Just moved to the neighborhood. My son went here for his morning coffee. Oh by the way he's Italian. He stood and waited to place the order but no one would get up from a table. He then said, a man decided after a while to get up and service my son. My son realized that the man was annoyed and made many comments while making his coffee in Italian. A woman came out of the back and seems to confront his Italian remarks. My son paid $5 and threw in the trash. Went to Starbucks. This place lost all my Italian families that visit. read more

The woman working the counter treated the two of us like we were an annoyance. We had coffee and a gelato, which were okay, but not worth the $17 it cost. Visit Date: 12/28/2019 Hubs and I came here with some friends to celebrate another friend's birthday. We had a great time. The atmosphere was friendly and a little homey. I had a cappuccino by Angela, who is regularly behind the counter serving up espressos, cappuccinos and different desserts. She made an amazing cappuccino, I loved it. Hubs had gelato, we got gelato for our son but he didn't want to eat it, later he asked us for the "big Sundae" which was 3 year old speak for that champagne glass of cake, pudding and whipped cream lol. He ate half the "big Sundae" and seemed to like the whipped cream part the best. Since My place closed down if your'e in this area and looking for a good espresso beverage I'd recommend coming to Cafe Gondola. read more

If you're after great quality espresso in Massapequa, this is THE place. No frills little cafe, smells strongly of smoke, older Italian men hanging out, TV in the corner. They were showing the Eurocup Final while I was there. Gelato on offer as well, and soft drinks in the fridge. Don't expect an almond milk latte, or caramel mocha with whipped cream- you'll have to go to one of the big chains for that sort of stuff. What they do here, they do very well! read more

Had an espresso there almost nightly. Love sitting outside in my old home town. Had many friends that lived very close. Same block as my fave pizza place which is now closed. Mom used to shop at italian pork store a block away. Mostly older italian guys that live in massapequa. Great meeting spot. Amazing service and awesome homemade gelato! The main flavors (chocolate and pistachio) really stood out. Perfectly balanced with right amount sweetness, creaminess and texture. The mango flavor was also yummy. Have to come back and try the others. read more

I just stopped here for coffee after eating at the brick oven pizza place down the block. There's usually a group of older Italian gents sitting in front of the place but don't let them deter you from stopping in to have coffee or dessert. I am picky when it comes to coffee but the coffee they served me was made fresh and was delicious!! I didn't get to try there other items but they have great coffee. read more

A little disappointed with the coffee at this place. Not sure if it was an off day but we ordered 2 iced coffees, one with milk and one black. They were so strong we could not even drink them. Tasted like the entire cup was espresso. We even added more of our own milk and nothing helped. Had to throw them away :/ there's $10 ill never see again! read more

If you know what I am talking about you will love this place, if you don't know what I'm talking about you should probably stay away. Amazing gelato but EXPENSIVE! $9.00 for a medium cup of gelato? C'mon, I think it's pretty pricey. You walk in and you feel like you're in Italy; the tablecloths, decor etc. I always see the same group of men sitting outside smoking cigars. The owner reminds me of my grandfather; I guess you can you say I get a family feel for the place. The only problem I had was that they shouldn't put a guy who only speaks Italian at the front.
