Stopped by New York Beanery with the hubby and ordered a few items. The Iced Blueberry Matcha and Iced Coconut Matcha Latte were good. They had a strong matcha flavor, which was great, but needed more of the coconut and blueberry flavors. We needed both drinks to be sweeter... next visit, I just might go for the Coconut Ube Latte. The Ground Central Egg Sandwich and the Village Special Panini were tasty. Both sandwiches were full of flavor, and toasted exactly how I like it, light, crunchy, and hot. Lastly, the Blueberry Muffin was fresh and oh so delicious that we ended up ordering two more to go. I'll definitely return to try some more menu items. I've been trying to get to this coffee spot for awhile now. I finally made it.... It's a quaint little coffee shop in Amityville, if you don't pay attention tku might miss the parking lot. Walked in and was immediately greeted by a worker, who was also making another customers order. I looked around taking everything in, and checking the menu to see what I wanted to order. I finally had the chance to visit the New York Beanery, and I already can't wait to go back. Pete was incredibly kind and patient, offering great suggestions for both food and matcha since it was my first time there. As a matcha lover, I took his recommendation to try the brown sugar matcha--and it absolutely did not disappoint. I ordered the avocado toast (I believe it was the California) and really enjoyed it. I also tried a bite of my best friend's panini, which was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The ambiance is cozy, relaxing, and perfect for a casual date or catch-up. Highly recommend! read more

Food was overpriced. The iced coffee had no coffee taste, except for the bitter taste of coffee when it's sitting old. And you kind of get attitude from the barista when asking if they could replace it or remake it. Two breakfast sandwiches and two horrible iced coffees and it came to $46. First time finally trying here, I would go back but not a daily thing. I got a small vanilla honey iced latte that is so good. It's not over sweet and can taste the espresso. I also got the empire panini, which was also tasty but small. It was wrapped for like 10 minutes before I ate it and got soggy quick. I feel like it also should have full pieces of grilled chicken rather than cubed, to add to height. visual isn't super appealing but again flavor was great, I am definitely full. I would say the two of these together are more worth like $15 rather than the $20 something it came out to. Staff was pretty nice, not overwhelming and handled the rush well. Overall 8/10! read more

The coffee options are awesome! There's a really good amount of options to choose from. They have seasonal menu items so that's always fun. The parking kinda stinks but you should be able to find some street parking. Everyone inside is super nice they can help edit any order to your liking. They have more than coffee too. This little coffee shop has a difficult parking situation. It's a bit confusing where to turn in. Once in, you'll find a rustic, small shop with a friendly staff. They were willing to make me a coffee that wasn't on the menu list (flat white). The coffee is medium to strong with solid cups but flimsy lids. While I didn't eat here the table next to me told me the food was very good. A nice coffee experience that is worth stopping by for. read more

We found this gem on IG and took a chance on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Upon entering, first thing one does is look up to the menu on the board. First thing we noticed, no prices. No prices on the menu either. When we asked one of the staff, she didn't know the prices either. I thought that odd. What distracted us was the cacophony of sandwiches, paninis, breakfast offerings. I settled for a turkey club panini. Good choice. I also ordered a Mango Bubble Tea. Sooo good. Especially, chomping on the Bobba tapioca beans. And the piece de resistance, the crumb caaaaaake!!! It was filling and buttery. I could not finish my sandwich and cake. My gal pal who accompanied me ordered the chicken bacon ranch panini. She ate all hers. The food arrived warm and quickly, but without utensils. Another oddity. I had to ask for them. I guess you don't need a fork to eat a sandwich. But still. Not crowded on this rainy Saturday, but people were coming in and out. Music was soft in the background. The three ladies behind the counter, worked efficiently and quietly. I know the macarons was about $5.25 because I asked. I'd give 4 stars if there were prices posted. Boba texture was a on the firm side, but the drinks tasted good. Soooooo good! Closed on Mondays, a lot of parking in the back, tables both inside and outside, and really nice atmosphere, as well as a clean setting. My s'mores iced latte was marshmallow and mocha and was delicious. Food came out super quick and really well made. Staff was very nice and patient, kid friendly ( they were very sweet to my toddler as he picked out his muffin ). Lots of different menu items and pricing was very reasonable. I recently ordered from New York Beanery as a way to support a local, growing business that seems to have decent reviews across delivery services and online media platforms. I ordered something plainly simple so I can try out both their pastries and iced coffee, without having to spend over $20 for one order, though my total amount did come very close to that. I decided to buy their "Cookie Crunch Latte" with a single brownie to go with it, and was pleasantly surprised by how neatly wrapped and secured everything was when it was delivered to me, including the brownie that was wrapped in plastic that I'm assuming was a way to retain freshness and moisture. The coffee tasted a bit off as I did notice that all the sugar content and, what I'm assuming were cookie bits, sank to the bottom of the cup. The coffee itself tasted mediocre and a bit watery, and it was a true pain to spend almost 5 minutes stirring the sunken contents at the bottom of the cup to give the coffee the sugar it was evidently missing, even though I requested my coffee to be made with extra (more) sugar. When the contents were finally evenly mixed, I took a lengthy sip and was disappointed when the taste didn't really change all the much and most of the sugar was coming from the whipped cream that was already slowly melting into my drink. After being slightly disappointed with the coffee, I opened my neatly wrapped brownie, in attempts to save my less than satisfactory experience with my drink. The brownie---to my surprise---was delicious and decadent. Whether the plastic was solely for the delivery or for the purpose of maintaining freshness, it definitely eliminated the occasional dryness and chalkiness that some pastries can have. The brownie mixed with the "watery" coffee, made the overall score of my order way higher and effectively gave the coffee the flavor/sugar it was desperately missing. Overall, a great experience but due to the cost of my order despite how small it was, I will not be ordering from this business again unless I feel up to ordering another delicious brownie (which I very much recommend!). I want to love it here! Having passed this place for years, I was always curious. Stumbled upon an instagram post of their Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte & knew it was time to go. I have been visiting for months now, sometimes as often as 5 days a week. I do believe loyalty & continued support should count for something. Consistency is not really a thing here so I have been reduced to sticking with what I love and hoping to love it on that given day. They offer a couple different options for Matcha Lattes. Most notable are the Lavender & Strawberry. They offer milk alternatives & I usually opt for Oat milk. New York Beanery absolutely offers a superior Matcha Latte!!! This makes it difficult to enjoy a Matcha Latte anywhere else. I have tried Classic New Yorker & other Egg Sandwich menu items as well. My sister is a big fan of their Grilled Cheese with Bacon. Their menu also features Acai bowls which we have not yet tried. They have baked goods, both sweet & savory. During the warmer months they have an outdoor seating area/tent. Tried the Highland Panini as well which was another disgrace to the state of New York. When I asked if they would kindly switch out the burrito for a small açaí bowl, I was told they would not exchange food or refund it. It took me 3 tries to even speak with the manager as she kept sending out a poor waitress to face the music. Have been wanting to try this place since they opened and finally got a chance. I appreciated them letting us call and pay ahead by credit card. I had the iced rainbow cookie latte and my husband had the strawberry banana smoothie. The rainbow cookie latte tasted just like a rainbow cookie! I've never had a latte like that. They offer different milk options so I had mine with oat milk. My husband enjoyed his smoothie and said it was refreshing on a hot summer day. Safe to say I was glad to have picked this coffee shop over any other in the area as the service was quick as can be, all covid protocols were being followed and most importantly the food and bev were delish! I kept it simple with an iced latte because if a coffeehouse can't get that right, I dont even want to think about what else is wrong. The coffee was tasty, well balanced and just enough ice to ensure that it was cold but I wasnt getting cheated portion wise. Food wise I opted for the spicy BLT which hit the spot just right. The açaí bowl was only 1/2 filled, the açaí was freezer burned and quickly melted into a watery mess. The fruit was chopped into tiny, flavorless pieces. I asked for a Nutella add on and got a big dollop of some kind of firm chocolate spread in the middle - definitely did not have the hazelnut flavor or smooth texture of Nutella. I also ordered a latte, which was good, but way too much foam. More of a cappuccino than a latte, but the flavor was good.
