The nature around the park
Susan D.

Absolutely amazing experience at RRUFF Dog Park. Our Luna made fur friends, and we humans made human friends. The people and the dogs were absolutely wonderful. Attentive, friendly, an absolute joy. No one was focused on their phones, or other things. Everyone was engaged and observant. There are wonderful walking trails around the park. Frisbee golf, etc...

Yay, there's shade to hang out in and watch your pooch run!

Such a fun, clean, big and shaded dog park. My friend and I met here with our big dogs and they loved it!! There's a thick layer of smooth soft bark all over the inside of the dog park. There's plenty of room for your pooch to run and play and get exhausted. There's benches to sit and watch your dog, there's a cute little doggie "pool"if you wanted to fill it up or just use it as a big water source. By far my favorite dog park.

It's ridiculous that people are rating this park two stars because of the patrons...That is like giving a brand new movie theatre one star because someone talked during the movie you saw. This park is great and we need more like it. There are three seperate areas, including a large dog area, small dog area and special needs area. It is all bark in the play areas and there are some tires and obstacles for the dogs as well as places to get water. There is some shade and a few places to sit. Not all dogsor people are always well behaved; it's up to you to pay attention and use common sense. The park itself is lovely and definitely worth trying out.

Gorgeous park! Went there mid-day on a Saturday and no one was there but my pups still had lots of fun running around.

Awesome dog park! They have a large dog & small dog separate area.. they also have a "Special Needs / Therapy " dog area. We have a 3 lb dog and the special needs area was great. She was able to play without bigger dogs intimidating her.

This is the only dog park I take my two dogs to! It's extremely well maintained and owners and dogs are great! Completely fenced large area for dogs to run around and the owners and caretakers are so nice and caring! Absolutely recommend for puppies, small dogs, older dogs, and extra large/large dogs!

We stopped by here with our yellow lab on our way home from Nevada. What a wonderful surprise to see the entire dog park filled with beautiful yellow labs! Beautiful park, we definitely will be back

She sleeps for hours after her playtime at the park

Excellent, clean, large park with two separate sides. We only take our little dog to the small dog park side and she is obsessed with it! Set in beautiful scenery in a huge park.

Great dog park except no grass but it still is nice enough. I've really only seen one or two better parks

Ask the Community - Rruff Healing Heroes

What's the cutoff for small dog vs large dog at this park?

30 lbs or less for small dogs.

Is this open during COVID? (4/28/20)? I heard a rumor that Rocklin parks were open. Roseville parks are closed.

Yes, it is open. Closed down for about 4 days only and then reopened. Supposedly you need to bring your own poop bags and water, but as of this weekend the water was back on, too. The dog park in Auburn is also open (went there today).

Since there's no…read moreoff leash dog beaches nearby, a clean off leash dog park is the next good option to keep her in tune with her K-9 social behavior. This off leash area is fully fenced and double gated. Mature trees around and inside the fenced area. It's a single play area not split between larger and smaller dogs. It is clean, people seem to pick up after their pup, and the few times we've been here, it hasn't been crowded. Today, we brought our fur child and our fur grandchild to meet up with a friends fur child - they'll be spending some long hours together in the near future and need to get familiar with each others (butts) .. personalities. There were the three small dogs and then another few showed up .. all small dogs on this Sunday morning. One large lab appeared with his owner and small pup sibling. The surrounding park area (ball fields) are wide open spaces and if your pup is mindful and doesn't stray too far, you could have a full run of the park (but technically, that area is not off leash .. wink wink). Very happy with this off leash area.

We had to carry our Great Pyrenees to our car because he had at least 5 in all four paws. Would not come back here

We spent a couple of hours at this park this afternoon/evening and I have to say that the reviews…read moreon this page are absolutely ridiculous. I am shocked that out of 11 reviews, this park currently has a 2.9 star rating. It deserves much better. This is a beautiful, well-maintained park that has walking paths, tennis courts, playgrounds, basketball courts, soccer fields, a dog park and more! There is plentiful parking and clean public restrooms as well. Many of the bad reviews are for the dog park and they are elitest and embarrassing. The dog park is a reasonable size, with an area for large dogs and a separate area for small dogs, PLUS an additional dog run area. There is plenty of space. There are so many ridiculous complaints in these reviews that I have second hand embarrassment for the authors. I mean there is actually a complaint that there was some mud and that dogs need "luxury". There are literally raised water bowls, benches and doggie bags provided. There is also a bench with an adorable dog sculpture. There was a hypothetical complaint that a dog "could" jump a fence but you shouldn't be bringing unruly, unsocialized dogs you cannot control or are unwilling to watch to a dog park anyway. Smh. We enjoyed the dog park, the people, the nature walk we did and we appreciated that when it started to get dark, the fields and facilities were well lit. There were lots of people and families enjoying this space so please don't let these terrible reviews sway you from stopping here. Any reasonable person would have a perfectly lovely time here. We certainly did.
