Not only do they have ridiculously rich and delicious milkshakes but also incredible chocolates and candies. I wasn't going to try, but they tempted me with a sample and then that turned into.....welllllllll I guess I need a bar and then that lovely girl asked if I wanted to take advantage of their sale if I purchased two more to get a discount, so ya I went home with three! The place is impeccably clean and has a beautiful case full of treats and gifts to tantalize plus there are charming tables to dine in if you wish to do so. I'm a bit bummed they didn't have sustainable options for people dining in otherwise I think its a great place to grab a milkshake. The carmel pretzel had the texture I look for in a milkshake as well as the taste. My wife had the vegan oreo which wasn't as good but nice that they have vegan options. There was some seating on the side but in a bit of a tight space and the atmosphere you would expect from a fast food stop. We liked being able to have it there but it was kind of moot since they didn't have glass cups and metal straws. The staff was very friendly and the service was fast so absolutly no complaints there. Well, I walked in this afternoon looking for a milkshake. But, temptation took over and I walked out with mountains of chocolate instead lol! I got several chunks of the almond chocolate and the cookie brownie chocolate. Both delicious but the almond was my preference. The almonds added a nice woody richness to the deep, milk chocolate flavor. The chocolate is creamy! Beyond creamy! It was about 1:30 on a Monday and there was nobody else in the shop. I was greeted quickly and allowed to have a couple of samples. Definitely not something you get at most ice cream/candy shops (by sample I mean a good sized chunk of chocolate). Cute location with lots of seating. Staff was really friendly and patient with us when we had questions about the menu. We ordered the Bananas Foster Milkshake, Vanilla Milkshake, Dubai Chocolate Bar, and Strawberries & Cream Molten Cup. The milkshakes were so decant. We enjoyed the banana milkshake. It had generous pieces of banana in it, however, the banana pieces made it a little difficult to drink with a straw. The strawberry and cream molten cup is just as you would expect it to be. The crisp, sweet strawberries paired well with the cream and warm chocolate sauce. It was a nice treat. And the Dubai style chocolate bar was the best Dubai chocolate bar I've had in town. I have now been to Milkshake Factory twice & I'm already planning my next trip back. As soon as you enter, there's a "happy" vibe. There is space for a larger party, but also smaller tables for 2-4 people. I'm a huge fan of the concept, you get into one line, look over all the snacks and treats while deciding what to order. Once I was at the register and had been greeted, I asked if it was possible to get the strawberries and cream molten cup, add banana. She advised she'd need to ask the owner, returned shortly after advising they could definitely make that for me!! I ordered that, 2 chocolate shakes, one without whip and 2 cake pops. Wow! Love this place. They have reasonably priced, super high quality milkshakes. But that's not the end of it! Their staff is fantastic - polite, fast, attentive, and friendly. They have an assortment of inhouse chocolates that are delicious, great for gifting, and available to sample. $10 chocolate milkshake tastes no different than McDonald's milkshake which is one-third the price. I couldn't understand why the brownie fudge chocolate shake was no more chocolatey or rich than melted soft serve from Dairy Queen. When the owner stopped by my table to ask how it was, I flat-out said it was the same as "common chocolate soft serve." He then dropped the bomb: The "base" ice cream is VANILLA. No wonder my shake tasted no more chocolatey then, say, Walmart's cheapest plain chocolate ice cream with NO fudge or choc. powder added in. He said nobody else had ever complained. I said that's because most people just want something sweet and cold, and also because as a chocoholic, I'm the type who'll speak up. But that aside, the FACT is that a company that touts killer chocolate shakes uses VANILLA ice cream as the base. WTF. I asked why doesn't he use chocolate ice cream as the base? He said because vanilla is cheaper as a base for ALL the flavors (e.g., you can't use chocolate as a base for a strawberry/vanilla shake). I then asked, "Why not have TWO bases in stock: one vanilla, one chocolate?" He said it was cheaper to have just ONE base and gave some explanation (that made no sense) as to why. I said that a true, REAL chocolate shake has CHOCOLATE ice cream, not vanilla! I also pointed out that there was hardly any brownie, fudge or chocolate chips in it. He said that he has to go by some corporate policy for the ratio (even though he's the OWNER). So why all the high ratings here, then? I didn't read all of them but seems that friendliness and speediness will net a high rating. Hey, I just want a REAL chocolate shake, not some McDonald's knockoff. I'm not there for smiles, cheer or spaciousness. They also have other products (namely chocolate-themed barks) that could net a high rating. A chocoholic will be very disappointed in Milkshake Factory's chocolate milkshakes; they are NOT chocolate milkshakes; they're VANILLA shakes with chocolate added in. The owner gave me a card for a free shake and recommended that next time, I request extra chocolate powder and fudge to compensate for the vanilla base. Well, that was nice of him, but I don't think that's gonna work. Imagine what their chocolate-themed shakes would taste like if they had a base of Belgian chocolate ice cream! read more
