This shop has been around for almost two…read moreyears, and is a lovely mom and pop competitor to our corporate/sometimes unwelcoming other game shops in the area. In comparison, Numiru is always welcoming, quick, and friendly. The front half is sealed cards, board games, collectibles, and some books. Back half is singles, tables for games, and some drinks. While they don't have every product always, the selection they do have is at market price and varied. As we all know, Pokémon is the hot thing to scalp, and I always know that Numiru will have my back and at least a pack to buy in these trying times. They're only open Thursday-Sunday, but that's fine with me. For the value, friendliness, and lack of that certain something that makes me scared to ask questions in other shops, I'll wait for Numiru.

They have a wide range of trading cards, my kids were excited by the numerous versions of Pokémon. The prices are also reasonable. It seems like a small shop, but they have an excellent selection of board games, collectibles (funko, Star Wars, etc) books and snacks/drinks. The back of the store is setup for to play games and various tournaments. I was impressed with how clean the store was as well. I got to speak with the owners a bit and would love to hear more of their story and vision behind the store. We will be back and I encourage you to go check out and support a new local business!

When you walk in, you will see a long counter bar, on the left, with plenty of seats where you can order freshly made cookies and pretzels, along with a variety of floats. On the right side, you will see many products to purchase. Towards the back of the shop, on the left, there were a few couches surrounding a big screen TV where you can play games. Just beyond that, was a large table with chairs that can be used for things like playing board games, trading cards and enjoying the yummy treats they sell. Apparently they have some board games in the back that they can retrieve or you can bring your own. The right side had 2 mini arcade style machines, along with 4 gaming stations. They each had a docking station for you to use your own Nintendo switch. We were told it was all free to play. Wow! Finally, the bathroom. The bathroom is decorated in a Super Mario theme, which is so appropriate right now with the new Super Mario Bros move right now in theaters. What a way to get the kids out of the house, in a nice environment where the family can enjoy playing some games together.

When I walk in, I feel like I did when I was teenager in high school as I use to frequent a vinyl store similar to this one in Miami Beach. It's really just everything about it, the music, the dry humor in a lot of the items they sell, all of it. I'm a huge Bowie fan and they have his pretty face plastered on so many things. It always makes me smile when I see all the merchandise too. They do fun mystery bags. They have one for CD's, stickers, and DVDs. I have no idea what kind of DVD or CD's they'd include so I went ahead and bought one for stickers and was very pleasantly surprised at the variety and already added some of them to my computer and water thermos. Can't wait till my next visit.

The selection was incredible, the pricing was great, and the overall vibe of the store was perfect. Easily one of the best record stores I've ever been in anywhere. The owner was really nice- I scooped up a new John Constantine comic as well as a couple of Harley Quinn comics. Everything is neat and organized in this shop. The John Constantine new comic was $4.99 and the Harley Quinn's were $5.99 a piece. If you haven't been here I definitely recommend it! 10/10

I came in here to get a few books for gifts and was a bit out of my element, but it was a cool overall experience and I walked out with a couple of comics that I think the gift recipients will enjoy. The owner reassured me my choices were pretty solid. Prices were fair and again, the staff was great and they had a good selection. I would definitely recommend a visit here and with Christmas fast approaching, I will definitely be back. I will give Epic Comics and Collectibles five stars.

If I had a question, I was either "helped" with an annoyed monotone or a stifled laugh because... I don't know, I guess not knowing the name of certain cables and attachments makes me a plebeian fool? I avoided coming to this place like the plague for the longest time, but decided to return for curiosity's sake after learning that the previous staff had been replaced. Ever since the place changed owners, I can tell that they've had them focusing on making a more pleasant customer service experience. The weekend staff is so friendly and full of energy (I'm talking about YOU, Daniel), the shelves are always full and neat (except for the game guides. Most are well-used, so they unfortunately look like a frayed mess), and their selection is so wide, they even have some room for collectible goodies. The prices are a little rough, but they do try their best to price below GameStop for newer titles. I thought the retro games were pretty costly, but honestly, it's usually close to the cost as if I were to get them on eBay and include shipping. Can't really fault them for that if they're trying to make a profit. If there's anything close to negative I have to say, it's probably that the place is getting a little too popular again? Because there are so many people coming in, having only two people running front desk at a time leaves the risk of customers waiting a long time for a simple transaction, since they also handle repairs and the like. Maybe have someone who doesn't run a register that goes around answering questions? Not sure, but I do get sad when I see somebody who has been waiting in line just sigh and walk off because front desk is still working on testing a traded-in console. I wish them the best and hope they grow enough to hire more staff!
