bloody towel in first room they gave us

Great location, bad experience. The first room they gave us was not clean and had a bloody towel on the bed. When we came back after a night out, the door to our room was wide open. Apparently they had given a key to our room to another guest. Just imagine if you were sleeping and at 2am some stranger with a key to your room walks in. Completely unacceptable. You have been warned...

We were a group of 9 Bike riders who booked 5 rooms at the Mainstay Inn. The hotel is located on Bridge Street one block off the Schuylkill River bike trail. The staff could not have been more helpful in making this a pleasant experience and stay in Phoenixville. Big thanks to Jennifer and Natasha for helping to store our suit case bags for our arrival and for helping to safely store our bikes overnight. Complimentary breakfast is enough to get you out the door for the day. Rooms were clean and comfortable. If you visit Phoenixville I would definitely recommend this hotel for its location and service.

Outside my hotel window, was over at ten pm.

To say we were spoiled, would be an understatement. Every employee lathered us with smiles and a willingness to help. The checkin was easy and my room on the 2nd floor at the end was perfect for me-just the way I like it. While breakfast was free for us, there were no vegan options, I never chance it, so I had meal planned ahead of time which worked perfectly as my room had a mini-fridge and a microwave. Woohoo!!! My colleagues did have breakfast and enjoyed the French Toast. The coffee was sub-par but luckily, there's not only a Starbucks but a Dunkins within walking distance. I finally had to call to get in, but I still wasn't upset. It is now 4:00 am and I haven't been able to sleep as the doors in the hall constantly open and slam. This has been going on ALL NIGHT. I realize there is a fine line between having a door close securely and slamming. You should figure out where that line is....... You might say but isn't that a guest issue? I'm 50' from the front desk. Tell me no one heard this going on. I would usually say something nice about close proximity to the interchange, highway, shopping, food or the Oaks conference center, but the traffic noise was 422 was annoying ALL NIGHT. Some better windows would be great. And yes the pillows are absolutely terrible. On the bright side, it's clean. Fairly well kept. Not a great Hilton experience.

Our room was very generously sized and the kitchenette provided an impressive amount of counter space. I was very appreciative that we were allowed to bring our dogs, it turns out that Residence Inns are pet friendly! There is TONS of parking including pretty close to the side doors. Check in was seamless, there was no line and it took about 2 seconds. Part of that was because the person didn't provide us with any info whatsoever regarding the hotel or the breakfast or any amenities. Contrary to another review I am seeing here, there was no traffic noise and there is no "major highway" nearby. There is a street adjacent to the hotel but I didn't notice a lot of traffic. We could barely hear anything from our room. The bed was soft and comfortable. The shower was spacious with a moderate amount of water pressure. There was tons of space and countertops for me to put my gazillion toiletries. There are also two restaurants within very minimal walking distance as well as a dunkin donuts. Wawa is a short drive away and you can be certain I made myself very well acquainted with the staff here in just a few short days. The 2 stars is because on our last night (thank god it was the last night) I was returning from my last pee before bed when I noticed a baby cockroach crawling on our bed, its little likely disgusting feet caressing the sheets that would proceed to place near my face. Needless to say I killed it and promptly flushed it down the toilet but was horrified by that experience and spent the rest of the night wondering how many others were hiding.
