This was super fun. Think Dance Dance revolution meets Floor is Lava...ultimately a lot of fun and a good workout. I was gassed at the end. I thought I was good until I left and saw another group next door which were killing it. Note that it is a little hard to find with only a very small temporary signage on the street and needing to call through a security phone at which point they will buzz you in.

HITT exercise in a very fun way!!! Basically you need to run through the room strategically with your teammates to avoid the red tiles, step on all the blue tiles in order to win. Green tiles are your safe zone. We came here with the kids and all of us enjoyed it. Perfect for team building events or kids birthday party/play date.

OMG this was sooooo much fun!! It's basically a game of "the floor is lava", and you can make it as hard or easy as you want. You avoid the red "lava tiles" and you step on the blue tiles to gain points. ( The green is safe / neutral ). I've gone here w my partner and we completed all the levels, it was a work out , but also not crazy stressful. As in I can bring my little nieces, and it make easier and put the difficulty on infinite life Price wise, it's super reasonable, at only $20 from what I can remember at the time. Waiting time wise, I've only come in off hours, like early in the weekend daytime, but I never had to wait. But I do suggest booking ahead. Ambiance, Cleanliness and security wise, it's a tight ship. They have lockers for your stuff if you need to pack stuff away, and they have drinks and bathrooms which was nice since I got thirty running around. It's super clean and well air conditioned which was awesome, since I honestly worked up a sweat. Honestly, this was super fun. 10/10 I've gone multiple times and I recommend it to friends and family when they visit.

Children under 36" are free and can get on rides with a full paying adult. Came here just before 11am and the place was half full. We were able to get on rides pretty much straight away. There are 11 rides in total, not all available to children under 36 inches. There are also games kids can play for $5 per go. We kept going from one ride to another. The rollercoaster takes picture as you on the ride and charges $6 for one picture or $10 for two. I bought two and realised upon paying there was a QR (digital download) option for $3 per picture. I asked the lady about it and she said "sometimes it does not work so we don't advertise it". Bought lunch in the venue as well. Chicken tenders and fries were $12.50. Also bought ice cream for $6. Not the cheapest but pretty convenient. There were also magic shows being run every couple of hours. The magician was pretty funny for the kids but after a couple of goes with the same content.. Apart from paying extra for the pictures, I had a great time and will come back again. It's a relatively cheap day out if you go on many rides. It is also a good alternative for the last two weeks of summer breaks when most camps are done for the season.

There was a long line to get in at first, but I think that's mostly an opening rush situation. If you arrive just a little after opening, it would likely be much smoother. Definitely recommend buying tickets online ahead of time, since that's much easier than waiting at the kiosk. Once inside, there were a ton of rides for different ages. My son was able to ride many attractions by himself, which made it even more fun for him. I also have a two-year-old, and she was able to enjoy a few rides as well. We have the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk back home but Coney Island dwarfed it. For a Friday, the 2 amusement parks were busy with lots of kids and parent chaperones wearing the same t-shirts. I wasn't here to ride the rides but to wander and take it all in. Ticket prices varied per ride (little kids cheaper than the more thrilling ones for older kids/adults. All day wrist bands also were offered and maybe a better deal if staying a few hours or hitting the big rides. Lots of food options available in and around the parks. The most recognizable one for me was Nathan's Hot Dogs which actually served seafood, burgers and more besides their famous namesake hot dogs. The wooden boardwalk was in good condition and wide. It extended all the way down to the aquarium and Brighton Beach.. lots of benches to sit or sun yourself. Bathrooms were located near the beach but interestingly elevated above. Nice design from the outside but a little cleaner than your typical public bathrooms since there were staff busy cleaning when I popped in. The beaches wasn't as busy as the park and even less people were in the water. Overall fairly clean that day. Lifeguards were on duty, FDNY zipped by in a unique ATV style ambulance and later a patrol showing a good attention to safety and quick response. I'm glad I was able to finally see Coney Island in person. It should have enough options to entertain, thrill or just let you relax.

I recently went to a birthday party in January on one of the coldest days of the year. I honestly didn't get to enjoy it because the party room was unbearably freezing. They had the unit that blew out a b out of warm air but not enough to make the room warm. All of the guests had to be wear their jackets the whole time. We told the workers several times that it was freezing but nothing was ever fixed. I would warn parents to be mindful that if you are throwing a party in the winter, you might have a very cold room. At this time of this review it was priced at $8 a lock. The adventure course above was very interesting. After being harnessed in by staff you walk up the stairs to the course. There are several directions you can take which has challenging ways to walk to and from each platform. The highlight of this course is the zip line part. They have a safety light to indicate to the users when to wait and when to go. There are also three sections for rock climbing. In the other side there is a slide section with 7 areas to slide down. The staff member provides the slide sack and directs you how to use it before you head up. There is also a section upstairs that is for toddlers to play in. Also two additional swirl slides where you can access there. Overall we had fun. The price can be a little high for some, so best to try to see if they have any promotions.

Perhaps it's because of the sheer size of the mall or perhaps people were busy celebrating Mother's Day elsewhere, but it wasn't as busy or crowded as I would've expected. Although the food court wasn't packed, the wait for Jollibee was insane (probably a 25-35 minute wait). It was worth it though, I hope more malls in the U.S. have Jollibee. After eating, I explored the mall a bit. American Dream has a NHL-reuglate size ice skating rink (entrance is on the first floor, where you can also get the tickets). But what's wilder is the ski and snowboard resort - the first indoor snow resort in North America. I didn't go in but I could feel the chilliness from the condensation on the windows. There's also an NJ Hall of Fame, laser tag, Sesame Street Learn & Play, and Nickelodeon Universe inside. You can enter Nickelodeon Universe (no tickets needed) but you need to buy points to go on the rides. Even if you don't go on the rides, there are plenty of photo ops. I saw Spongebob and Squiward taking photos on a stage. Other cool things about American Dream: A ferris wheel called American Dream that allows you to see the NYC skyline, a Toys "R" Us train that goes around on one floor, and HMart. There is a fancier part of American Dream with high-end stores, too. I didn't come here for shopping though. Plenty of spots in the parking garage and it's $6 for each vehicle, though the first 15 minutes are free.

1 star - More Nightmare Than Dream…read more (But giving a 3 star since what was actually open was fun.) Took my daughter to American Dream Mall for her birthday weekend, expecting water slides and celebration shakes. What we got was a masterclass in disappointment. The water park was closed for electrical work. Fine -- things happen. So we headed to the shake shop to salvage the birthday with one of their fancy cake-topped frappés. Also closed. At this point the "dream" branding was starting to feel like false advertising. The hotel situation wasn't any better, not that the mall can be blamed for this. But fair warning to others who traveled as far as we did for this magical weekend. Pool closed for the entire weekend -- not for a quick cleaning, but pending state inspection results that could take "days to weeks." Called around to other hotels thinking we'd just move. Same story everywhere. Apparently post-Memorial Day weekend triggers mandatory state testing after high guest volume, and every pool in the area was in limbo. Nobody mentioned this when we booked. Back at the mall, the game room -- where the closed shake shop lives -- lost power entirely. And if that weren't enough, the fire alarm spent a good chunk of the afternoon flashing and blaring "there is a fire in the building, evacuate immediately" on repeat. Not once. Multiple times. So to recap: no water park, no birthday shake, no hotel pool, no game room, and a fire alarm that cried wolf so often we genuinely weren't sure whether to panic or just keep walking. Happy birthday, kid. At least the parking lot was open.
