Summary: local barber shop, and very busy on Saturday's. My Barber took her time, and did a good job. I asked for the only female barber in the place. She was polite, and took her time. I was happy with the haircut. It was $16, but I left her a good tip because it took a while and I thought she deserved to make money for the work she did. The only downside was the wait. Came to BC a couple months ago for my brother's engagement and really needed a haircut. My normal barber at home was too busy so I just kinda winged it. Came here for Mark and he did a phenomenal job with my hair. Laid back dude who knows what he's doing. I didn't specify what I wanted just showed what kind of hairstyles I liked and he did the rest and I was really pleased with his work. Everyone working there seems to have a positive attitude and like joking around. I think the atmosphere is pretty chill. Can't justify spending $500 on a plane ticket just to get my haircut again from here, but if you're in the area, you can't go wrong with stopping in here. Hubs comes out looking sharp, and doesn't feel the need to make small talk with the team (a big plus for him). Long lines on weekends but they haul ass. We were paying $65+ tax/tip for a cut and beard trim at Barber+co. Now it's half that. And he doesn't hate going. Looks better too. read more

The guy took artistic licence on my head. Haven't had a chance to get a cut in a while so I guess he just saw a blank canvas and thought "I must paint!" I wanted a classic looking off centre part and got a modern looking full part. I don't really mind change but I gotta be prepared and on board with it. It doesn't look bad by any means but I work in health care and I'm not to fond of showing up with a cut like this. Figured I'd sit and mull over it, see how it looks after a shower but he shaved up the one side pretty damn high and left the other side longer so there's not really any other way to style it. read more

Absolutely amazing! Came in off the street because of a sign that advertised well priced hot shaves. Steve took his time and was the most friendly, not like places downtown that charge you 50 bucks and rush you in and out. This is beyond the worst place I have ever been.... a blatant disregard for what I asked for...I clearly said take half an inch off and keep as much as the length as possible...my hair was long down to my nose. I asked for a trim and he cut nearly 3 inches off. It's now around my eyes. My entire hair is lopsided , Longer on the right than it is the left. and cut my sideburns up to near the top of my ear even after I told him not to touch them. I suppose it was kind of them not to charge me, but now I'm left having to go elsewhere and pay to get it fixed because they were incompetent. I feel it was done on purpose...how can you run a business like this, messing up people's hair and giving them free of charge...it's rather odd to say the least. read more

Yes I agree they do a fantastic job, but I can't say my son had a good experience. One barber in particular was shaving my sons hair. He was trying to perfect the cut, but without knowing the shaver digged into my sons skin. My son did acknowledge us he was in pain and tried to dodge the shaver from continuing to shave his wound. Nothing major that sent him to the hospital, but what shocked me was the barber said, "what? Oh that's nothing", and proceeded to keep cutting after he put an ointment and baby powder on it. Having skills is one thing, but not being able to see eye to eye is not my kind of barber. read more

If I could rate 0 star I would. Stopped by here for the first time and was so hyped after seeing all the good reviews. I thought that I would walk out with the haircut I want, but ended up getting something completely opposite of what I wanted. Dude that cut my hair made me look like storm from the X-Men after I told him not to cut too in. Needless to say I was disappointed. Now I'm stuck wearing a fucking hat for at least two months to try to regrow the damage he did. One of them even said "nice fade bro", like it was supposed to be a compliment lol! These guys have no fucking idea what a fade even is. I bet the pictures uploaded in their Yelp page are not even theirs, but belongs to the previous owner. If this review doesn't show up in their page, let's just say I wouldn't be surprised. And one more thing, please upload real pictures of your own work, not just taking shit from the Internet and claiming it's your work. At the end of the day, you're not only fucking up your customers, but you're also lying to yourselves. These guys actually need to watch videos on how to give proper haircuts, because a blind person could have done a better job. Thanks for nothing. Not a fucking chance I'm coming back here. read more
