We had a second kitchen leak within a 5 year period and had to remove all our downstairs wood floors for a second time. Not fun. The salesman and owner became hostile, raised their voices and talked over me when I went into the shop to talk about the problems and poor workmanship. There are a few things I want to make clear at the beginning of this review. One is that I started this project by interviewing three different companies. Second, I have very definite ideas of what I want and I'm not easily swayed. (This knocked out the first competitor. They make a very pretty, very similar kitchen for every client. They didn't have samples, but a small booklet with very few choices of colors and finishes and absolutely no customization.) Thirdly, this is not my first renovation. I have learned the hard way to only work with professionals who are responsive and timely in returning calls, etc... (This knocked out the second competitor. They were two hours late for the first meeting and although they promised a quote within the next couple of days, did not get back to me for nearly a week.) Armin from Royal was on time for our meeting, asked thoughtful questions and their showroom is a dream!!! When I went in to make choices, I met Vic and Tonya. I truly felt that they wanted to give me exactly what I wanted and that we were a team! I wanted something very high end and different. I had a vision and they helped me to bring it to life. I ended up not choosing a sample for cabinets, but showed them the color and gloss that I liked and they created a sample that was "spot on"! My neighbors had recently put in new flooring so I asked where theirs came from, that's how I heard about Royal. I was very please with my interactions with Vic & Armin. I was ready to place the order but wasn't sure the total flooring estimate was accurate, based on other quotes. Vic came back out to make sure he hadn't missed anything. Turns out if I'd followed the other estimate, I would have over ordered by quite a bit. Francisco & team came out to demolish my old flooring & install the new flooring. I couldn't believe how quickly they demo'ed the old flooring. They completed, in a manner of hours, what others had estimated days. While quick to complete the installation, they did a really nice job. I was particularly impressed with how they finished off corners of the baseboard. Some were rounded corner pieces; others were nicely squared off, even in areas there was only an inch or so to work with. When I'm ready to redo my kitchen, I'll return to Royal. read more

We worked with Armin for our kitchen and flooring remodel and had a great experience. It took us months to complete our remodel from picking the flooring and cabinets to completing the install but Armin walked us through the entire process and was very accommodating, professional, and easy to work with. He made multiple renderings for me until I was happy with the layout. He was flexible and let us bring in our own sub contractors for some parts i.e the countertops. He was never pushy and I believe gave us a very fair quote for the work. Once we signed on the dotted line, demo and construction started on time and finished in the estimated timeline. Armin helped us with our kitchen countertops. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. I like to take time to make decisions, and he was not pushy at all, very patient. I went to the store a few times and he was always busy, with calls. On the day I went to finalize my contract, he was on a call with a customer who needed their trashed hauled that day even thought it wasn't scheduled for that day. After they hung up, I was siting in front of him, he called someone else, and asked someone at the store, to get it taken care of that day. Everyone seemed busy but he really insisted to get one of his guys to go do the clean up. I wanted to point that out because the customer on the other end probably doesn't realize he had to shuffle his crew/schedule to address the same-day request. On top of that, he was very polite and professional to his team when asking them to get it done, it didn't sound like he was ordering them around, but more like asking them for help. For our kitchen, we weren't sure what the schedule would be, but he knew it would be inconvenient for us to not have sink / stove with a baby. He did his best to make it work for us. The team came and spent half a day demo-ing the existing counters, and came back just the next day to do the installation. It was a very quick turnaround, we are very pleased with the work, well done. Highly recommended business. We will go back to them with our future needs. read more

We hired Royal to install laminate flooring and renovate our two bathrooms. Two things I give them credit for: a good selection of materials to choose from and completion of work in a timely manner. However, we had several issues with the work: the flooring was installed without first cleaning up the underlayment, so the floor creaks badly; the new shower fixture did not provide hot water; the grout at the bottom of the shower cracked within a week or two (they came out and patched over with some more grout, and it too cracked); and they installed a rusted-out pipe nipple, which connects to the spout in the whirlpool tub, so that we were essentially left taking a mud bath. We mentioned the flooring issue repeatedly but got all kinds of stories about how the creaking is normal, it will go away, etc. Once I discovered the rustly pipe nipple, months later, I texted a picture of it to them and after a few days got a reply "what do you want us to do about it?". We've had to pay a handyman to fix the plumbing and grout problems, and we're just living with the floor as is. A disappointing experience, overall. read more

My mistake was not going with Royal Kitchen and Flooring to begin with. Instead, I met someone in Ben Moore Paint, next to Royal Kitchen and he said he made custom cabinets. Not true, plus they are made of particle board. After spending $16,500.44 I realized that this guy didn't know what he was doing, electrical plates, fillers because cabinets didn't fit, etc. Allen Knighton. Do not use him. Thank goodness Royal Kitchen and Bath didn't throw me out of their show room when I went crawling back. Their cabinets are made of maple, not particle board. The owner was just as nice as can be. Really feft sorry for me when I showed him photos of the shoddy cabinets. He is going to repair all the damage done by Allen Knighton. One shower in the guest bath has to be completely re-done because Allen Knighton pulled off bull nose. The bull nose and tile are discontinued. As he started pulling it off, I said "Maybe you better not do that because that tile may have been discontinued". He said "This is Dal Tile, you can get it anywhere". Not true. It is discontinued. That's what I get for thinking I was getting a better deal. NO WAY. Plus, he was referred by John at Ben Moore Paints. Anyway, I just want to thank Royal Kitchen, Vick and his staff, Tanya. They are pleasant and, truly felt bad for me. I came home today with beautiful samples and certainly can see the difference between particle board and maple. I spotted the particle board too late. This was a linen closet at the end of the hallway had been put up but, was not painted. That also has to come out. It is bowing. That is when I saw it was particle board. Plus, you never use particle board in a bath. Allen Knighton did. OK with all that being said, Royal Kitchen, Vick and staff are wonderful. And, in the end less expensive better quality, beautiful selection.They are very professional and only want to please you. I am just happy that they are willing to fix the mess made by Allen Knighton and do my master bath. At least I stopped Allen Knighton before he tried to demolish my master bath. In the end, the saying "You get what you pay for" is so true. In this case Allen Knighton was at least $6,000.00 than Royal Kitchen and Bath. Again, thank you Royal Kitchen, Vick and Tanya. I purchased a new condo and wanted to remodel the kitchen and replace the floors before moving in but the purchase was a probate sale so I couldn't commit to placing any orders until the court approved the sale. I shopped around and most places weren't interested in assisting my situation or said due to the pandemic it's going to take weeks or maybe months to get it done. Royal Kitchen and Floors wasn't fazed by my situation and agreed it was smart to start the process early - I first met with them in Sept. Vic came out and did all the measurements and made great suggestions and committed to working with me on the timeline around the probate sale. I worked with Armin on the design and he was great in making sure what I was interested in was in stock and if wasn't came up with alternative options. They are very accommodating, and I was able to get multiple samples of flooring and cabinets to finalize my design. Once the court approved my sale in early Dec and I closed a few days later, they were out to demo the day after I closed, and I had my entire remodel done in time for move in mid Jan. They are competitive in their prices and while there was a miss communication around installation of the backsplash Armin was quick to provide me my options and support my decision on what was within my budget. Their installers are great and very accommodating to scheduling, professional and informative on how best to care for the products they installed. Even after installation when a minor issue was uncovered Armin was quick to respond and have the installer come back out to resolve. Everyone at the store is very helpful and willing to answer "all' your questions, provide suggestions and share their knowledge without being pushy or condescending. Armin was always available to answer questions and respond to my emails at all hours. I don't think he sleeps :-) Their customer service separates them from the competition, and I highly recommend anyone to Royal Kitchen & Floors and look forward to working with them when I remodel my bathrooms next year. read more
