Honestly, tapioca lounge on 5660 Barnes is so much better. The boba (black pearl) was not cooked through all the way. So gross because it was like hard in the middle. I asked the front staff why it tasted so off and they shrugged and sorta ignored me. But speaking of quality of the drink, I could tell the cream cheese was made from powder and not from each individual ingredients (i.e. cream cheese, milk, etc). Finally made it in to try their drinks and got the lavender milk tea with black pearl and herbal jelly. While the tea was amazingly good, the black pearl was not soft and chewy. It was either old or way undercooked. The herbal jelly was disgusting. It was not soft like the ones I usually get somewhere else and it was overly sweet and tasted weird, not herbal. I would come back and drink their milk teas again but would not get any toppings. And for $0.83 each toppings you do get a good amount of black pearls and I got 3 inch size herbal jelly. The barista that made my drink was training someone and she was very thorough and very knowledgeable on how to make drinks and I appreciate her attention to the little details. ordered a "mango smoothie with boba" and got this? A strawberry smoothie. We brought forth this error and they insisted we ordered this. We took a look at the label to see if we did in fact order the strawberry one and the label was ripped. Coincidentally the label was ripped where it was supposed to say "mango". I ordered the Earl Grey milk tea with regular black boba and I loved it. Sometimes other places steep the teas too long and they become bitter, but not here! I've been to all the tea places in Colorado Springs (and plenty more around the world). Literally ALL the tea places in springs I've been. I even get teas from random Asian restaurants. This place is by far the best. I usually get the strawberry cheese top tea with 50% sugar. I like my drinks less sweet so I always reduce sugar in my drinks wherever I go. If you have cash they charge less basically to counteract the credit card fees. They also recently started a rewards program after 30 drinks you get a free drink which is a little too many IMO. read more

Thanks to them using plastic lids now and changing their large cup to be skinny on the bottom( making the cup top heavy ), when I set my drink down, bumped the table just a little bit with my head to grab my straw off the ground, the cup fell over and all the contents ended up all over my table, floor, and the upholstered bench at my table. This was the only boba place I would go to and I always got the same thing, made the same way. I will no longer be going here because of the changes made to the cups lids, the changes made to the cups themselves, and the employee's not reading and following instructions for Doordash orders.
