Hamrick's is a great option. My last visit was not a good one. Went in with my family trying to help my cousin find a belt - we located one and all the signs say everything was on sale for either $10 or $20 (with original price ranges listed on the sign to indicate which was the sale price). At the register, it rang up for $25, which was obviously not correct - and according to the original price, it should have been $10. I went back, took pictures of the signs, and when I was walking back to the register, the cashier had given the belt to another staff member to check the price. I'm not sure if this was a manager or what, but I showed her the pictures and was told it must have been a different item. After trying to explain the original price and the sale prices, she said "I hate to tell you that the signs are not always the correct/same items or prices. I am not going to argue with you!" I was like, listen, either way, it rang up for $25, which is obviously not correct and she told the cashier to ring it up $20. She was extremely rude. I was not arguing with her, raising my voice or being disrespectful. I went to take pictures for them quickly so they didn't have to send someone to the back to check. And if the price is incorrect, I simply asked them to correct it. And don't tell me that I just have to deal with it because the signs aren't always right. Why are you posting incorrect information/pricing? Maybe you should check that before advertising items. I normally don't have an issue because I know what to expect from a Hamrick's, having been to other locations, etc. But this last experience has made me not want to visit this location again.

This is the best consignment retailer. Highly recommend. My father has been going to this store for over a decade to get his work shoes however after his…read moreexperience today I am telling him to stop. He was given such a terrible experience because the shoes he got originally to wear after a major surgery didn't fit so he wanted to return them and exchange the product for some work pants. He didn't even want a cash refund and if the cost of the exchange was over the original amount he was perfectly fine paying the difference. He had to argue with the woman because she kept saying it was his fault that the shoes he got did not fit. Once he finally got her to talk to the manager she reluctantly agreed that he could exchange the shoes for pants. As my father was looking at the work pants another customer came to get a refund on some shoes he bought. The same exact woman stated of course you can return your shoes we have a 30 day comfort guarantee. I guess she didn't think my father was worthy of the same guarantee. My father had worn the shoes a single time and she was giving him a hard time because he had worn them to work once. Overall the woman was extremely condescending and rude to him for absolutely no reason. I hope the manager of this store can help her understand that her treatment towards him was wrong. Long story short if you go to this store you better hope that the workers actually like you in every way or the experience you will receive will be like having your teeth pulled. I personally will not be going here anymore I might go to the store in Summerville and hope that this was just a single bad incident and that it isn't a systemic issue with bootjack in general.
