Two of the prongs were visibly shifted and the band had a deep scratch that had no been there before. This was obviously upsetting to even need to bring up, but my fiance did so very respectfully and graciously and we were met with hostility and defensiveness from Jean herself. I was appalled at the rudeness in The tone of her voice. My fiance and I have never had to get a ring resized before, we are new to this. Jean went on a rant to us about how she's been doing this "for forty years" and I just stood there wondering how she's gotten away with such awful customer service for that long. Jean did agree to take the ring back and fix the prongs and buff the band, although she denied that they were the ones that messed them up. After this encounter I learned that my fiancé and I are not the only ones who have had this kind of experience at Jeans Jewelers. TWO other couples I know have had similar experiences. One of them simply asked a worker at Jeans if they could copy down their diamond number for security reasons, and Jean rudely intervened and told them that if they thought their diamond was going to get stolen then they shouldn't hand it over. Good way to comfort Your clients! And my other friends had a bracelet resized and when it came back wrong and they brought it back, Jean was not happy to satisfy their needs. Look, I get that she has Been in the business for a long time, but that is no excuse for being hostile toward your customers. I will never recommend Jeans Jewelers to anyone. And I highly suggest you steer clear if you want a pain free process for your jewelry needs!

Horrible experience! All I needed was simple ring sizing....it was not ready by the date…read morepromised, and no one called to notify me that it wasn't ready. One pointless trip made to the store. When it was finally "ready," the settings were a yellowish color, the colored diamonds were a distinctly different color, and three diamonds were missing! No way am I accepting that kind of service. The jeweler did "polish" away the yellow and replaced the missing stones (which of course had to special ordered). Three weeks later it was "ready" again, and I was told the store would be open 9:30-5 the following day. I arrived a little after 4:00 only to discover they had closed early for a memorial service (um, I'm sure this friend didn't die the night before, so why didn't they tell me they would be closing early when they called me?). Two pointless trips made to the store. Next day I called to make sure they would be open, and went to pick up my ring. Diamonds are obviously a different color than when I first brought in the ring. Sales clerk cannot help me, and I have to make an appointment to meet with the jeweler. Three pointless trips made to the store. I meet with the jeweler, express my concerns, show him a picture of the original, and ask for him to replace what he has damaged. He tells me that it was impossible to change the color of the diamonds, refuses to compensate me for the ring, and would not let me take back MY OWN property unless I signed off on his "acceptable" services. Four pointless trips made to the store. And I still do not have my ring back. I filed a complaint the the BBB, and am still waiting for this to be resolved. The bottom line is that the jeweler damaged my colored diamonds when he sized my ring because he DID NOT take any of necessary precautions for protecting these stones from the heat of his torch. To make matters worse, when I questioned his services was a complete ass hole! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS STORE TO ANYONE, AND I WILL NEVER GO BACK.
