All I needed was the labor for the install to save some time, since I'm perfectly capable of doing the job myself. They refused to use my parts, even though they were OEM. The policy is apparently no customer-supplied parts, period. I understand not wanting to use customer parts for more complex repairs, but for a simple tune-up like spark plugs and coils, it really shouldn't have been a problem with genuine OEM Motorcraft parts. It felt like it was purely about marking up the parts themselves rather than any real concern. For something as basic and straightforward as plugs and coils, this rule is ridiculous and frustrating. Ended up doing it myself. If you're capable of handling a basic tune-up yourself and just want to pay for labor to save time, this isn't the place their inflexible policy will waste your time instead.

They noticed that my back tire was wobbly (not the official phrasing but the gist) -- something they could not repair and that I should not drive on. I called a mechanic close to Costco, who kind of shrugged me off because they couldn't get me in that day. I then called ImportDoktor (should have been my first call!). They also didn't have availability but told me how they could tow it to their shop for $125 and get on it in the morning. They were so friendly and helpful that I went with them. From there, they were great about communicating with me, sending me quotes via text. They were able to finish it the next day and left my car ready for me to pick up. As much of a headache as this experience was, ImportDoktor made it as smooth as it could be. Now my car doesn't make the same worrisome noises that it was before. I knew this person to be meticulous in the care and keeping of their car, so it felt like a solid recommendation. Several days later, I had arranged with Sherry from Tucker's to come in for an estimate. It was much more reasonable than the one from the other shop, so I arranged to leave my car there a few days later. Throughout the process, Sherry communicated and updated me. At one point they had to order another replacement mirror, and she promptly let me know, and offered for me to come and get my car if I needed it until the day that the replacement part would arrive. At the end of the process I could not be more pleased with the results. The Tuckers are meticulous in their work, friendly, and trustworthy.
