DO NOT USE this company! We ordered a pool kit in July and paid for it. In August we were told it was on a pallet ready to ship. We paid for the pool to be dug out. It never came. Last week it partially arrives....after being told it was all coming. It is November and we still are missing ONE panel. We were told a different story almost every single phone call other than the pool was coming in one shipment and it was the entire pool. We are now 6 shipments in and still missing 2 pieces. I emailed the VP and he never even responded. After mutilple calls a manager got involved yesterday and said he would find a panel to ship next day. He never called back and followed up by lunch like he said he would and when I called I was told that it has to be made. We have no idea when this will arrive but lets talk about the fact we have an entire crew, gravel, concrete trucks, permits codes etc all lined up and are waiting on this one panel. read more

Do yourself a favor and look literally anywhere else to purchase your pool. We ordered a pool in mid-May and at the time the website stated a 5-7 day turn around time on the pool we ordered. I went with this company because my first 5 or 6 choices of other companies had their pools listed as out of stock. Our 5-7 day turn around time suddenly went to 4 weeks without any notification from this company. Understanding that we were in the middle of a pandemic, we didn't say anything, even though we had already had the site prepared to the tune of $900 (based on the lead time given to us by Royal Pools) and it was already ruined due to rain in the area. So $900 out already by this point. Our shipping date comes with no email notification so we log in and see the shipping date has been pushed out another 2 weeks so I call. The gentleman on the phone blamed it on the manufacturer, which makes no sense since I had purchased a pool listed as in stock, but assured me the new shipping date would hold as they were caught up. Great! We buy they wood to start building the deck based on this info. $500. New shipping date comes and low and behold, no shipment. I have a liner, ladder, and a light sitting in my living room doing no good and decking wood warping because the rest can not be completed until we have the pool in. Call again. Am told another 2 weeks, which at this point is just their standard answer and they really have no idea. And the man proceeds to tell my husband to stop complaining. Excuse me? $1400 lost directly due to a companies misinformation is not complaining. When asked if the pump and everything would be coming with the next shipment the response was....I think so. So chances are good we will end up with more parts we can;t use yet. Best part is, I know several people that ordered out of stock pools from the companies I originally was shopping, after me...in June.... and they are already swimming. That tells me this is a vendor problem, not a manufacturer problem as Royal keeps trying to blame. He did offer us a free gift for our troubles but I have a hard time seeing a leaf skimmer or something of the like making up for the lost time and expense we have endured due to choosing this company. read more

In the middle of a horrible experience with this company. Start with the good, the price, it was the best I found. The bad. I ordered and hadn't heard anything for several days. I had to bug them, I was eventually sent a tracking number. Tracking showed it was to be delivered on the 9th. The 11th came, nothing, I called them, bugged them some more. I paid extra so the truck would have a lift gate for easy unloading. It didn't. If I hadn't had access to a front end loader, I wouldn't have been able to accept the delivery. They agreed to refund the lift gate fee. Yesterday, I realized that they sent the wrong size liner. That was two days ago, I am still waiting for the new one to ship. This will end up delaying me an entire week or more on getting this pool installed. The company doesn't care, you are just another order to them. the silicia sand is what I have to have for my pool. So it was just what I needed but when it arrived there was several bags that had holes in them and lost a little of it in the delivery truck and my vehicle. Other than delivery I like ordering from royal swimming pool. Only thing is that the Pool I also ordered was suppose to be under a warrant for 20 yrs just like it was suppose to be neither was the liner. But then they come up with this big thing that I have to pay so much on any of it and each yr is even more of the percent. read more

CONSUMER BEWARE!!! The president Scott Ledford has taken $6100 from my credit card and says he has no obligation to find missing parts to our order that never arrived. They picked the freight company R & L and want to pass blame on them but want me to chase them around. It is now 2 awful months of dealing with Royal Swimming Pool Covers. They have my money and I have no pool cover or recourse. Latham Pool Products manufactured cover and sent to distributors SCP/Memphis and of course everyone circles back to Royal Swimming Pools. I have taken my story to KGO ABC 7 On Your Side, a consumer show in the San Francisco Bay Area. On 5/21/2016 I ordered a pool cover from Royal Swimming Pools. Their website said it would take 7 days they later said it was incorrect info on their site. On 5/25/16 my credit card was charged $6100 . I had not received any delivery date but they took the money. I had to chase them around for a full month to get my order. On 6/22/16 I only received part of the order of the pool cover-- immediately we called Royal Swimming Pool Covers and followed instructions given by Debbie to call R & L Freight company. The manager Dave did a terminal check and did not find them. He said items never arrived and we should call SPC Distributors (They distribute the order from RSPC). Again I immediately called SPC and spoke with Mr. O'kelly who assured me this would be taken care of. He then contacted the Olive Branch Manager who tried unsuccessfully to find missing items and called to let me know that he could no longer help me and actually should not even be in contact with me since Royal Swimming Pool Covers was the buyers of pool cover. Feeling very frustrated I relayed all this information to Debbie at RSPC and still no parts have been found to this order and no one wants to take responsibility. I spoke with the president of the company Scott Ledford and he took no responsibility. Would not even consider looking into this order. Given all that has transpired, I want to cancel my order, and send the merchandise back. After two months of inconvenience and escalation with this order all I want is to receive a full refund with no re-stocking fee or shipping fee charge. BBB has had 17 similar complaints. I now found these reviews and decided to write my story in hopes that no one else has to deal with this company. read more

If I could give this company minus stars I would. I read a lot of bad reviews of this company and I stupidly bought their product despite the warning signs. The issue I ran into is complicated, but essentially they promised the safety of their above ground pool kit, and when I needed to get engineered drawings of the pool (by their own engineer no less) he said he couldn't engineer the cardinal steel braces making this pool an in ground install only. When I talked to Royal about this, they didn't know the cardinal steel braces were not engineered. So essentially they've been selling this pool as safe for above ground not knowing for sure if the pools were safe. They said they've never had any issues from customers. Long story short they are unwilling to budge or take their product back. We are stuck with a pool which can't be installed above ground, our city wouldn't allow it. If you live in an area where permits aren't required or you're unconcerned about a large body of water leaking and potentially ruining properties, you're probably safe to buy their pools. read more

We received our pool kit shipment in just over a weeks time. The product is great! After diving into the many boxes, we found two damaged items, which were quickly replaced and shipped UPS to us. The only problem we had is the shipping carrier was changed to a different company and we weren't notified. But I checked in with Royal Pools and they provided the correct tracking info. After 10 days, 2 phone calls and numerous emails regarding reordering a new liner that I ordered in 2007, I finally got someone to tell me that I'd have to re-measure my pool because they couldn't find the original paper copy, even after I sent them the original invoice that they sent to me in 2007! Apparently they didn't here of a new thing called a 'computer' or 'database' back then. Not a real helpful or friendly bunch either. Well they were when they took my $ in 2007, just not after. Didn't stand by the product and didn't at all, not even for minute, attempt to work with me at all to make it right. Way better options available than this company. It's day 22 we will finally have the pool kit!!! Due to lack of communication we took the week off work to install the pool which was impossible due to not having the pool!!! And this was from being shipped MI to Ohio... approx 2/3 hrs away. I feel very sorry for those who live far away. If you order a custom pool the timeframe advertised on the website is not accurate. We also took a half day off work for the "delivery" which they recommend 4 people for and had my father in law and 2 neighbors arrange their lunch break to help and the big deliver.... which ended up being just the liner. Again poor communication. If we had been told there were 4 shipments and 3 were single items we would have asked when we confirmed the delivery to know which one required the help. The big delivery with all of the parts to begin construction came over a week after receiving the first shipment. We are hoping to be happy with the product just very frusturated that we took a week off work which couldn't be changed and weren't able to start the pool. We had the hole dug and then it rained for 4 days and now we also have that added expense to have the escavator come back out and straighten up the sides. Of course last week when everything should have been here and we were off work there was not one day of rain. read more

We bought our pool in the spring of 2013 and enjoyed it last summer. Over the winter the liner split at the seams and pushed the sides out and bent the posts. Needless to say our 2 kids were pretty bummed out but we told them surely we will get the pool company to make it right. For the last 2 months we have been trying to get restitution to no avail. I have sent pictures of the split liner and damaged pool sides with rusty bent posts. Took the pics with my iPhone and they said they needed clearer pictures!! LOL!!! Last night we got an email stating that the damage was our own fault because of winter ice and they will not warranty our pool that we have had for LESS THAN 1 YEAR. The "manager" Scott that i spoke with yesterday thinks it's fine to run a business where you don't stand behind your product. I own a tree service and when something isn't right with a customer we take care of things INSTANTLY. This Scott character wouldn't last 15 minutes in our outfit with this level of incompetence. I offered to Face Time with him to show all of the damage but i don't even think he knows what i was talking about!!!! I will be posting a vid to YouTube and reporting all of this to the BBB. The drains were severely damaged (pictures to prove it) and the company would not send new product or refund money. After many phone calls, dealing with rude customer service, I asked to speak with a manager... which wouldn't even get on the phone to speak with me. Finally, I was directed to send an email to a generic Royal Swimming Pool email address to the owner Scott Ledford. Scott did indeed respond and still would not offer to refund or return money. Full of excuses and incompetence. At the time of this review, I am out over $300 and have to go somewhere else and re-purchase product. I purchased a swimming pool from Royal Swimming Pools 9 years ago. The pool, had a 30 year warranty. It is now virtually useless, as is the customer service. I have complained on multiple occasions about rust problems as well as broken parts over the life span of my pool, (some within the first year of ownership) and I am always given the run around, directed to another company for warranty issues. If Royal Swimming Pools can not stand behind the products that they sell, then they should not be selling them. The most recent experience I have been told to contact the manufacturer of my pool and order each individual part in order to replace an entire pool. The warranty is prorated, so only a portion of the cost of individual parts is covered plus you get to pay for shipping. Using this method, am going to estimate that it will cost me approximately $10,000 to replace a pool that originally was valued at $3,100. Is it worth my time, effort or expense? I think NOT! I would give 0 stars if possible. I think my time could be used a lot more wisely by finding every outlet possible to warn others about purchasing from Royal Swimming Pools. read more

I ordered my in-ground pool and received most of the pieces. On the day of delivery, I counted every single part and was missing two wall panels. I called Royal Swimming Pools and let them know thinking that they would get on it ASAP, since my excavator was scheduled for the next day. It has been 5 days and the only answer that I have is "we are checking inventory at the warehouse. When we have counted inventory, we will let you know if we have the extra pieces you are missing." They also said, "if you signed the ticket from the delivery, then you said you received all the parts." This last statement is not what their paperwork says. It says you have 7 days to count the parts and make sure that you have them all. I have called everyday asking what the status is and they tell me the same thing. After reading everyone else's reviews, I have taken steps to try my best to circumvent Royal Swimming Pools and take care of this myself. I have contacted the product manufacturer. They are up-hauled that this company is treating it's customers this way. They are contacting Royal Swimming Pools to help me. I have also contacted the delivery company and found out where the pool was picked up from, SCP Distributors in Olive Branch, MS. I contacted them and they said they can't look for the missing pieces until Royal send them an email. So I have now contacted the main headquarters for SCP Distribution 985-892-5521. I am hoping to bring this companies incompetence to the fore front of the companies that they do business with so that this bad behavior can be stopped. All manufacturers that are selling their products to SCP and Royal Swimming pools needs to know that it looks bad for them. It makes their products look bad because most people will not take the time to know the difference between the manufacturer, distributor, and sales front. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! I am a customer, so if the owner says he doesn't have a customer by my name, then he is lying. This rating hurts to post, it really does. I got great service from william and Zach. they realy helped out with the research process. educating myself on how to build a pool was hard, and poor william answered every question i had, lol. learned so much, ordered my kit, dropped $20K and started receiving my kit. diving board came in first, damaged but oh well, stuff happens, started the replacement process. got bulk of order on next drop, missing a few small thing, totally understandable, no ones perfect, started my replacement process. got steps in, shipped a small poly section instead of steel like the rest of the kit. confusing how they made that mistake, but whatever, started the replacement process. from this point id give them a A-. but here it is 3 weeks later, pool schedule is frozen, still no replacement parts. Laci Carnes (whos based in florida) is the bottle neck from here on. once she touches it, the rating goes down the tubes. she drags her feet on supporting doc requests and slowwwwwwsssssss the whole process down. too bad, this would be a top shelf process if not for her efforts.Id still order from here if i did another pool, but id have to give myself two months easy for construction, with her involved. dont be in a hurry!!! read more

Overall lowest prices on above ground pools that I found. Filter setup is offered at quite a discount (HUGE discount) when ordering pool so I went ahead and got a new pump and filter even though my old one still worked fine. Upgraded to the 22" Pentair and really glad I did. Quieter, bigger, easier to use than old setup. Everything went pretty smoothly when ordering. They sent out emails several times the first couple of days to let you know how things were processing. Items delivered within time frame they said. Actually a little sooner than expected. Everything there, everything in one piece thankfully. Of course, they are just the middle man. They have stuff sent from the factory. My only complaint is you get 3 separate emails telling you how you need to make sure you get everything listed on shipping documents by checking the freight before signing off. However, that is technically not right since it is shrink wrapped and sent from the factory and anything missing would be on the companies shoulders, not the shipper. I would only check if there are actual signs of damage. The shipping label didn't even make sense, said we had more boxes than we did. Even the driver couldn't figure it out. In the end we called the actual factory and they verified we had everything. The way they counted boxes still makes no sense. So, in all I would definitely order from this company again but I would mostly ignore the emails that make you scared to just sign off on a shrink wrapped delivery. Of course, if the rest of your stuff like filter, maintenance set, anything else extra you ordered comes from another place in separate boxes I would definitely check shipping label for that. read more

You do have a Constance D-C. I bought this pool last year. Took me until this year to get my husband to put it up. The came on time and had all the parts called for. Ran into one bit of problem which ended up being a communication problem. Apparently, the company that makes the 21'x41' braceless pool changed a part to look different. What happened is the wind knocked a 4 legs over and tore the screws out (strong winds in Oklahoma), so I wanted to order another 4. No problem, all I had to do was fax a picture of the part (even though I had given them the part #. A couple of days later "the parts" show up. Unfortunately, its the wrong parts. It 4 strips of metal that hold the liner to the pool. Call again, explain wrong part. Have to fax picture again. Parts come quickly but again it looks nothing like the part I needed. Call again, same thing fax part. I fax part I need and part I got. Okay, several days later parts show up. Same part as I just got. I call the company again, after they researched a little they explain that these are how they are making the parts now. A couple of weeks have gone by this time and my husband has lost interest in this project. Well, after several months of miser from me complaining I want my $4,000 pool up he finally gets at it. This is NOT a DIY project unless you have done one before. We found the directions to be atrocious and almost useless. We went to other sites to figure things out. If the directions were a little clearer, were for JUST the pool you bought, and explained WHY, you were making a berm, which liner YOUR pool had and how to adjust the bottom and sides better I could give this a better rating. It has been like building a house, my husband and I have almost come to divorce over how to put this pool up. We are in the process of draining it one more time to get the liner straight. By the way my husband is very mechanically inclined, is a house builder, and can fix almost anything but this pool has beat him down. The company itself has been basically fine to work with but could use some communication work amongst themselves and their warehouses. MY RECOMMENDATION IS BUY THE POOL FROM ROYAL BUT DON'T DO IT YOURSELF. HIRE SOMEONE. Money well spent, especially on these big pools. read more

I bought a belize pool April 2015. In June 2016 The pool wall ripped due to rust. I sent pictures of the rip. At first Scott emailed me and told me my pool was 2 inches out of level causing this. Well my pool was on the ground so how did he come up with this? More than 3 weeks have passed. I have still been calling and emailing them. Now he says there was rust around the return that caused it to rip. I resent the pictures that clearly show no rust around the return. I have also spoke with Debbie several times and through email. This company will say anything to keep from warranting their products.Their website clearly states this pool should be under warranty and that it will not peel, rust, chip, or fade. 2 weeks prior to this 3 of my young grand kids were in my pool all day. If this had happened that day needless to say they would have most likely been killed from slamming into the deck on the side where it ripped. I told Scott this and he had no reply. They do not care. All they do is come up with a different excuse every time I speak with them. Too bad the least you can rate this company is 1 star. They actually get 0 stars from me.
