This place is so underrated! It's in a tiny shopping plaza, so if you're not searching for it, you'll definitely miss it. I ended up making a very dangerous uturn and going far too fast over a speed bump, when I saw the word "gaming", out of the corner of my eye. And it's definitely a gamers store. They have every console and game from the early 80s until now. Every part and piece you'd need to build your perfect set up, from extra controllers, to guns for duck hunt. They literally have it all. And the prices are actually reasonable! I ended up grabbing an extra controller for my ps4, and some older games that I'd been searching for, and spent less than $100. You can for sure spend some time in here (it was crowded a bit when we arrived), and you'll still probably miss it all. Worth a visit if you're into classic/retro gaming, as well as anything new. Attention all retro gamers!!! This is the store for you! If there is something you are looking for, I'm pretty sure they have it in stock and at a reasonable price as well. The two gentlemen working were Uber knowledgeable when answering all my questions and helping me find a specific game. Cool store but the owner is pretty rude. Asked about price matching because gamestop wanted less for their Playsation 3 controllers gamestop wants $17.99 for their ps3 dualshock controller this guy wants 29.99 even Ebay wants less. He said no so i just let it go. Then i guess he went in the back to research if the stores had them in stock around the area and he went to remind me that its rare for the stores to have them in stock. So i said well they offer shipping, then he proceeds to cut me off and was like well man if you want to order it online then go ahead. Like brother i wasnt trying to argue with you i took no as an answer and went about my day but you wanted to bring it up again and get cunty about it lol. Even before this experience after shopping here a few times this guy comes off as very rude i even remember a time where i went to trade in a few games and he wanted one game for $10 but it was worth $40 on Ebay so i said yeah ill pass man but then he said this other one is worth $1.70 so i said ok screw it let me get that $1.70 then he says honestly its not worth doing all the paper work for so i'll pass. Bro was likely just hurt i wouldnt let him get the game thats worth $40 for $10. People, look at other retailers or try ebay. So this was my first time visiting. I was really excited then they told me hey there's all these holiday sales going on gave me a piece of paper to take a look at it so I went ahead and did a bunch of shopping based around this holiday sale. When I got to check out, I said can I make sure that I got everything the right way so that I get the deals. They owner said yeah no problem they scanned everything I went to check he said its all good no need to check. After driving an hour back home I look at the receipt and was like wait how did this total come out to $150 with what I bought, so I just sat down priced everything out including taxes etc. Come to find out they didn't actually give me the deals and I paid about $40 more then I should have been charged. Tried calling 3 times no answer. Just really bummed out because I even tried to prevent this from happening! read more

What an awesome store! I went in to see if they had some retro games for my original XBOX and they not only had a few games, but they had a huge inventory of XBOX games. More than I've seen in one place. Not only that but they're priced really well. You would have a hard time finding anyone who could beat their prices. They even had a big selection of Genesis games which blew me away. I would say they had hundreds of them and a quality inventory. They had the original Mortal Kombat and the original Madden. Talk about memories. I was tempted to pick the Madden and Pat Riley Basketball game. I was in heaven there. The clerk was really nice and pointed out where they had more games, consoles, and even old-school computers. The owner came over to help get all the discs for the games I had picked and I mentioned in passing that it would be nice if there was an original XBOX wireless controller. He goes on yeah, I have some that are 3rd party. I'm like that's not a problem. Went over and picked 3 for me to pick from. I'm just in amazement and happy. I mentioned that I was looking for 3 individual games that I could not locate. Golden Axe and Streets of Rage for Genesis and I wanted SSX Tricky for the original XBOX. The owner goes to the shelves to look and doesn't find them. So he asks me to wait a moment so he can search his inventory. He comes out and says he doesn't have Golden Axe or Streets of Rage, but has SSX Tricky. He said the disk wasn't in good shape so he went in the back and repaired the disk for me and said if anything goes wrong to come back and he'll make good on it. You can't get that level of customer service anymore. Truly a step above than anywhere I've been to lately. Great owner and a great employee. I was not only highly impressed with the owner and employee but also with their inventory. They even knew what games were and weren't compatible across the XBOX platforms and had a list for customers to check. This is the best place to go and get retro games and new ones. They go above and beyond to help you out. I just wish I could give them more than 5 stars. read more

This store is hands down the best store I have ever seen. I am a huge collector of video games. I have a lot of rare things, so I know SNES RPG while cool, isn't that rare. This guy had a Panasonic GameCube, A NES TV, a top loader NES, A sega CD Model 2. He has import Famicom and Super Famicom, and to boot he is the nicest guy I have ever met. We were from out of town and he gave us a tour and treated us like family. I was able to buy a PS1 LCD screen (It looks brand new) I got a copy of Shadowrun on NES. Retro collectors do yourself a favor and make the trip to his store. I promise you he will have something you don't have. HE also has Boxed NES and Boxed SNES games. They have a good selection for sure but you have to be careful of a few things. My first time buying a GameCube game, it didn't work. I would prefer a refund but they do not issue refunds so I had to wait a while for a new copy which was disappointing. Then on another occasion I had bought my gf the Sims Star Wars bundle for the Xbox one, but the game did not come with the dlc as the game case advertised which was a big part of the reason we got it. When I brought this to their attention they informed me they still do not do refunds and there is always going to be a chance you do not get the dlc if you purchase from them, even if it is advertised on the games case. When I suggested they disclose that to customers in the future they said they could not. Overall they offer a good selection of games but just be careful with what you're buying, make sure it works before you purchase it from them, and it is exactly what you want. Otherwise you will be stuck with store credit because they do not do refunds. read more

I came in to have him clean a disc for me (final fantasy 7 for ps1) so while he was in the back I asked his employee if he had another copy of the game that I could maybe purchase from him on top of him buffing my disc. He came storming out of the back, gave me my disc and told me that I was wasting his time by asking him the buff the disc if I was just going to buy one. He also told me that he doesn't sell discs individually and his employee didn't know that which I was not asking to do. I was completely thrown on off by his change in attitude because in prior visits he was very friendly to me. I said to him if your employee doesn't even know that you don't sell games individually how am I supposed to know that. He continued to give me attitude and told me that I can just leave. I looked at him and total confusion I said "I'm sorry but did I disrespect you in someway because I can assure you it was not on purpose". He then repeated to me to get out of the store. I have absolutely no idea why this exchange went bad but he did all of this in front of other customers so it was extremely embarrassing. I still couldn't understand why this was happening so I said to him "I've been a good customer and I've shopped several times I don't understand what's going on" and he said "it's not about the money, just get out". Obviously I will not be going back to the store and the whole thing is just extremely odd. ***update*** After having a long conversation with the manager about what went wrong. I believe that he was genuine in his eagerness to fix the situation. I will be changing my review for my one star review to a three star review. It shouldn't have happened to begin with but it says a lot about the company when they admit they are wrong and do what they can to fix it. read more

Can't believe the service of the guys @ RoyalEmpireGaming in Longwood . Super friendly and even stayed open until we got there right at closing .
