Daughter and I came in for a dinner on a busy night in SoHo. Got seated ahead of our reservation. With the server's tablet, our drinks were at the table before she finished taking our order. Padadums and chutneys were fresh and tasty, and the shrimp meal my daughter had was terrific. I really enjoyed my tandoori chicken too. It's a nice environment and enough space between tables that you're not hearing everyone's conversations. Great value too. Perfect evening! Would come back again.

Absolutely stunning interior with golden mosaic ceiling! Thali and chicken wings very good! As was the mango lassi. Very nice wait staff. Soft music playing...

One of the best Indian spots in London - flavors are bold, it's punchy, and oh-so-spicy (in a fantastic way). The vibe is cool and casual, and the value is spot-on. Highly recommend Chicken Biryani, Butter Chicken (similar to Chicken Tikka Masala), Garlic Naan. Fun fact: Masala Zone Soho was one of the first places in central London to bring authentic Indian street food and thali-style meals to a casual dining setting - it opened back in 2001, pioneering this trend before it became everywhere.

This was the last restaurant we dined at before returning back to the US, and I was not disappointed. I had tried Dishoom earlier on in my trip, and wanted something similar again. Came across this place, which had more tables open and less of a wait, and was impressed with their menu. It was overwhelming, but we were happy with the Chicken 65 and Dahi Puri that we ordered for appetizers. There were also a bunch of specialty drinks that looked great and I had a non alcoholic ginger fizz type of drink that was tasty. I would recommend this place to others coming to this area.

Excellent choice for Indian in SoHo. Gracious and attentive service. Accomodating to food sensitivities. Delicious flavors. Yes to Butter Chicken and Lamb Biryani. Good strong drinks (negroni and martinis). Nice atmosphere.

Ambience and location can't be beat! Portions are small but flavorful. Drinks were also made well. The only tacky thing is the dining time limit...they will literally try to kick you out as soon as you even approach the limit. It's hard when it's a big party, or you're looking to order 3 courses, drinks, wine bottle and eat!! Food did come out quick, but sometimes, understandably, if you can't find your waiter, you can't obviously order more and then next thing you know, they want you out! Same thing happened at the other popular Indian restaurant (D******), so be forewarned.

It rarely happens that we end up in an Indian restaurant without planning for it and this time was one of those and are we glad that it happened. We visited Piccadilly Circus to catch some live shows and stumbled upon Masala Zone. Decided to give it a try on a whim, and it was a delightful experience. The cuisine is packed with flavor, the atmosphere is inviting, and the customer service is top-notch. We only ordered appetizers due to existing dinner reservations elsewhere, but the pav bhaji, wada pav, and chicken 65 were all mouth-wateringly good. Wholeheartedly endorsed.

My only goal on my short trip to London was to devour as much Indian food as I could! I tried Masala Zone, which is located in the prime and lively spot of Piccadilly Square. I had the Masala Dosa for breakfast, and it was great. It was served with three chutneys: coconut, tomato, and peanut. Everything tasted really good and had a very authentic flavor. The server mentioned that they recently started offering a breakfast menu, as they are mainly known for lunch and dinner! The ambiance is quite royal, and they have ample seating space.

We were craving Indian food on our London travel and found Masala Zone after over one hour wait at Dishoom. Walked in on a Friday night around 8pm with party of two and were seated immediately. Excellent service. Big restaurant that feels way less stuffy than Dishoom. Food was amazing. We ordered the lamb biryani and the butter chicken Thali. The vegetable samosa was also amazing served with a mint chutney and sweet sauce. I'm getting hungry just writing this review. Skip the crazy wait at Dishoom and go here.

The food was phenomenal. We ordered several different appetizers and I order the lamb thali plate. My favorite appetizers were the fried shrimp and the chicken. Overall, 10/10 and would come back again.

Fun dinner! Big and boisterous place. Excellent service. Big menu. We got several thali to share. Everything was very flavorful. The dal was a standout and the fried onion appetizer was superb. Great place to spend an evening g and dine with friends. Didn't feel rushed, enjoyed our dinner and hang.

Went here on our vacay to London. The food and service were great. I like really spicy food so I asked for some additional peppers. The food had good flavor and a perfect spice level for those that prefer a medium spice level. I will definitely go there again next time I am in London

We started with some yummy cocktails and the okra fries which were delicious - if only okra always tasted this good. For mains, we shared the chicken tikka, black daal, paneer and garlic naan. Pretty standard Indian order. The chicken tikka was just too spicy and we weren't used to that so it went mainly eaten. My favorite was the black daal but again, it wasn't so amazing that I would go and have it again. Honestly the best dish we had was dessert - the basmati kheer is a perfect rice pudding with crème brûlée like topping. So good. Service was spotty, I constantly found myself trying to find our server or make eye contact with him. They were slammed on a Tuesday night (which I'm sure is the case every night) so that's probably just the way things are but it could've been better. Disappointed but willing to try again, also made me want to try some other Indian spots in London next.

Found this restaurant on Yelp after seeing such great reviews and I wasn't disappointed! At first, I was nervous my friend and I wouldn't get a table due to how busy the restaurant was but since we were only two people, we had no issue getting a table. Seating is tight! You are almost arm to arm with the individuals sitting around you which I actually found to be a great experience. My friend and I ended up striking conversation with the people next to us which led to a fun dining experience. Service was quick! We ordered food and it came out quickly and all waiters were super attentive. In terms of food, everything was absolutely delicious and portion sizes were huge! First we ordered the lamb chops and the samosas which were absolutely amazing. We then ordered the chicken and lamb dishes with the naan which completely filled us. I can't wait to come back and I will absolutely be dreaming about this restaurant until I come back!
