Best of all, they're scrupulously honest. Case in point. I thought I had break problems as the car was making a squeal when I applied the brakes and later on it had a rubbing noise while driving. Called them and yes, they could have had me brought the car to them and charged me for a break job I didn't need. But no. The problem was a simple issue which I resolved myself with their guidance. On another case, I had a puncture in one of the exhaust pipes. It would have been simple for them to have an entire exhaust repair. Instead, I was pointed to a repair place nearby where they were able to do some precision welding for a fraction of what it could have cost. Their service orientation is above par. Devon and Gage are able to provide superb support even in the middle of the busiest days. Unflappable people. They do have AAA discounts too. Best yet, they support veteran causes and that is an added star in my book. We use them for everything related to our vehicles. Superb members of our community, superb professionals, superb people.

Avoid S & P Auto at All Costs - Predatory Pricing and Terrible Customer Service…read more If I could give zero stars, I would. My daughter's car was towed a mere 7.2 miles from New London, NH to S & P Auto in Andover on a Saturday. When a friend attempted to retrieve the vehicle, they were told it would cost $800 to release it. Yes, you read that right--$800 for a short tow and two days of storage. When I called to get an explanation of the charges, I was met with a dismissive attitude and told, "We deal with the insurance company, not the customer." I explained that we weren't planning to go through insurance--and that's when they hit me with the breakdown: a tow charge, a mysterious "labor" charge (which couldn't be clearly explained), and daily holding fees. When I asked what the "labor" charge was for--wasn't that part of the tow fee?--the person on the phone simply said it was "for the driver." To add insult to injury, she told me, "If you hadn't been in an accident, you wouldn't be in this predicament." Completely unprofessional and utterly tone-deaf. In the end, I had no choice but to involve my insurance company. Even they were shocked--my representative said they don't see these kinds of inflated fees in Boston or New York, let alone rural New Hampshire. This is nothing short of price gouging, and it's clear that S & P Auto is more interested in squeezing every possible dollar out of a situation than in offering fair, honest service. Make no mistake--this isn't just about the insurance company footing the bill. Predatory pricing like this eventually affects the customer through higher premiums. Companies like S & P Auto don't care about that. They're out to take advantage of people in stressful situations. Terrible service. Outrageous pricing. Avoid this business at all costs.

I knew there was a repair shop by the Irving gas station so i headed over there. I explained my situation and also stressed i only have one vehicle. He said he was working on a car and would look at my tire as soon as he could. I was there about 2 1/2 hours, Scott even showed me where the issue was on the bead. He fixed it, i paid my bill, and was on my way home, too late for the meeting. Very knowledgeable and kind spoken. To this day i use his services. I even made an appointment to have the other 3 tires checked for any issues. So for the gal that got dropped off, i would have called for road assistance with AAA, or another place, that is why we have insurance.

Also the hills of New Hampshire amplified the slight warp in my rotors significantly. The glowing reviews and a verbal recommendation from a customer at O'Reilly's Auto Parts led me to this garage. Upon calling, I was advised to get the truck in at the earliest convenience. I left it with them, and within 30 minutes, received the diagnosis - a bad bearing, faulty rotors, which I had suspected, and ball joints too unsafe for the return trip. The quote provided was $2500. Without too many options, I approved the repairs, which surprisingly were completed on the same day. I was pleased to pay the bill, even adding a $50 tip for the mechanic responsible for the repair. I was truly grateful for their prompt service. However, after leaving, I noticed the noise that initially led me to suspect a bearing problem hadn't been resolved. I decided to get it checked by my local mechanic. Upon examining the invoice, I noticed that I had paid $1402.08 for parts - significantly higher than the less than $600 cost if I had purchased them myself from any Advance Auto Parts store, even opting for premium grade parts. Nonetheless, this is not a complaint, and my 5-star rating reflects my appreciation for their prioritization of my situation over their other waiting customers. They truly went above and beyond in providing service.
