what you would find in a department store. My daughter has received many compliments when she wears these clothes.
