Not just with the massage, but by my whole time spent with Donna. I had been having both neck and upper back pain for a number of months. I came to have a massage to help alleviate the tightness for a few days or so. Donna asked me questions about the source of the pain, exact location, and how it has progressed over the past few months. She really made the experience personalized so she would target the exact problem areas. During the session, she focused a deep tissue massage on the sore spots to really help loosen them up. The hour I had been scheduled for seemed like 15 minutes with how relaxed I was. She then gave me tips for future reference to help prevent the muscle spasms including stretches I could do at home. I have felt better since our session and the tension relief has lasted way longer than I could have ever imagined! To start off with, the spa is located in the cozy little town of Greenlawn. There is plenty of parking in back, and there is a back entrance for convenience. Usually I am able to get a spot right out front. The Xiu Lan Spa was recommended to me by a coworker so I decided to give it a try. I've been to a number of different spas in Huntington and surrounding areas and was pleasantly surprised with this new spot. Every spa I've tried before always had a few points I felt were sub par. This spa was different. It checked off all the boxes. The fees are competitive and for the service I get, I wouldn't mind paying more. This is the only spa I go to now and have been going to for a while now. The staff couldn't be more friendly and the massage therapists are fantastic. By now they know me, and where I need the most work, but they always ask if anything has changed, and if anything needs any special attention. This time it was our anniversary so I decided to take my husband for a couples massage. This was our first time getting a couples massage, and what a great anniversary treat this was. Making the appointment was very simple and easy as always. They are always friendly and welcoming, and this time was no different, and we're glad to see me bring my husband. They have a special couples massage room which was just as clean and relaxing as the individual room. The massage rooms are clean and well kept, the lighting and music relaxing. The tables are also very comfortable. There is a large curtain which provides more than sufficient privacy. They gave us plenty of time to undress and get ready. The message therapist announced herself at the entrance, and waited for me to say it was ok for them to enter. I've seen the one massage therapist many times by this point, and she always remembers I need extra attention for my lower back and shoulders. I sit in front of a computer all day. The other massage therapist asked my husband about any special considerations he needed addressed. My husband plays tennis on the weekends and always complains about his feet and calves so she spent a lot of time working on his sore spots. He was very grateful. What a great experience this was. I am so happy we decided to do this together. My husband says he will book an hour Massage after his next tennis day. This was such a nice experience I felt I owed it to them to write a review to recognize their hard work and attention. It is so nice being able to treat myself to something so peaceful and relaxing after work. I feel very lucky to have found this spot.

We called in advance the first time and they were able to take two of us within 10 minutes. The second time when there were 3 of us, they were able to take us within 45 minutes. They do basic "bodywork" massages for $45 an hour, plus card fees, which is a very good price. They charge $2.33 extra per massage for using a credit card. What I didn't like is that it can be a hit or miss. One therapist did a very light massage (not getting out knots) and even answered phone calls during my massage. She also started later and ended earlier than others who started earlier than me. They also default to hot stones, so you have to tell them in advance you don't want it. We forgot to do it for our second massage and it was done, but it was like less than a minute. The rooms are separated only by curtains as well. Overall, the price point is good, but the service and the therapist can be random and unpredictable. It seems like some folks who call seem to know who is best and will call in advance to book their session with certain folks.

I saw the $60 for $85 deal and called Christine right away to book an appointment. This intimate little boutique is definitely a hidden gem in town. Right away the place is very clean and inviting. I got a deep tissue massage from Christine and she was very thorough from her questions regarding injuries and allergies to the actual massage experience. I can say that I am super relaxed and my neck is no longer in pain :) I also enjoyed the light scents of her oils because I have a very sensitive nose. In terms of the booking, this place is very accommodating and responsive. I had many questions on the various couples packages. They answered what they could immediately and called me back (had in person customers) to finish responding to my questions. I called 13 days in advance to try to schedule the visit for my wife's actual birthday (a Sunday). They only had availability on the Saturday for that same weekend so i booked. The weekend before my appointment, they called to say they were able to move my appointment to the Sunday for my wife's actual birthday. I declined as we already scheduled other plans for the Sunday, but i did express my gratitude for them trying to accommodate the special occasion. For the spa visit, they were welcoming when we arrive and the massage specialists we had were excellent. They confirmed any body areas that needed special attention and then the appropriate amount of pressure. My wife also said she enjoyed her massage. It was a very good experience. We had our own room and after everything was done the package also included champagne and chocolates so we sat and had those at the end before we left the room. We had a very good experience and would definately recommend this place.
