If you live local in Miami, and don't use these guys, you're crazy! My lease was up and I was due to move in a couple months. As usual, I called around and searched for the best movers. Prices were ridiculous, even for the well-known local companies. I was quoted $259/hr, plus an additional charge for gas mileage used, plus etc etc etc. This was the same for every company I called, though the price per hour changed. I was even quoted $2000! Wth?! I explained in detail to each company that I was moving within 10 miles. I had a 1/1, with only a sectional, coffee table, small entertainment center, 62 in TV, large dresser with mirror and Queen mattress with box spring, and of course my boxes of clothes and dishware which was already packed in 9 boxes. These people were crazy if they thought I was going to pay $500/hr and up for my stuff. I even told them my dog and his crate were coming with me. Needless to say, the moving process was an added stress I didn't need. Off my rant, I just happened to come upon Royal Movers. And like all the other companies I contacted them via their online form, and someone contacted me. I received a call from Aisa who told me she couldn't quote me, and this is where I got suspicious, until he came to my place to evaluate. Still unsure and nervous, I agreed. Well, Kael, the owner, came and looked at the place. After about 15-30 or so, he looked at me and said, "this is an easy job. No hidden fees. No games. Let me tell you how much." I was quoted $145/hr, with an hour added for gas traveled. That was it. I can't tell you how long my mouth stayed open or how long I was staring at the man waiting for a catch. He looked at me and said that was it. I didn't believe and kept trying to pull information from him, hoping he would slip up with extra hidden fees, but he stayed true to his word. I hesitantly set my date and left it at that. Well, a couple weeks later plans changed and I had to cancel. Easy. I called them and told them I didkt need their services anymore. I wasn't charged for the evaluation or anything. Fast forward a month later and plans changed again. This time I was completely ass out. I had to move out my apartment one weekend, and had no one booked. I was now scrambling at the last minute, and we all know how that can be. I went through the process of searching various companies again with no luck. I happen to fall back on Royal Movers. Aisa was SUPER at booking me, even last minute! She called to confirm the day before. Kael and his crew came out, and hauled my stuff and even set it up at my new place. They started at 0915 ish and didn't end til about 11ish I think? I literally paid $375 for everything. No BS! I gave the men their tips and thanked them. This company is my Miami mover's secret. I'm so happy I was able to find them. Oh, and the added bonus? I used Royal Movers twice, and each time it was a great experience. I chose them because the owner, Kael, served in the US Navy aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Eisenhower. I figured, that with his military service, he would be an honorable person, and that hunch was right. They took great care of my items, while moving quickly and efficiently. There were no hidden fees whatsoever - the owner delivered exactly what he said he would. One thing worth noting, as I gathered up items to throw out, Kael said ¨I´m not going to let you throw that away¨-- in response to a large image of the Bolivian highlands.
