What a great park! I love that there is a small and large dog area with lots of signage to be clear where certain dogs should go. It is very clean, the bark makes it easy to keep your dog clean, plenty of shade, spaced out benches, and dog poop bags and scoopers available. The large enclosure is thoughtfully covered with wood chips, which kept the ground dry and mud-free even after a rainy day--such a relief! My dog had a blast running around without us worrying about a messy cleanup afterward. The park also offers a few benches, which were perfect for relaxing while watching my pup play, and the agility features added an extra layer of fun for my four-legged friend. We visited in April, and I could already see that the trees will provide some nice shade in the summer, making it a great spot year-round. Such a fun, clean, big and shaded dog park. My friend and I met here with our big dogs and they loved it!! There's a thick layer of smooth soft bark all over the inside of the dog park. There's plenty of room for your pooch to run and play and get exhausted. It's ridiculous that people are rating this park two stars because of the patrons...That is like giving a brand new movie theatre one star because someone talked during the movie you saw. This park is great and we need more like it. There are three seperate areas, including a large dog area, small dog area and special needs area. It is all bark in the play areas and there are some tires and obstacles for the dogs as well as places to get water. There is some shade and a few places to sit. Not all dogsor people are always well behaved; it's up to you to pay attention and use common sense. The park itself is lovely and definitely worth trying out. read more

Really liked this one. Small dog area, large dog area, AND a fenced off "I have a challenging dog" section. Loved the wood chips, so it wasn't muddy after all the rain we've been having. Lots of shade. Lots of poop bags. We were the furtherest from the gate area we could get when my dog did a # 2. We brought bags, but it was with our bag not near by. Hubs said he'd walk to gate and get one. Then I pointed out a bag dispenser hanging on the fence near us. YES! Making it easy to pick up after our pets. Still didn't like people's dogs growling and snapping at my dog. For the most part they were quick to get after them, but still! You shouldn't be in here. Found an adorable German Shepard pup who played nicely and the two ran and ran together. read more

RRUFF Dog park has a special needs area for event that is in use on a regular basis. Haven Dog Rescue has an adoption event on the third Saturday of the month and we will likely do the fourth Saturday too in 2019. The dogs enjoy this and tend to learn a lot from the experience and many of the locals stop in to interact. We love this meeting place for our rescue dogs. read more

I totally recommend this place.! I absolutely love love this place! Okie... so there's two skateboard/scooter where people Can go practice their skills. A giant giant field with grass where people play frisby . BBQ/Pinic Table. Playground and swings for kids. Okie! That was a mouth full but here we go with the actual dog park; dog park, yes I said it twice. So... there are three dog pens. Each have a giant bowl for water and two mini pool for the dogs to play in the water. The first one on the left is first come first serve usually saved for first timer dogs that needs to get used to the dog pen. I took my dog there for the first time and let him off leash so he can run around and get used to the pence concept. Then the middle pen is for the smaller dogs or puppies. I have a 8 months old husky/Sheppard. He's larger than what's consider small Dog so I took him to the third pen where all the big boys play. My dog is supper loud so he comes off intimating. This is our winter "go to". The wood chip surface keeps the mud to a minimum even during the dampest weather. Both the Big and Small dog areas are large and well fenced. There is fresh water, shade trees, and benches. The dogs there seem to be well mannered for the most part. We have been going with a 5 month old puppy and she has been having a BLAST! tail starts wagging as soon as the park comes in view! read more

Beautiful dog park, one of the best dog park I have been to. It has obstacle courses and plenty of space and scenery is nice. Let me tell you why I rated two stars. The am people are snobby as hell! They do not pay attention to their dogs and see how their dogs are interacting with others. There to busy socializing and talking about their erotica book. I have 8 month old female golden retriever. When we enter the gate at least five dogs try to welcome her by smelling and licking her. About five minutes of greeting I notice there was a bigger dog biting my dog aggressively I yelled asking who dog this and somebody had to get the dog and notify the owner who was not paying attention to their dog. The owner response was your dog is to submissive and the audacity to say my dog needs obedient training!!!!! You have been worn the a.m crowd is more concerned about socializing instead of watching their dogs. It's a shame because it's a beautiful park. read more

It was my puppy's first dog park. He is a rescue with anxiety. We were in the small dog area. It was not crowded and it was a nice space for him to interact with other dogs. There were dog waste bags, which was perfect since we left ours at home. There was a hose and lots of shades and benches. There was also a small agility area. The wood chips were a nice touch. The other dog owners were friendly. It was such a nice park will definitely bring my pup again. read more

This dog park has it's pros and cons. Pro's: 1. It's a beautiful park surrounded by gorgeous mature trees which provide plenty of shade. It's very well taken care of and people seem to clean up after their pets. It's also a fairly large park so if gives dogs their own little areas to be in. 2. There's a small dog and big dog section, both have the same holding area, but both have 2 gates so if your dog runs out, he/she won't get out of the park. There is a lot of seating and it's not cheapy plastic seating either. There's a small plastic dog pool and buckets with water for tired thirsty pooches. Cons: 1. Parking is a walk away. Our dog is a spazz. He could tell we were going to a dog park and he pulled us in excitement the entire way there. Normally this would just be annoying, but when you have to walk right past a kids playing area with little kids running and chasing each other, this path can turn dangerous with the wrong dog. I hope this gets taken into consideration and a parking area is added in the other side of the park. 2. Maybe it was just the time that we went but all of the big dogs in the park just hung out. None were really up to playing with our dog who's whole purpose in life is to play. It was disappointing to see and not what I'm used to at a dog park. All in all, it's worth checking out! read more

One of the better dog parks in the Roseville/Rocklin area. There's lots of shade (temperature is slightly cooler) bigger, cleaner, and it's all bark, therefore their poops are easier to clean up There's a kiddie pool and a playground area towards the back for dogs. I prefer this park because there's more roaming space for dogs and I have yet to witness a dog fight; people and their dogs here are respectful and nice, which is a plus. It was hard to find at first, because it's all the way in the back past the frisbee golf area so it's a bit of a walk (it feels like it when it is ridiculously hot outside). read more

This dog park is fantastic! There are poo bags all over the place so you're never too far from one. There are big trees so it never gets too hot, even when it's 90 degrees outside. There are great benches if you want to sit. I'd recommend this park to anyone. We have two dogs, a 22-lb spaniel mix and a 25-lb Formosa mix puppy. They love the park and will spend over an hour running around sniffing, playing, etc. We bring them to the small dog side every time...we tried them on the big dog side and they were both terrified. This leads into my one issue with the park, and it's not really an issue with the park itself: WAY too many people bring their small dogs to the big dog side. It's REALLY frustrating when my puppy is whining at the fence wanting to play with another puppy who is about her size. I've seen a French Bulldog over there. I've seen a Chihuahua over there. In the top review on here, Vivian says she took her small dog to the big dog side because the big dogs seemed more playful. Here's the thing: my dogs LOVE to play with other dogs, but if the other dogs aren't open to playing, they'll leave them alone. You can't know if they're playful unless you bring your dog over there. If your dog is playful and comes to the small dog side, my dogs will run around all over the place playing with it. A couple days ago our puppy spent about 45 minutes playing chase back and forth with a Labradoodle/Goldendoodle/Somethingdoodle puppy who was probably 5-10 pounds heavier than her. If your dog is small, PLEASE bring it to the small dog side...my dogs will be forever grateful! read more

This place is really well maintained and has a lot of really great features! Great Things: 1. Agility Training: there's some tires and a ramp for doggies to jump on and through. 2. Pool and Hose: for those unbearably hot days 3. Bags and Trash Bins: for when your pup just gotta, gotta go right now 4. I love this dog park, I come here every day with my siberian husky. However today ( 7/02/2021) I had a different experience. The people who clean the dog park benches came around at 9:55am. Im assuming these are just volunteers and I understand why these specific cleaners dont take their volunteer work all too seriously. Anyways my dog had gone #2 so i left my bag on the bench to go pick it up then on my way back to the bench I see the man and woman walking away from my bench but my bag is on the bark? I feel like they could have cleaned around it, or asked me to move it quickly as they saw i had been sitting here for 10 minutes. It was rude and no ones purse should be face down on the bark where many many dogs have either urinated or defecated. Please just do better and respect peoples belongings more? Every other time people have come to clean benches and Ive left my bag on the bench, they typically clean around it. Its just a respect kinda thing. read more

OMG - best dog park we've been to in QUITE SOME TIME. I love that the dog park is made of bark, NOT grass, so even after a heavy rain - it is open and there's no gross muddiness. Furthermore, there's built in benches - rather than just a bunch of broken, dirty plastic chairs, so there is plenty of space to sit. There's also so much shade! Seriously everything you would want in a dog park - this place has it! Also - we came here for the first time yesterday and spent over 2 hours - we allowed our 18 pound frenchton on the big dog side (the dogs were more active and playful there) and didn't encounter one issue - it was wonderful! All the dogs and owners were great - and our Rutledge had such a wonderful time! I think this will be a regular weekend affair - just a wonderful atmosphere and SO many dogs and owners there :) read more

Update to my original review: My small dog, a 15 lb. Cairn Terrier, didn't like the bark used in this park. She would not walk in it. It was made up of the branches, etc that had been trimmed or fallen from the park's trees and shrubs and had been put through a chipper. Some of it was large, sharp and stuck to the dog's coat. We visited a few weeks ago and noticed they have started to change the type of bark used in the dog park. Its no longer the stuff that comes straight out of a tree/brush chipper. As a the old bark disintegrates with age, they are slowly adding in a uniform landscaping bark that is much better for the small dogs. Nice! They have also made improvements to the "Special Needs" area that is used for classes and for timid or other dogs who may not do well in the regular areas. They added a shade structure, concrete sidewalk for wheelchair access and fake grass. My dog loves it and we use it when no one else is needing it. I was told the special needs area is also used for classes including veterans in wheelchairs who are training therapy/service dogs. I've been to more area dog parks and this is by far the cleanest and the people are the friendliest. read more

This is the best dog park we've been to, ever. They use bark instead of dirt/grass, so there's not a lot of dust kicked up, and even if it's just rained, there's no massive puddles for your dog to get filthy in (your dog will still get dirty from rolling around with other dogs, but you can brush the dust off their fur easily enough). There's a small dog area and a large dog area, along with a shade structure covered third area for training, or special needs dogs. It's AWESOME that they did this, as there are lots of large dogs that don't get along with small dogs, and vice versa. Our puppy is only 55 pounds, but she's 55 pounds of crazy rough and tumble. She does much better with dogs who are her size or larger, and so we love the large dog area. That said there are a few things that could be improved upon: - Larger signs with the dog etiquette rules. It's a dog park, scuffles will happen. We were just there the other day and someone's 9 months old socially awkward puppy got a bit ganged up on. All of the owners leapt to the rescue and pulled their dogs off, and the puppy had a minor scrape/gash on it's ear that wasn't even bleeding, but the owners were freaked out and started blaming other owners and their dogs. I get it, your dog is your baby - mine is my baby too, but there's a sign that says 'enter at your own risk, and don't blame others for dog fights'. I think the sign should be much larger than the small 8.5x11 it was printed at, to force people to read it and re-think going inside if they aren't willing to let dog park scuffles (that will and do happen) go. - A few more benches or chairs to move around the perimeter, as when there's more than a handful of dogs, seating gets limited where the dogs tend to hang out most. Other than that, I love this place, and so does our super energetic pit/boston terrier mix. We try to go often, but it is a drive from our house in Sacramento (sadly). read more

He loves being able to see all of the dogs and the organization is super friendly when calling to coordinate and discuss volunteer work. Super supportive and a great place to hang out with your pets! I really wanted to like this dog park. The dogs were great, the property was clean, my dog had fun. The people though, not the brightest dog people I've ever met. Some one called my dog aggressive and was being a bully (he was playing a little rough with another puppy) told me I wasn't watching my dog (I always watch him, cause I don't trust other people's dogs) told me my dog bit their dog (they were playing rough and making some noises I'm not stupid!) and then they proceeded to scare him away from their dog (I was furious! My dog was a stray and has lost trust in people only to have this ass hole try and scare him away!!!) Sorely disappointed in humans. read more
