    Dog Park Rules

I came with my dog Cora to the Saugstad Dog Park on a Saturday morning around 8:30-9:00am. We were surprised to see only one other dog at the park (a Labrador) but the park isn't separated into small and large dogs so we decided to walk around the regular park while the bigger dog finished. I had to deduct one star for the park not being separated; my smaller dog doesn't do very well with larger ones. They scare her. The dog park is a really good size, enough for small to large dogs to run around and play with two tables with chairs for the humans to sit at. They also have a trash can inside, bags for dog poop cleanup and a bucket for water. My favorite part of this dog park was that it was in the middle of a bunch of mature trees so the majority of it was shaded most of the time. Cora and I will definitely be back to this dog park. It's big, shaded, and less crowded than other parks. For those with small children it's also located right next to the kids play area and a group of tables so the kids can play the same time as the dogs and you can watch both.

No small dog section. This park is simple. The grass is green, there is plenty of shade and it has the basics, including a water bucket and poo bags. It's lacking in a few areas. There is limited parking and you can't see the actual park from the parking area. The actual park has limited seating. There is one bench on the far end of the park and some benches outside the fence of the park. The biggest downside is that it doesn't have a small dog area. While I was there, not many dogs showed up but of the dogs that did, two were large and a bit obnoxious without the owners being able to control them. We ended up leaving because my lil man was being tormented by a curious big guy. He wasn't aggressive, he just needed some big dogs to play with and possibly some additional training from his owner. Overall, if I lived next door to this place I may pop in while walking my dog, otherwise there are plenty of other parks to explore to take a chance on this place again.

Doesn't smell like a dog park! Awesome! This is definitely a nice dog park if your canine companion does well with dogs of all breeds, sizes and ages. There isn't a separate area for little/large dogs, just about 1.5 acres at the far end of the park. It's right next to a children's playground and restrooms. We went on a Saturday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised at finding several other dogs. My little girl plays well with everyone so i wasn't too concerned about her behavior, but it's still the best idea to keep them on leash until you can assess how everyone will interact. Bring a chair. The tables are at the entrance, making it a little difficult to keep an eye on your dog. There are buckets for water and courtesy poop bags. Take your dog on an on-leash walk around the rest of the park before letting them run around in the dog area.

This is a nice dog park. It's difficult to find - which makes it slightly less crowded and a good place to meetup with friends. It's hidden behind the bathrooms, next to the baseball field - so unless you know it's there - and get out of your car and go look for it from the parking lot - you would not know it exists. It's good for parents as there's a kid's playground immediately next to the fenced area, so if you position yourself correctly, you can keep an eye on your kids on the swings and your dog. The downside of that is -- obviously some folks may not do both....but I haven't seen that issue when I've been there. The area is grassy and doesn't get as muddy as some other parks in Roseville like Bear Park - so we like to go here when the weather isn't cooperating. There are some chairs to hang out and chat - and bathrooms (although no doors on the female stalls), which is nice. Friendly folks - nice dogs.

Came on a day and time when we had the dog park to our selves! Beautiful park, quiet place, clean (other thank a couple of poop piles). Very nice.

Great park! Super clean and lots of green space and trees for shade. The park is opened till 10pm but there is no lighting for after dark.

This was the second dog park on our dog park tour! We arrived around 10:00 AM with our puppies. I brought my 7-month-old pup, and my friend brought her 5-month-old boy, who was even smaller than my dog but much more outgoing and social. Overall, I'd give the park 3 stars. The park has separate areas for small and large dogs, which I really appreciated since both dogs are young and small. The small dog section was surprisingly spacious, with a mix of grass and pea gravel, plenty of shade from mature trees, poop bags available, and even a shaded kiddie pool area set up by some of the regulars. There were also lots of lawn and patio chairs, which made it comfortable for owners to sit and socialize. There seemed to be a group of regulars there, mostly in their late 50s to 70s, and everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. All of the dogs we encountered were well-behaved and friendly too, which made for a great experience. It was fun seeing the difference in our puppies' personalities. My friend's pup was eager to meet everyone, while mine was a bit more reserved and preferred to explore. My biggest complaint is actually that the small dog area was almost too large. With a fast, energetic 7-month-old puppy, it was difficult to keep track of him at times. There are several heavily treed areas where dogs can disappear from view, and some spots were hard to access. While I appreciated all the shade, some of these areas felt a little overgrown and poorly maintained. The park also could use some additional upkeep. There were an agility obstacle, but it had standing water on it, and I noticed some dog poop that hadn't been picked up. Later, after the regulars left and we had the park to ourselves, we explored a picnic table near the back fence that sits behind a line of bushes. Unfortunately, we found several cigarette butts on the ground in that area. Overall, C-Bar-C Dog Park is a good neighborhood dog park, especially if you're looking for something convenient and close by. Since it's only a few minutes from my parents' house, I would definitely return, but I do wish the park was maintained a little better.

I am shocked that out of 11 reviews, this park currently has a 2.9 star rating. It deserves much better. This is a beautiful, well-maintained park that has walking paths, tennis courts, playgrounds, basketball courts, soccer fields, a dog park and more! There is plentiful parking and clean public restrooms as well. Many of the bad reviews are for the dog park and they are elitest and embarrassing. The dog park is a reasonable size, with an area for large dogs and a separate area for small dogs, PLUS an additional dog run area. There is plenty of space. There are so many ridiculous complaints in these reviews that I have second hand embarrassment for the authors. I mean there is actually a complaint that there was some mud and that dogs need "luxury". There are literally raised water bowls, benches and doggie bags provided. There is also a bench with an adorable dog sculpture. There was a hypothetical complaint that a dog "could" jump a fence but you shouldn't be bringing unruly, unsocialized dogs you cannot control or are unwilling to watch to a dog park anyway. Smh. We enjoyed the dog park, the people, the nature walk we did and we appreciated that when it started to get dark, the fields and facilities were well lit. There were lots of people and families enjoying this space so please don't let these terrible reviews sway you from stopping here. Any reasonable person would have a perfectly lovely time here. We certainly did.
