Larry took about 20 minutes just making sure everything was perfect before my piercing. I appreciate his dedication! He also was very honest when I asked for an additional piercing. They are now REFUSING to give back his $500. (700-$150 my tattoo and $50 for his deposit/sketch) We are being RIPPED OFF for $500. And will be taking them to small claims court. It's super spacious, bright, and thoughtfully laid out. They have an art gallery area, a section dedicated to displaying skulls, and even a break room space for everyone. I also loved how easy their website made the booking process. Being able to see each artist's work, pricing, and availability all in one place made it really convenient to plan and schedule time off. I was looking to finish my half sleeve and came across Christian Gonzalez's work on their site. I was immediately impressed and knew I had to book with him. I texted the number listed on the website and connected with Mackenzie, who was incredibly responsive, friendly, and quick to answer all my questions. She made the process really smooth, and I was able to secure an appointment about two weeks out! When I arrived, the whole staff was welcoming and friendly. Christian was professional, easy to talk to, and really took the time to understand my inspiration. He worked with me to design something that would flow well with a previous tattoo I already had, doing his best to blend everything together so it looked cohesive. He made sure I liked the design, adjusted details with me, and carefully worked on placement before we started. I got there right when they opened, and after discussing the design and him drawing everything out, we started around noon and wrapped up around 6pm. It's definitely a full day session, so bring snacks and maybe a zip up because it gets a little cold in there! Christian was incredibly gentle with the tattoo and constantly checked in to make sure I was comfortable or needed a break. He charges $1300 for a full day and in my opinion he is absolutely worth it!! I felt comfortable the entire time and I'm in love with how the tattoo turned out. I'll definitely be coming back to finish my sleeve and for any future work. If you're thinking about getting tattooed at The Skull Museum, JUST DO IT! and definitely check out Christian! I have always wanted tattoos but it seemed to never happen. Until this year around my birthday I decided to finally get one done. I was researching were I should go when I heard about Jaime VI, (the owner at Royal Six Tattoo) right here in my own town and man was I glad I did. I walked in, gave him a basic idea of a tattoo that would represent my children, something angel related as kind of a protector. The day of the appointment I sat down not knowing what to expect but still wanting Jaime to use his judgment...here is my tattoo a week later. (see Pictures) It was another great idea of Jaime's to use a picture of my wife for the face of the angel...who better than their mother to protect them? I can't recommend Jaime enough he and all his staff are great to be around and very TALENTED! Royal Six will be doing all of my work.....To be continued. read more

I've been tattooed at other great tattoo shops in L.A. Big name shops...but the experience of getting tattooed by a true and profesional artist, is the best experience there is... Jaime did really great work on me, I just have to give him an idea of what I want, and wow you can see this guys brain at work, of all the times I've gone to get work done by him, he has always got it right. The atmosphere at the shop is great. A great and helpful stuff, and all the art on the walls is just awesome, I can't wait to go there again, I actually have found my shop. Ive been to a lot of Tattoo parlors in my time, and most of which are located out of Placerville. I used to think that there were no good tattoo shops left in this town. Then I discovered Royal 6 Tattoo. I gotta say this changed my thinking. No longer do you have to go to Sacramento or further to get a great tattoo. Very professional, very clean and very friendly. Jaime VI is an amazing artist and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a tattoo. If its your first tattoo, a touch up, a cover up or just another addition, Royal 6 is a great place to visit.
