The chocolate cake with buttercream frosting was wonderful! We bought a slice: cake was dense and chocolaty, frosting sweet enough and light for a perfect treat. Espresso brownies were the "item of the day" per the owner's husband who waited on us. Ample in size and had nice crispy/ chewy edge which I love. It was frosted which made it a tad too sweet. And the bottom was crispy(?) and sturdy plastic fork provided wouldn't pierce through. GF peanut butter chocolate chip cookies were lovely. Smelled like you had an open jar of PB under your nose! Good chewy bites and larger chocolate chips balanced very well! Prices on point for quantity and quality of these freshly made baked goods. I'm not old but I think they are trying to pray on the elderly whose faculties may not work as well, so they won't catch the scam. I went here last month and there was a product that was 2 for $8.99 but not 4 for $17.98, according to the first customer service associate. The one next to them said that I would need to buy 6 to get the sale again and they seemed to have a disagreement on that statement. I just returned it, don't have time to figure out which associate is correct. Just today they have a cereal brand for $1.99, marked in the aisle but I paid $3.99. My friend had a semi-emergency and their checkout froze for a good 5 minutes, so I couldn't stop or go back yet. I checked the website, none of the cereal brand is listed for $1.99 Why is it marked differently in the aisle? Went a couple of months ago, got a product only to find out the "buy 1 get 1 free" was good once, not buy 2 get 2 free. Sure, whatever. It's not marked anywhere on the aisle or the website, but because it's marked in their sales flyer that way, I had to just return it without getting the deal. It is a sheisty store and I am sure it's no different than any other meijer. I won't be shopping here again.

Sometimes you just gotta find a place with a restroom when you're travelling and it's a bit awkward to go in a restaurant if you're not planning to eat there. So I started using the restrooms in Meijers and other similar stores where I THOUGHT I would be inconspicuous. Of course I couldn't resist looking around some after, as long as I was in here. It gave me a little break from driving and a chance to look for a couple of items I needed. I found some Scotch Guard type spray for my boots, a cosmetic item, and a 12- pack of Diet Vernor's for the road. Then off I went to explore Michigan!

The prices were reasonable and their set-up and break-down crews were punctual and efficient. The tent was absolutely beautiful and the tables, chairs and bar were sturdy. The bar wasn't much to look at, but was served its purpose very well. We used 2 40-light gold chandeliers (on dimmers, as they can get very bright) to light our 40' x 80' tent and they cast a gorgeous glow throughout the entire reception. The staff were wonderful at narrowing down the perfect floor plan for the tent, including a perfectly sized dance floor and plenty of space for natural movement within the tent. I do not recommend the catering company that they often work with (Faulkner's Catering), which I have reviewed separately. I went through the caterer for my linens, but in hindsight, I would go through Crown Party Rental for my linens as well as the tent and furniture. In short, I recommend this company highly and encourage anyone hosting an outdoor event to contact them for an estimate. Note: this company has since changed its name to Crown Party Rental and is now located at 3300 Lapeer Rd, Port Huron, MI 48060.

The cookies were soft and chewy and did I mention warm? I cannot get enough of these cookies. I also really like the layout and business model of Crumbl.
