It's Chinese style bodywork massage. Occasionally I'll get a masseuse who goes too gentle and I barely feel it and when I ask for a deeper massage, it doesn't happen but it's not a big problem. My friend was very adamant about this place and suggested that we go here together to get a foot massage. They are located on the second floor of some commercialized building so finding this place can throw you off a bit. But once we got upstairs, the lady that checked us in seems nice. We were told that they would honor the same price but added $5 for tax and $2 for credit card processing. And was advised not to share with other patrons. My mom and I came for a relaxing afternoon and literally had the WORST massage experience ever. First, as other reviewers mentioned, they will NOT redeem your Groupon. The receptionist told us that the Groupon needed to be purchased 48hrs prior to the appt even though the advertisement said 24 which is when we purchased the Groupon and booked the appt. My mother had to get up from the table after having already gotten undressed to tell the receptionist that we were ready. She apologized, told us to relax, and blamed the delay on the client before us who supposedly came in late and put everyone behind. Our massages finally get started and there is no conversation about specific areas of need or pressure level - they just get right to it. Not long after starting, I hear a phone vibrating and my mother's masseuse answers the phone! Within 10 minutes time, she must've picked up at least 3-4 calls for additional appointments. Then I hear her coming in and out of the room -- I look up and she's not even there and didn't return for what I think was about 5 mins or so. She returns and we are all finally in a flow of getting our massages... or so I thought. My mother's masseuse once again answers the phone and takes another appointment, my head is down on the table and I continue to hear her talking and whispering and then she leaves again! By the time she returned, I had enough. I stopped my massage and had to ask "What the hell is going on?!" I told them that it was not appropriate to be answering the phone, leaving my mother mid-massage/ back exposed, and coming in and out of the room. It was not relaxing and not at all how a massage is supposed to be. The receptionist came in, apologized and said she'd be giving my mom and extra 15 minutes on her time as if it was a favor. I agreed to continue and asked them for no more interruptions. As for the actual massage, neither were good. My masseuse spent a majority of time on my upper back, used a lot of oil, did not evenly massage my arms or legs, never asked me to turn over, and also went in and out of the room to get the hot stones or towels or whatever she was getting (without telling me). To make it worst, every time one of them left the room, they would leave parts of our bodies exposed and leave the room door open! We each had to tell them to apply more pressure throughout and there were no actual massage techniques being used. It was an oily rub down at best. Lastly, upon check out I made sure to let the receptionist know how much of a terrible experience we had. As we were leaving, she had the nerve to demand a tip and then complained about what they received (about 10% due to the quality of service) -- she expressed that the massage technicians ONLY get paid by tips. I was tense and squirming the entire 60 minutes as my masseur apparently couldn't read body language or when I was say "ow". Finally I told him he was hurting me. I'm wondering. The owner has changed? They were always nice and I used to get a massage from always same lady. So called the place to book it today and told that want to book with her. The person on the phone was a guy. He just said "no 'The lady's name'." So I asked if I gave the wrong name or did she quit? He just ignored what I said , kept saying "you want to do a reservation? , reservation? 1:40 is okay?" I said yes, but did she quit? He just said I don't know, I don't know! aggressively and hung up on me. Shouldn't he say "we don't have her any more, but other ladies are good as well. So you should try" , Something like that? The massages are generally good but the service could use some improvement, especially when it comes to tip requesting. The 10% credit card fee is a turnoff. Furthermore, the telephone number needs to be updated. read more

Update: My first experience is pretty nice. However, last time I made an order on groupon and trying to make an appointment. They told me if I want to use the groupon I have to pay extra tax. But if I directly pay them, I don't have to pay tax. And the interesting part is, whatever service you received, you have to pay at least $10 for tips. Otherwise, they give you a bad look. read more
