PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BOOK AN EVENT
After just completing my Nikkah (marriage ceremony) on Thursday (21st Feb19), I am compelled to write this review to share my absolute disgust with the way in which Nawaabs managed one of the most important days of my life.
When I had my first meeting to discuss the event, I was greeted so well and they installed confidence in me that I was making the right choice. Everything I requested for, was met with the simple response 'yes it can be done don't worry'. The exact words every person wants to hear.
Although our requests were not big, I had one very small ask, which was for them to provide hot water for our guests. On the night of the event, when the party was in full swing wewe ask the floor manager to provide us with hot water. They told us 'we do not have any hot water or even a kettle to boil water' and suggested that they can 'microwave water' for us. Coming for a restaurant that has 5 star health and safety raitings, that suggestion was apoling. Having to think for my supposed floor manager I then suggested that they boil water on a stove, in the end our guest were not provided with any hot water.
Furthermore on the topic of water, we had a very young children that started choking, one of our guests went to the staff and asked for water the repeatedly refused the request when they could physically see a young child in discomfort choking and gasping for air. We had to run out the venue and collect bottles of water, thankfully the young is OK. No thanks to Nawaabs.
Moving away from requests and going on to the 'promises' Nawaabs made. They promised we would have security on our door. We witnessed over 30 uninvited members of public gate crash our event eat our food, drink our tea and leave.
Also I myself the groom, from the stage witnessed there own staff members eating our guests food from the dessert table. Even are supposed security guard came in the the venue as I was saying bye to my guests and right infront of me helped himself to our tea and coffee.
Nawaabs also promised that they would cut our wedding cake and distribute it guests when the desserts were served. We asked the floor manager 5 times to cut the cake and serve it, the requests were ignored and we went home with a full wedding cake!
I went to Nawaabs yesterday to explain everything that had happened, it took nearly 30 mins for me to get an apology. I was told it would be looked into and I will be taken care of when I book another event. Nawaabs got my hard earned money, the money that alot of people break there backs to save to try to put on the best even for there family and friends. Nawaabs completely ruined our day, didn't want to even acknowledge there lack of care and provided an apology that was not sincere and completely false.
I now feel it is my duty to warn anyone thinking about booking this event, please leave from my experience. They promise you everything before you pay, sell you a dream as soon as they have your money. You treated like you don't even exist, your wedding doesn't even matter and your just another payday.
I beg everyone that has booked to reconsider, go elsewhere there are plenty of venues out there that are much better, pricing is good and food quality amazing.
Finally to Mr Nawaab, I will be taking this further than a complaint, your words don't mean anything and your actions show where your priorities lay. I am going to make it my absolute priority to make sure you never let this happen again to any other couple! read more
