When we tried to talk to the person working and ask for a refund, they refused. They continued to refuse. Stay away from this place--they do not deserve business and they are duplicitous, scammy, and do not care about good business practices. Stay somewhere else instead!

I am writing this review to not only have their money but perhaps their lives from filth. When we arrived the owner seemed Pleasant at first and brought us to our room. After he left I noticed some weird stains on the blanket covers when I pulled down the blanket there were stains all over the sheets. He came into the room and said he didn't see the stain on the sheets but he would take my word for it. Maybe he's half blind. I have no idea. He brought us to another room which seemed better but we didn't check it out because we were going out to dinner. When we got back we pulled down the sheets to not only find more stains but crumbs and the refrigerator had half-eaten food from the people who had the room the day before. I called another hotel at midnight, left there, and paid $200 to find a decent place to sleep. So I'm out $200 plus the money that I spent for that hotel. That should give you an idea of how horrible it is. No one leaves a hotel and spends $200 at midnight looking for a new place to sleep unless it's a god-awful hole. On top of that, he is a rude mean horrible prick. I tried getting a refund and he told me I was making things up to get my money back which makes no sense because it was midnight and we had already checked in. I hope this place closes soon I hope his family and this man suffer a horrible fate and go broke because no one will book a room in this s*******. The hotel is for sale so that gives you an idea of why he's even less interested in taking care of paying customers. People need to leave bad reviews to help put them out of business before they sell it for a profit and help not put food on their table. I should have taken pictures of the many stains on the sheets, the crumbs in the bed, and the half-eaten food in the refrigerator, but was too grossed out. My son and I just needed to get out of there. My son and I were completely horrified. Please take heed and RUN for your life!!!!

My review is from a stay in January 2025. *^* The Mainstay Inn is a small independently owned hotel in the heart of Phoenixville's commercial corridor - picture an area with great restaurants, breweries, shops, and the legendary Colonial Theater. That is its most valuable draw, as there are no other hotels around - the closest is 2 miles away. I reserved a room, as a local, because the colonial had an all day movie festival that ended at 10:30 PM. Oh, and it was snowing. I parked in the adjacent city owned lot. The hotel has a small number of spots behind the building and they fill up. The room was very clean , though dated. Actual room keys! Patterned bedspread! It was small, as in no chair or desk or whatever. My room faced the parking lot. I was impressed that it was quiet. I felt safe and comfy. The next morning I had muffins & fruit & tea from their breakfast bar before checking out. Staff were professional and friendly. It's a comfy, quiet small hotel in an unbeatable location. Thru are probably already sold out for Blobfest next year - it's that perfect. If you're looking for expansive space and luxury amenities, it may not be for you. I have seen photos of what the new owners are doing and it looks great.

The rooms were very clean and appeared to be newly remodeled. you're given a set of keys to your door, which I think was super cute nowadays people go out of their way to experience retro style things. So an inn with keys to the room was super fun to me! The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our visit. We stayed for a girls' weekend, and it was the perfect amount of space to get ready and relax before heading out to explore. The inn is owned by a friendly couple who truly made us feel at home. Highly recommend!

I finally had to call to get in, but I still wasn't upset. It is now 4:00 am and I haven't been able to sleep as the doors in the hall constantly open and slam. This has been going on ALL NIGHT. I realize there is a fine line between having a door close securely and slamming. You should figure out where that line is....... You might say but isn't that a guest issue? I'm 50' from the front desk. Tell me no one heard this going on. I would usually say something nice about close proximity to the interchange, highway, shopping, food or the Oaks conference center, but the traffic noise was 422 was annoying ALL NIGHT. Some better windows would be great. And yes the pillows are absolutely terrible. On the bright side, it's clean. Fairly well kept. Not a great Hilton experience.

Cirque is across the street in the parking lot of the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center. Our room was ready when we arrived, and check-in was easy. Everything was in order in our room with one exception. The toilet tank had a sound indicating that a small amount of water was constantly running. This was not loud enough to hear or disturb us when we were not in the bathroom. It did not interfere with our ability to sleep. We therefore waited until checkout to inform the front desk. We had a quick bite at the restaurant, the Garden Grille & Bar, before heading over to Cirque du Soleil. The lobby and restaurant area are attractive. If and when Cirque returns, this Hilton Garden Inn will be high on our list.
