When I first pulled up to ask, if the oil change service was open on Sundays, I got a very…read moreunenthusiastic yes from a guy who apparently is part of the oil change team. Awesome. God helped me, the grind is endless with these guys. I'm used to an oil change with the filter upsell, but I knew I wasn't going to agree to anything from these people when they came to me with a $189.99 transmission service recommendation for a car with a sealed transmission. So you didn't check my transmission you just know it needs servicing. I was half tempted to say yes to this only to find out whether or not they would admit that they have no way of doing it even if they wanted to. It was about $30 more than I normally pay for an oil change, considering it came with a "free" car wash that's probably about right. From what I understand people pay $27 at Mike's which I will NEVER understand why people spend so much money on car washes here. Anyway they did their job. It's fine, but I probably won't go back.

We joined Drive and Shine when they came to Fort Wayne by purchasing unlimited plans for two of our…read morevehicles. We were sold a discounted Gold plan, and not told it was an introductory offer or anything. Last month I noticed our plan was changed to Basic. I have spent a couple weeks calling and talking with managers there and getting billed weird amounts instead of the set amount. I was told AI was being used and kept changing plans back to basic because they were discounted. Today I find out the plan they offered back when they opened here was discontinued, and the comparable plan by price is the Basic plan, which doesn't include the same features as the plan I've been paying for and was sold initially. Will definitely be cancelling our membership here. Definition of Bait n Switch.

Right before the winter, I like to take my van, with my other vehicles down and get them washed and…read morewaxed before winter arrives. The best place to do this is at a blushless car wash. Nothing gets all the dirt removed from all the nooks and crannies. Also from the body to the underneath like a good spraying. And the liquid wax being sprayed will get into every part. This is better than a good hand waxing in my option. A few years ago, a lot of owners of high-end conversation vans would go there. Until the Kelly family of dealers decided to upgrade from the top of the line "blushless spray wash" system. To a newer "economy brush" system, to be honest the 14/69 car wash cannot compete now. After going through the 14/69 with my van I still had different colored soaps? On the vehicle, with the rear doors still showing unwashed dirt areas. Also mostly, it had ripped lose part of the mudguards going down the sides of my van! It was not designed for something that big. The (dare I call it soap), was so strong, it would (remove) any of the hand wax I had put on. Right down to the paint? Was this to try to maximize the short length of the car wash? The new Mike's car wash, at the Glenbrook Mall can beat it. Mostly length is the reason, in my option. The brushes need a longer "tunnel" to clean a vehicle. Any full size car or van will be well cleaned, at this Mike's location. Afterward if you buy a high quality wax (meguiar's) and spread it over the top and hood of a van. It will last the whole winter without coming off. This is what I do with my van. The paint is "saved" from the winter. Or on any vehicle, the wax should not come off. Except if you go to the 14/69-auto body wash.
