My son got braces here - The entire staff was super duper friendly and always - you guessed it - smiling! Kids will have no fear here! The staff explain everything in detail and are gentle inside the mouth (according to my son!). There are no isolated rooms - Kids are all in one big room under light and relaxed with some Dr. B sunglasses which they get to keep! I didnt see a nervous or unhappy person in the whole building. I have 2 other children whom I definitely plan without a doubt to take here... And to top it all off - They my son a cool picture in the mail about a week after he got his braces! Everything started out fine. I went in for a first-time appointment/evaluation. The doctor(s) were…read morepleasant and informative. I was feeling positive about them being able to help. Then the problems began. As I was leaving they promised me they would call me with information that I needed to run the treatment scenario by my insurance. On my way out I also requested that they email me so I would know for sure the proper email to use. I received no such email but I did then proactively email them information that they had requested to their business email. A few weeks went by; no phone call; no email; no communication whatsoever from them. Then, a few months later, I called. The person on the phone didn't acknowledge that I had sent the information I requested. They stated that no such information from me had been received. They also didn't acknowledge their promise to me to provide me the codes so that I could exercise my due diligence and run everything by my insurance. The pleasant (I am being ironic, she was rude) woman I spoke with told me that they were still waiting for information from me. I then informed the pleasant woman that I had the information they needed and requested - again - for them/her to email me so that I could respond with the information they said they needed. (Remember, my prior email was ignored - or never received maybe?) The woman I was speaking to laughed at me derisively for requesting that she be bothered (not an exaggeration, it was a literal "guffaw") with proactively emailing a potential customer. I didn't respond to her disrespectful tone or haughty, derisive laugh and pleasantly requested again that she email me first. She said, essentially, "sure, whatever." (Paraphrasing.) I did not react to the provocations of the receptionist/admin since I did really like the doctors. Of course you know the end of the story. The boss - pardon me, I mean the admin - did not email me. Maybe she's an undercover billionaire boss who runs the practice for fun and not profit; and she doesn't do things for lowly customers. Who knows, regardless, that's what happened. I wasted almost $200 out of pocket (my co-pay), drove quite a ways from my home, and had the pleasure of being disrespected multiple times. I am glad, however, that the admin felt powerful and got joy by being an mischievous gatekeeper. Low quality people enjoy abusing their power. Bottom line, if you can get past reception without losing your cool and get to the doctors (who are actually very pleasant and professional) you might consider this place. But if you are not a masochist then maybe consider a place where the staff CAN be bothered to be nice, professional, and considerate.

After, he turned to the kid in the chair next to me, who was also a classmate of mine at the time, and said, "can you believe what a little baby she's being? I bet you'll behave like a big boy." Just sick and creepy. My parents confronted him and he yelled at them that I was "being a baby and nothing hurt so it wasn't appropriate for me to cry". Thankfully my mom insisted on being in the room for future appointments and we eventually left because he couldn't control his vitriol. If you hate kids, you can choose not to treat them? This guy loves money too much to take that option, I guess. My siblings and I all have had to get corrective surgery due to his poor treatments, and he once tried to bully my parents into putting my sister in braces for 2+ years (and thousands of dollars) to fix a slightly misaligned tooth in the back of her mouth, which could neither be seen, nor had any negative impact on her, otherwise. I had buried this trauma, until I saw he sponsored a little league team in my new town, having moved an hour away from his original office, I was shocked that he still has a license, let alone has been able to expand. Truly terrifying. He should not be around children.

The permanent retainer hurts my tongue and there suggestion of wearing my "night guard" during the day is ridiculous. As well, a new tooth has begun to shift back to its original place as the night guard does nothing to protect it. A third tooth has now shifted and is causing a dental issue that needs to be addressed. Pachter took a good chunk of money from me, promised results when the results weren't delivered pushed it on me for not doing things correctly and then on the program not being able to predict patterns and having to be adjusted to just not helping at all because I signed that I accepted treatment was over. Be very aware of stubborn teeth, future results and discrepancies in the treatment plan and do not be guilted into having them recreate trays or replace attachments that they prematurely take off. Had Pachter not attempted to avoid losing money because the computer didn't predict the way my teeth would move, perhaps my smile would not be reverted back to the place it was when I first saw them. Had they took the time to re-assess as well as not cared what it would cost them to fix the issue after I paid for their service, I may have turned out like the other success stories. Be aware as your teeth can place you into the same position I am in. For your sake I hope not, but if you are considering using them - find a different practitioner as they are not about the end result and success of all patients.
