At pickup, though, the staff informed me that their location requires $300,000-$350,000 in property damage coverage. This is significantly higher than what most standard auto policies include (usually around $50,000-$100,000). Because of this requirement, I was forced to purchase additional insurance. As a result, the total cost for the 3-day rental increased to $380.36--nearly double the original quoted price. On top of that, my credit card was charged $388.09, plus an additional $14.51 for toll fees that I was initially told were already included. I'm sharing this experience so that others are aware and don't get caught off guard like I did. Based on my experience, the pricing was misleading, and the situation felt deceptive/scammed. Over 20 min for a return phone call for pick up. 20 min wait for a 10 min drive. Then the driver is on the phone with someone the entire time, so that's why no one answers the phone. Now onto a lost item. Left a bag in the car, my bad. Called them at the airport before I left Florida and they said they would mail it to me. I didnt have time to catch an Uber, pick up the bag then make it back through security. Looking back, I should've taken that chance. Long story short, they didn't. Told me they had the bag, manager in charge of lost items wod be in the next day and would call me. They didn't. Stopped answering my calls, but would magicly pick up when I used a different number. Complete runaround. Finally got ahold of them yesterday, March 20th, they said I needed to schedule a pickup with fed-ex. Fine. Emailed them a label, told them they were gonna be there.. no response. Fed-ex couldn't pick it up. Lying, thieving, shady people. Now, the "corporate email" response is they never had the bag. Thank you for stringing me along. Yes, I left a bag, but you could've just told me to go phuck myself instead of all the head games. CAUTION: This company, doing business as SurPrice, added 2 additional charges of $160.77 and $155.97 for four day rental. Stated purpose was for insurance and "fees", plus $25 for each passage through a Florida SunPass toll and "fees". Conclusion: this company lures customers with cheap rentals, then adds numerous and extensive additional fees at the end without upfront notice. Posted an impossibly low rate- I want surprised it wasn't accurate but my $70 rate became over $700 not even including the $200 deposit. They talk really fast and try to get you to sign without questioning all the fees they are charging. Car itself was fine. Shady off site business. RROA Car Rental is completely dishonest and should be avoided. Despite having full coverage insurance, they refused to accept our insurance card and demanded additional documentation from our insurance provider--which we promptly obtained. Even after providing that documentation, they still charged us $171.57 for insurance, claiming we were required to carry a minimum $300,000 policy, which was never clearly disclosed upfront. We were told we could address the issue with a manager upon returning the vehicle, but unsurprisingly, the manager was not available. On top of that, we were supposed to receive a $200 deposit refund, which was never returned. I have called multiple times and left messages when possible, but most of the time the voicemail box is full. To date, I have received no response, no follow-up, and no resolution. What appeared to be a good deal for a 3-day rental turned out to be a bait-and-switch. They advertise low rates and then inflate the cost with excessive insurance charges, with no intention of returning deposits. Never again will I use this rental company. On December 27, 2025, I rented a vehicle from RROA Car Rental in Orlando, Florida. At the time of pickup, I was required to pay a security deposit, which the company explicitly stated would be fully refunded provided that the vehicle was returned without any damage. I have documented proof of this deposit. The vehicle was returned on time and in perfect condition, meeting all rental requirements: * No damages of any kind * Fuel tank completely full, exactly as received * All contractual obligations fully complied with In addition to the rental cost, I was charged: * Toll/tag fees * Fuel-related charges Despite returning the vehicle exactly as required, the security deposit has never been refunded. I had a very bad experience with SurPrice (dba RROA) in Orlando, Florida. When I arrived to pick up the car, I was told I had to purchase their insurance even though I already had coverage. I increased my limits to meet what they said was required, but then they said the policy had to be active for at least 15 days--something that was never disclosed beforehand. I'm here to report the fraudulent behavior of the "Saferide" car rental company at the Orlando Airport, operated by RROACARRENTAL. I rented a Saferide car with Economy Bookings for $57.76 from September 29th to October 1st. When I arrived at the Orlando RROA rental company on September 29th, the price changed to $164.72. I returned the vehicle on October 1st and it was inspected both internally and externally by the RROA CAR RENTAL representative, who told me everything was perfect and there were no problems. When I checked a few days ago, I found two credit card payments of $500 and another of $200, credited two days after delivery. I contacted the Orlando rental company and it took four hours to get a response, and I had to contact the Miami office for a response. When they finally responded, they made up a story about us smoking in the car and charged me $500. I've seen other reviews, and it's not the first time they've used this system to steal money. This is an unacceptable scam! I have a 4-year-old daughter, and I would never smoke in the car. We never smoked in the car, and the car was inspected the day we returned it, and there were no complaints; in fact, I was told it was perfect! I even filed a police report. People are sitting on the floor outside the office and inside the building. Every customer was yelling at this company because they basically do a bait and switch and keep doing unexpected add ons. Nobody could get the car they ordered and they would say you can get a car but it would be at a higher fee as if you just walked into the office on the spot. In their own terms on booking.com it clearly shows supplemental insurance is included with the price. When you don't want to pay and challenge them. They try to intimidate you, but won't do anything about it when you challenge them back. The owner apparently is a 25 year old kid with bad breath and curly hair who talked big but wouldn't step up when he had the chance. They will charge you triple or leave you stranded. This is the worst car rental company I have ever dealt with! Avoid them! First, they did not pick me up at the airport as scheduled. A van just happened to arrive over an hour later and I got on. Next, they made me pay for their car insurance ($172.00 for three days!) saying I needed to have $$300,000 in liability coverage which is not required by state law. The price is not what they advertise. They require you either purchase their insurance (even if your own insurance covers rentals) or provide a $1,000 deposit. Their policy on tolls is unclear, and changes depending on how many times you ask: $19 a day and they won't charge you for tolls, or $15 a day plus the costs of the tolls, even though they have the Sun Pass. When we asked why we couldn't just pay the costs of the tolls (we went through a cash lane to pay them), the guy tried to offer that they would not charge us for the tolls if we each left a 5 star review. How can I give 0 stars. Lies from the start. Unless your car insurance covers $100,000/300,000 (which you then can use your own insurance but have to put down a $1,000 deposit) you have to buy their insurance which is $35 a day and a $200 deposit. But wait there is more. They have a sun pass, but want to charge their customers for activation of it everyday. When we said we'd just pay the tolls they said fine, well then at the tolls we were told the sun pass was used. So then I try to pay online and tell the car rental place and all of a sudden it's $20 a day for the sun pass, so I say fine I'll pay it to be done with these people and not receive a later fine of $25 plus the toll, well then I was told my contract is locked and they'd send me the bill. They said if we (4 in my party) gave them a 5 star review they would waive that fee. I said I would never do that they don't deserve it at all. They never sent me an invoice for the extra $75 they just charged me. Worst experience ever do not use them. read more

Think before Renting Here!!!! Lady that works there is very Rude and Unprofessional. Instead of resolving issues she tells me that's the final answer. The issue was they charged my Credit Card $123 without my Authorization to ship a friend of mines cellphone that they left in Rental by accident! She tells me to tell the person I was with they owe me for shipping a cellphone back. I informed her that is not ok to charge my card for someone else issue without my authorization. They screen calls and ignore you when trying to resolve an issue. My Friend called and was told by Santiago they will bill him once the cellphone was shipped out, but they charged my credit card instead. They also charged for Tolls Fees after I was told there by Santiago who rented us the car, there will be no charges for toll fees because there is a Sunpass in the car. My Friend asked for a receipt to prove that is costed $123 to ship cellphone back to LA, and they told my friend they don't have one that someone shipped it out for them. Very Shady Business!!! Great customer service on the front end when you are getting the rental. They made me coffee and lent a car seat free of charge as the airport was holding bags due to lightning. However it took several attempts and multiple forms of contact to get a receipt after the return. The price was sky high compared to other companies but I was in a pinch. They took almost all of my deposit and charged an insane amount for fuel in comparison to other rental companies. I book a car one week out of each month but I Won't be using them again due to the cost being so so high. read more

RROA Car Rental did rent me a decent car which worked well etc., but beware they will potentially scam you. In my case it was almost 300.00 in local taxes and fees for a rental that was prepaid and there technically should have been none. If I wanted the car, I had to pay the fee. If I didn't take the car my expectation is that I would eat the prepay and need to go back and rent at the airport. They also don't answer there phone generally and would not return my calls. This has never happened to me before in almost 40 years of renting cars. I attempted to resolve this with booking.com and they were almost as bad and I could not resolve it. The lesson here may be that you should only rent from companies that you are familiar with. read more

If I could have left no stars, I would have! Buyer beware!! This was, by far, the worst car rental experience I have ever had. Reserved through Booking.com and I got what I thought was a good deal. When I showed up to the office, I was told that in addition to the $474 fee booking.com told me I would have to "pay at the counter", I would be charged an additional ~$700+ in other taxes and fees. When I asked what the other fees were, I was told that it was local taxes and fees and that I should have read the "other terms and conditions" section of the agreement. Well, I did read that section very carefully and it did not say anywhere that I would be charged an additional $700. This response is the hallmark of a company that is out to get your money any way they can. Disingenuous and shady at best; dishonest and downright criminal at worst. I recommend that you stay well clear of this company. If you must use them, be prepared to be ripped-off. By the way, shame on booking.com for using this company.
