The first gun shot came from across the hall entering right above my pets food bowl and finishing in my living room after ricocheting through my kitchen. The next three came from the building directly next to me. Additionally the air conditioning does not work if it is hot outside which is extremely frustrating during the warmer months. If it's in the mid 80's outside then it is likely to reach the 80's inside. During the hottest weeks it's consistently upper 80's and even reaching 90 degrees on the thermostat. Due to the very weak A/C system and bad seals on doors/windows it takes a very long time to recover, usually getting back down into the upper 70's after 9-10pm. I've had maintenance come out to check my heating/cooling 7 times now and have been told by the office to just turn the A/C off on the hotter days to not pay for the A/C that simply cannot keep up with the summer temperatures.

It wasn't a bad apartment for the cost, but it was in a very old building. There was only two stories and the interior decor and furnishings looked reminiscent of the 70s maybe. Many of the Amber apartments now of course are much nicer and have town houses and condos available to rent now. I had a small bedroom with one small bathroom, but it had a long closet in the hallway, which was part of the living room area. The kitchen was fairly small as well, but functional. It surprisingly had a large dining area that fit my 12 seater table. Don't see much updates to the old apartments since then. It isn't the nicest or most luxurious the most updated apartment, but it worked for six months. If you intend to stay longer, I would advise otherwise.

For months, we dealt with severe plumbing problems, including sewage backing up into our kitchen sink, toilet, and bathtub, which made us both sick. Our closet flooded every time it rained or snowed, and management delayed fixing a large hole they cut in the wall due to mold. That hole also became a point of entry for bugs, including a spider infestation, making the situation even worse. We placed our rent in escrow for three months due to these unsafe and unlivable conditions. Only after months of neglect did they start repairs--and then they served us with an eviction notice, which felt completely retaliatory. I could keep going with how bad this place is. Don't let the workers fool you--when major problems come up, they just move people around or send staff to other locations until you move out or tensions die down. They can't keep anyone in that office, and they switch management companies frequently, blaming tenants for their own incompetence. We have everything documented with photos and videos. No one should have to live like this. Future residents, be warned.
