The only downside was their quote was higher than others but we understood the value they would provide. After several discussions, we chose Marvin Elevate windows and decided to proceed in phases, starting with Phase I to see how things would go. We were very pleased with the results of Phase I: the installation was efficient, the crew was professional and knowledgeable, and they left our space clean and tidy. My wife and I recently completed a total renovation of our fifth floor condo in Lincolnshire. The building is thirty years old and the original Pella wood sash windows needed to be replaced. After doing my research I hired Royalty to install my windows (5 in total). I was so impressed that they had so many good reviews, but I have to say I cannot give them 5 stars. You have to sign off that they are not responsible for damage to trim or walls and I definitely had drywall damage to 3/5 of the walls where the windows were installed. When I pointed it out I was asked if that damage was there before. When I pushed back he conceded that that wasn't their intention. A little over a week later I had to have them come out again because not one window would shut all the way or lock. The guy came out fixed them and gave me a lesson on how to open and shut windows. I am now having the same problem. Very frustrating. The thought of having them come out just to help me close my windows is not what I signed up for. read more

The price was better than everyone else, easy to work with, very professional, the windows are beautiful and most importantly the installation looks absolutely perfect inside and out. No damage to the house or our wood floors, and they cleaned up everything nicely. Their installers obviously have a lot of experience and know what they are doing, true craftsmen. I recommend Royalty Windows for sliding glass door replacement. I worked with them to replace two existing sliding doors with new Andersen doors. The process was easy, they did great work, and I appreciated their expertise. I worked with Patrick who was responsive and communicative throughout the process. Patrick did a thorough job scoping the project to create an initial quote and completing a more intense inspection of the job before placing the order. The doors took several months to produce because of supply chain delays, but Patrick was clear about the timeline from the beginning and the doors were delivered and installed within the timeline he provided initially. He provided updates throughout the process and was quick to respond when I checked on things. The installation went smoothly even though it was a challenging job given that it was a condo in the city that required using a lift to raise the doors from an alley. The only hitch in the installation was a missing piece that Andersen did not include in the order. Patrick immediately contacted Andersen, got the replacement part, and installed it free of charge quickly after the rest of the job was completed. They had a competitive price on Marvin windows but the installation was horrible. They scratched my floor and damaged drywall returns. On installation they realized they needed to add framing and poorly installed unfinished pine quarter rounds which looked horrible (see photo). After multiple attempts at getting them to respond to correct the damage they ultimately sent me $150 for me to paint/stain the unfinished quarter rounds myself and apparently to fix the drywall damage. The window frames were a scratched in several places and no correction was offered. read more

Royalty Windows is a fantastic family business that had my best interest at heart. They replaced 19 of my windows with new Marvin windows on a newly purchased property in Buffalo Grove. Let me first begin by saying how professional these folks were. Their sales consultant was never pushy, and he offered me some really great suggestions to match my home. I appreciated the respectful sales process, which was very honest. And when it came down to pricing, they surprised me when they were significantly lower than some other quotes I had gotten. These other well-known companies had "deals" advertised, which still ended up being a lot more than Royalty Windows. Another great thing working with this company was the quality of communication. I received many updates on the status of the windows as well as the installation schedule. To top it off, the window install team was top-notch. They worked efficiently and did some very clean work. The team had also hauled away the old windows and made sure to leave without a trace of debris, which was a concern of mine Overall, I highly recommend this company as they were honest and communicative throughout the whole process. I would be weary of working with Royalty Windows. We reached out to a few window companies for quotes and Royalty was one of them. Prior to arrival, me and the representative of Royalty exchanged texts about his arrival. We were having construction work done at the house on this particular day. My last text with him stated, "(sir), please give me a call upon arrival. We are having construction done and we'll need to let you in via our garage." Before I opened the garage door, he proceeded to walk on our wet concrete to our side door - taking a total of nine steps. This was very much still an active construction site with the workers still working and the freshly poured concrete marked with large orange cone and concrete buckets. When I opened the garage door and let him in, he came inside and was adamant about taking his shoes off when I told him it was unnecessary - when he should have then come clean about walking through the wet concrete. 45 minutes later, my concrete guys noticed the issue and alerted me, which was too late because the concrete was setting and couldn't be repaired. We asked to have this issue addressed, but Royalty has chosen to not do anything about the issue. Their initial solution to our issue was $300 off a 48k quote. Then they stated they would send their construction guy out to make repairs but only if we used them to replace our windows. We have chosen not to spend the sizable amount of money on windows at this time. When I told them we weren't using them, they told me they wouldn't do anything about the concrete. They will say that I didn't mention wet concrete in my text. But you can see, the instructions were very specific to come to the garage door and enough info to alert him of hazards in the area. They will also say there wasn't any caution tape. As I stated before, my construction guys were still on site actively working. I definitely would not trust a company that works without integrity and refuses to fix property one of their employees damaged. We are extremely disappointed that they do not live up to their reputation. read more
