Avoid Lisa at all cost. She is horrible and has really bad attitude. I have never encountered anyone like that. (I have been to more than 10 massage places in flushing, Lisa is absolutely horrible. I only wrote three bad reviews in lifetime, so you know how bad it is). My friend brought me here today because he had a good experience last time with his foot massage. I requested for a female foot massage therapist and I was told that no one was available. They found me a male therapist and he was actually quite good. 10 minutes after the massage has started, a guy that seems to be manager came by and asked if it's okay for them to provide me another therapist. He mentioned that someone specifically requested for my therapist. I tried to be understanding since pandemic has affected many businesses and agreed for them to make the switch. Magically they found a female therapist (Lisa) available. However, she didnt seem like she knows what she was doing at all. I asked her to put a little more pressure, then she stood up, said she can't do it with an attitude, and walked away. I was in shocked about what happened. Also FYI - if you are looking for a quiet place to get your massage, this is not the place. People talk loudly and don't care about their surrounding. Edit: changing from one star to two star. This is my first time ever leaving a review. First I want to start off by saying when we were brought back to the room, there were black mold on the wall. The massage overall was okay, I would give it a 6/10. My friend and I had a massages in the same room and they were having a conversation the WHOLE time, nonstop. Which is fine. But What really upset me when we were leaving them 22-23% tip each and then was pressured into giving 50% tip each. The total just for the massage was $40 for 60min. He said that he learned how to massage in China which is probably why when he was massaging my foot he told me why some parts hurt. First off my friend's masseuse and my masseuse kept on talking to me..I told them my Mandarin was not good as I can only speak basic stuff...but still insisted to talk to me. Secondly, my friend's masseuse kept on trying to UPSELL me by trying to communicate to me that I should try cupping and then later on trying to sell me to do gua sha. I had NO idea what she was saying until she took out her phone to use google translate to talk to me about cupping and how it's good for my health. I got a little annoyed because even my friend said her lady seemed to be massaging her while using her phone on the other hand. That is SO unprofessional. We are paying you to massage us not take your phone out so that you can translate and squeeze more money out of us. A bit later, she was talking about gua sha and demonstrated it on me and how it's healthy so I'm like uh okay?? Sure. Fast forward to when we finished and was going to pay she's like thank you your total per person is $58..I'm like what? We only asked for the 60 minute body massage. She's like the gua sha was an additional $20. I was so mad because she definitely took advantage of me not knowing any Chinese and when she did her whole upselling I did not hear her saying $20. So how I resolved this was I told her I'm going to call my mom to speak with her because my mom could speak mandarin and she said she did not mean to have this miscommunication with me. I honestly don't believe it because I was there. Overall the results of my massage was just 2/5 stars. I didn't leave feeling good and relieved, I felt the same. Also the gua sha treatment my mom said you're supposed to have red marks to show that it's working as I also googled it as well, but my back was clear. What a joke. This place is a total GEM! I come here very often for mani/pedi and massages. I got my first facial done here recently. I had such an amazing experience! Winnie is a master at what she does and my skin has never been better! I forget which facial I got, but I am totally over-the-top smitten by the results! She extracted all the nasty gunk off my face, exfoliated my skin, and put on a pumpkin pie smelling mask on my face and neck. It smelled really good, I honestly really wanted to try it... But I didn't. :( After, she put all sorts of hydrating lotions on and ta-da! Beautiful, silky smooth skin. I got a mani-pedi done after, and they lasted me quite a long time. They also sell mineral makeup there which I am definitely going back for. In addition to all the AH-mazing services available here, the atmosphere of the place is very serene and relaxing with lovely decor; it definitely lives up to its name! Came here for a 60-minute foot massage and left with my feet feeling like jelly and my legs feeling loose after a full day of walking. I'll be coming back! Everyone was pleasant, and they gave you some fun balloon shorts to change into if you have pants on so you don't have to roll up your pants. There's 5-10 minute warm bath for your feet prior to the massage to clean and soften your feet. They end with a hot towel on your feet to really make your feet soft and supple. Expect to tip at least $10 to your masseuse at the end for each hour of service. It's super affordable and reasonable for what you're getting. read more

I was a regular at paradise day spa for reflexology, however, lately they have turned very shady (locked interior doors buzzers and a parade of day labors with "that" look on their faces. I went to yelp to try and find a new place and heard about Royal Wellness by Alice. This place is spectacular! Its beautiful, extremely clean, great chairs, the layout is wonderful - very cozy. Soft music and perfectly dimmed lights. Alice the owner is lovely and very attentive. The guy who did my feet was wonderful he really knew what he was doing, he found all my blocked chi and massaged me and my feet into nirvanna. I floated home feeling restored and renewed. Working extremely long hours, took the opportunity of an earlier leave from work due to the Nor'easter to get a much needed massage. Being Asian, have had plenty of massage experiences throughout the city and other cities with little preference to glamorized spas that don't ever result in much for me. Since Flushing has a flood of options, I honestly went with the one that had decent sounding reviews (though aged), didn't seem like a happy-ending spot and chose this one on cleaner looking pictures. No one was at the front desk and the travel agent (neighboring store) assisted me in grabbing someone who ran out looking flustered (busy) and proceeded to tell me there was a 30-minute wait (I walked in with no appointment). Too lazy to trudge through the sludge to another spot, I requested a female and waited on the couch outside. The same woman ended up doing my massage and believe me when I say I'm pretty picky about the quality. She didn't asked me how much pressure I prefer or what were my problem areas. Instead, she was almost psychic during the process, zoning in on the main areas that keep me in pain. I don't like chatty service and the only time she spoke was to give me advice on taking better care of the body (being that almost all my muscles are stiff). The best part was the "psychic" understanding of the pressure I prefer which is "put me in pain so it feels better later, but not the kind of pain where you hit my bones, bruise me and have no idea what you are doing". The hour body massage is every so slightly steeper than some at $38 but worth it. She didn't try to sell me any additional services other than mention the package of 5 massages for $150 (which I will definitely consider after a couple of more tries) and recommend Asian herbs to take. Additionally, the wait was due to her being one of the very few to make it into work (ahem, work ethic). Those of us who know, $10 bucks is the expected tip for an hour's service. So stop being cheap and give more if you encounter someone who deserves it for doing good work (plenty of other half-assed bums out there doing the same work). And if you want to complain about a $10 minimum tip, go to a Massage Envy and go pay your premium fixed price there with a smaller tip. Her English name is Lisa by the way. Nicest lady ever. Unfortunately I did not have a good experience when I went. I got a 60 min back massage. My masseuse pressed hard but missed the pressure points, and failed to target my sub scapular, lats, and lower back when I complained of back pain. It seemed like she just pressed the area with knots, which doesn't really address the underlying trouble spots. I ended up feeling more pain and discomfort in my back the next day. Also, the oil they use is of poor qualify, and it itched my skin. I went with 2 other guests. One had a so-so experience and the other one reported they had a good experience. Maybe some other masseuse is better, but I won't go back unless I have a recommendation for a specific therapist. read more

I live in Flushing and is an abundant number of sketchy places not only look dingy, but give you the sense that they definitely offer "off-menu" items. This place is super nice and clean. The masseuse was good I just got grossed out by their bathroom where there was no soap to wash my hands and then they required a $10 tip where there was no sign posted. That spoiled it for me. Talk about relaxing! I had the best massage of my life here!! I was so relaxed in the chair that I fell asleep for a good part of the time. I would highly recommend going here for a massage, if you want to treat yourself. I really enjoy my time there. The price is very reasonable: 1 hour massage is $60.
