Which is so silly because making the appointment is so easy through their website. I've now had 5 total piercings at DV8 over the course of the last year and a half on my ear curation journey. All are healing well and I'm very happy with the placements.  Keep in mind the jewelry is not included in the piercing fee, and it can add up quick if you're a gold lover. But if you're getting subsequent piercings, they allow you to bring in any previous jewelry that you've already purchased from them to use for future piercings. Just keep in mind that your appointment may take a little longer because they will need to sanitize the jewelry. I'm most impressed with the detailed aftercare instructions. I was horrified by the lack of instructions my sister received after being pierced at a VERY POPULAR piercing place in Berkely on Telegraph Ave (you know the place). She came with me to one of my appointments at DV8 and said, wow, they didn't tell me ANY of that stuff at the other place. And I was like, I KNOW - that's why I only come to DV8. They are also certified by the Association of Professional Piercers, so I feel confident that everything they do is safe and sanitary.

This turned out to be $25 per ear, which does NOT include the price of jewelry. I picked some of the simplest studs they offered, and those plus the backing came out to an additional $86. We were told they would not use outside jewelry- which is fine, but with prices like these? Ouch!! Overall quality was acceptable, but $136 before tax and tip is much too high for a basic piercing.

Two of my friends and I came in for a total of 6 piercings I…read moregot two snake bites My friend got an eyebrow piercing And the other got two angel bites and a vertical labret Since having my piercings done, I removed them the next day because I hated them so much Both of them were directly in the middle of my lip pretty much perfectly lined up with my two front teeth. That's how close together they were. And they were uneven one was placed directly on my lip line and one was below, so the jewelry didn't set evenly The friend who got the two angel bites and the Labret One of the angel bites was uneven as well and the vertical Labree was placed so high you can't see it when her lips are closed I understand that I could have changed the placement of the dots But in all honesty, I trusted the professional to place them I wasted my money and now I have to get them redone I wasn't planning on saying anything until I realized that I never received my ID back from them So I called and sure enough they had mine and my friends ID I would understand and take responsibility. Had it just been mine and maybe I forgot. But two ? That means they neglected to return them to us. And made no effort to contact us to return them I'm very upset with my experience

When he is working he can get so into the creation he may go quiet for a bit but don't take that as he is not listening or doesn't care he is just in the moment concentrating on the work and it shows when project is finished. He was able to recreate the design I had made perfectly. The colors used were almost perfect. The place was very chill and I lost track of time watching him work. Great job Jacob. This was my second time coming to The Skull Museum. The first time was at their old location and…read moreI'm honestly blown away by how beautiful the new space is. It's super spacious, bright, and thoughtfully laid out. They have an art gallery area, a section dedicated to displaying skulls, and even a break room space for everyone. I also loved how easy their website made the booking process. Being able to see each artist's work, pricing, and availability all in one place made it really convenient to plan and schedule time off. I was looking to finish my half sleeve and came across Christian Gonzalez's work on their site. I was immediately impressed and knew I had to book with him. I texted the number listed on the website and connected with Mackenzie, who was incredibly responsive, friendly, and quick to answer all my questions. She made the process really smooth, and I was able to secure an appointment about two weeks out! When I arrived, the whole staff was welcoming and friendly. Christian was professional, easy to talk to, and really took the time to understand my inspiration. He worked with me to design something that would flow well with a previous tattoo I already had, doing his best to blend everything together so it looked cohesive. He made sure I liked the design, adjusted details with me, and carefully worked on placement before we started. I got there right when they opened, and after discussing the design and him drawing everything out, we started around noon and wrapped up around 6pm. It's definitely a full day session, so bring snacks and maybe a zip up because it gets a little cold in there! Christian was incredibly gentle with the tattoo and constantly checked in to make sure I was comfortable or needed a break. He charges $1300 for a full day and in my opinion he is absolutely worth it!! I felt comfortable the entire time and I'm in love with how the tattoo turned out. I'll definitely be coming back to finish my sleeve and for any future work. If you're thinking about getting tattooed at The Skull Museum, JUST DO IT! and definitely check out Christian!
