Drywall dust and debris Left Behind after job completed

After approximately 35 days after I complained about a leak (the fault of the punctuality might lie with me landlord , so I'll give them that) these clowns show up to my apartment. I wasn't home at that time , so my maintenance man let them in. When I returned the crew's truck and trailer was not only blocking access to my parking space, but blocking access to all six available parking spaces for my apartment building. As I walked up to my door I noticed that it was hanging wide open. The high for that day was a chilly 40° and my heat was turned up to 72°, again, with the front door hanging wide open. When I entered they informed me that it should only be about an hour to go. A few minutes later they were leaving, supposedly because they had brought the wrong parts. (According to the maintenance man this was the second time that day that they were leaving because they have the wrong parts.) These guys don't work clean. Their tools were all over the place. Drywall dust all over the place. Wet drywall splatter everywhere from the bathroom all the way to the front door. I got tired of listening to their work so I went out to sit in my car. I noticed the guys leave once more and wondered if they had finished (because they certainly didn't say anything to me) I go inside and find the job to be completed , mostly. A fixed leak, a new bathtub, and a colossal mess of drywall dust and splatter throughout my bathroom, trailing out into the hallways, trailing out all the way to the front door. (I will provide pictures of everything if possible) It took me two hours to clean up everything and even to this moment I don't know how to get the white drywall tint out of my hardwood floor which again trails all the way from the bathroom, down the hallway and all the way to the front door. In my business you respect the property you are in , and you clean up after your crew. I could hear one of the guys on their cell phone on a personal call talking about how this job was running them past their normal quit time (which may or may not have happened had the imbeciles brought the correct parts the first, or even the second time) and so I'm reasonably sure that their complete and utter nonexistent cleanup was a result of then already having to work 15 minutes past 4 p.m. on this day. The bathtub was installed correctly, everything seems to work fine. So I would only use these guys if you're willing for them to come in, shit all over your house, have no respect for your home in terms of your light bill, heating bill, or leaving open your place of parking your car in the event that it might save them a couple of steps, and then leave piles of it uncleaned up once they are finished.

I called Summers because we needed a fairly simple plumbing repair and because there was an online…read morecoupon. The plumber fixed the issue, then encouraged us to consider purchasing a maintenance package, which would cut the price of that service call as well as future calls and would discount the cost of any repairs and supplies. Most importantly, he said, the company would come to our house three times a year to evaluate, maintain, and repair any issues with with plumbing and HVAC. We usually avoid warranty and service packages, so I wasn't sure whether my husband would agree to it. But, the plumber said he could set up the maintenance plan, then cancel it if my husband opposed the idea. We went ahead and purchased the maintenance plan. Today was the first maintenance visit, and the HVAC guy disassembled our furnace and outside AC unit, pointed out potential problems, and advised me on whether there were major issues or whether we could wait on replacement. He also replaced the filter on the furnace, going to the trouble of finding us a less expensive version of the usual model. He spent well over 2 hours working on and cleaning our units. The company seems very committed to good service. They call to confirm the appointment, show up when they say they will, and cover their shoes with these funny little slipper-things before they come in the house. The office also calls with a follow up survey and asks whether the technician arrived on time, covered his feet, etc. They only fault I could find was that I was expecting a plumbing evaluation today, not an HVAC. I don't know where that miscommunication happened, but it wasn't a big deal to me. I figured that Summers was a national company with franchises, because they're pretty slick with branding. As it turns out, they are local to central Indiana but have several branch offices.

I had them come out in mid-October to service my Furnace and AC unit. They gave the standard 2-hour window, no problem with this. HOWEVER, Not only did they not call me to tell me they were running late, but when me, myself, and I called them to ask where they were they lied and told me they were only about 30 minutes out. 1 hour later I finally got a call saying they were 15 minutes out. So glad I left work anticipating them being there during their window, but now they will be coming even later! I reluctantly stayed until they arrived, and showed them to the Furnace, AC Unit, and Thermostat. My wife was home at the time, so I told them if they had any questions ask her or call me on my cell, which I provided them my number. Shock, to my surprise they left 10 minutes after I did. Provided no report of what they accomplished or looked at while they were there, but I also tried contacting their boss Casey Short to get an update on the report. A week goes by and I hear nothing from Casey. Two weeks go by and I finally hear something from Casey that he will look into it tomorrow. Another week goes by and Casey finally tells me he looked into it and can't find a service report from his guys. Didn't know tomorrow meant one week... Either way, he apologized about his guys not filling out a report or doing their jobs, and offered to send them back out and redo the service at no charge. What a nice guy right? I responded back to Casey the next day explaining that I would love to have his guys back out to redo the service, but I feel obligated to pay at least for one of the trips, I understand paperwork gets lost and stuff. Wouldn't you know I didn't hear a single peep from Casey to reschedule after I sent my message back to him? The first text went to him on November 1, then another on November 20, one on December 3rd, another on December 4th, and lastly one this morning. No Response to any of them. I must say the communication and their dedication to making customers happy is chefs kiss.

Early the next morning, I had a message from Adam B. Once I got to work, I returned the call and quickly described my issue and what I believed it to be. The first available appointment wasn't until Monday (it wasn't urgent, so I wasn't worried about going the weekend). I got my timeframe. I had a couple other appointments that day, so I ended up taking the day off so I could easily be available. I immediately liked that they told me who would be arriving - AND that was who arrived. I also liked that they use a customer portal that allows you to have some security if you pay online or to review your records. Christian arrived (there was one other person with him). It took him a couple minutes to diagnose the issue he believed it to be, and it took him not a lot longer to determine that diagnosis correct. He quoted the price, I agreed, and he got to work. After finishing the work, he determined the original issue I'd believed it to be wasn't quite needing to be addressed (but will be in the near future). We discussed options, including ways I could save a bit. Christian was personable and explained things in a way I could understand. The issue was likely caused by me, but he managed to avoid using the word "idiot" at any point. The repair was done in a timely manner. The price ended up being a bit lower than quoted. I appreciated his honesty as he very easily could have pointed me toward a repair not needing done yet. It also became obvious the last person I'd used had really only done half the job. Everything has worked beautifully since Christian finished. There are likely a couple more projects I'll tackle in the near future, and I won't hesitate to return to Grateful Plumber. The housecall was $59, but that was credited toward the repair once I decided to have them do the work. Friendly employees. Good follow-through. Fair pricing. Quality work. Problem solved. That's 5-star for me and another winner for Yelp's project feature.

I interviewed five plumbing companies, including Wyatt & Son's Plumbing. When you choose a company…read moreto work for you, it should be no different than candidates interviewing for jobs. I treat each company that comes out with respect; we discuss the various aspects of the job and how the job will be performed. Ultimately, we end up in salary (project cost) discussions. COMMUNICATION Wyatt and Son's was incredibly impressive. I used the Yelp projects system, and communication was seamless. JOB REQUIREMENTS 1. Replace a Bradford 50g water heater (leaking from the top) 2. Replace a Kenmore water softener that was 15 years old. 3. Fix a 40' run of 2.5" kitchen sink pipe detached from the ceiling due to the strap cables, held in by nails, used by the original installers. It wasn't draining anymore and was full of gunk. TECHNICAL INTERACTIONS I'm an incredibly technical person and engineer. I research everything from plumbing, electrical, carpet, etc. I like to know how things are installed and how they work for the simple fact of educating myself to get the best use out of everything. Barry and his son answered every question, and I never felt disrespected. While Barry has an opinion on specific equipment, which people should have, he walked me through the "whys" of arriving at his conclusion. Barry's approach demonstrated his openness to educating others and learning himself. I appreciated our time. PRICE Wyatt & Son's Plumbing price is incredibly competitive. There are a couple of things I look at: 1. How much am I paying for parts? 2. How much am I paying for labor? Parts are a commodity. You can find every price for every item online. I'm not a fan of companies who mark up their prices. I have to pay sales tax on parts, and every dollar added is more money out of my pocket on taxes. FINAL DECISION The decision came down to Wyatt and Son's Plumbing and another company. Nothing is worse than telling a fantastic candidate/company they won't receive the job. I had no joy in sending the message to Barry, and still, as of writing this review, I'd have Barry out in a heartbeat to quote the next job; there will always be another. TO THE READER Wyatt & Son's Plumbing must be a part of your quoting process. Their professionalism is top-notch, their interactions and knowledge are excellent, and their pricing is incredibly competitive, way cheaper than the large companies. TO BARRY Thank you again for coming to the house and participating in the process. The final decision was incredibly difficult. I hope this review becomes a cornerstone of continuing to send business your way. Wyatt & Son's Plumbing should be a part of everyone's selection process. I'll be passing referrals your way as they come along.

Barry found the problem right away and explained that at least one of the elements was burnt out and he was not sure he could get another one. He drove several miles into Marion and went to several stores and found 2 new elements and was back to our house in about an hour and had everything repaired and working in a half hour.
