Unfortunately, in our situation, we had told the notary that my Uncle needed to finalize his legal documents. I made the notary aware that his ID expired in 2019, to which the notary said we'd be good. I gather all the legal documents, witnesses, my uncle (who was in poor health)...the notary comes and says he's unwilling to move forward because the ID was expired. The notary kept saying he could see it was clearly my uncle on the expired ID, but offered no solution. Waste of time and heartbreak for my uncle. This was before the holiday rush so we couldn't get a hold of another notary in time. Now my uncle is gone forever. A former notary advised that there were alternative measures the notary could have suggested like oaths from people who knew him, but this was not suggested. Do your research or find a different, more knowledgeable or wise notary. Otherwise, the notary was nice and arrived on time for the mobile notary.

I showed up the next day at location- and found there is no way to access the office. It's in a small office park. Only unmarked door had signs on it stating: "THIS IS NOT LIVESCAN." After walking around for a few minutes, I sent an email. No response. Called number listed- DISCONNECTED. Gave up and got great service at another livescan provider. Weird experience. BEWARE- response to my initial email was flagged as suspicious. I was expecting a response so did not give it much weight. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Would give zero stars if I could.

The sign on his window was small and the place he rented is clearly too big for his actual service since in his giant room there were only two chairs and a small desk. The rest of the space was very empty. Regardless of the sparsely decorated office, he was very cordial when he picked up the phone and he was efficient because there was no one in front of us. He was very fast in looking over the documents and was familiar with what each needed, even replacing one of my forms with a better page that he provided that had the right words for notary. His writing is a bit sloppy and as you can see form his Yelp page there are some grammatical errors, but his work is thorough and I don't think it effects the work that much. There's a big sign when you walk in that says cash only, but I saw that he did have a card reader ready just in case we didn't have cash. I had cash and gladly gave that to help out with his business expenses. $15 for each document, and I liked that he carefully looked through them to make sure all pages were in place. I'm glad to help a small business where I can, and would come back if I needed a notary in the Fresno area.
