I initially found this company while looking for firewood in the fall. I've had a dying tree that I…read morewas hoping would turn around. When the wood was delivered, Shane gave me a price on the tree removal and I couldn't pull the trigger. To his credit, he followed up with me a few times and eventually sent me a direct mail piece in the Spring. Spring revealed that this tree was dead and needed to be removed so the timing was perfect. Due to his follow up, I decided he earned my business and called for a quote. Within a couple hours he was at my home and gave me a very fair estimate to remove the tree, leave the wood, and haul away the brush. Today the came out and did exactly that and more! These guys are true professionals. They climbed the tree, roped off the branches, and gently lowered them to the ground being certain not to hit either of the adjacent houses or damage the lawn. They even took care of a couple dead branches on a neighboring tree while they were within reach. When they were done they spent another ~ 30 minutes cleaning up. They raked all the twigs out of my yard and my neighbors yard. Then the blew the sawdust out of the grass and collected it. Finally they swept up the drive, sidewalk, and the areas around their vehicles and chipper in the street. The concrete areas around our place looked better than before they removed, chopped, and chipped a huge tree. The guys were friendly yet down to business and I appreciated their concern for one another's safety - constantly alerting one another to falling debris and their whereabouts. Tree removal is not a very fun thing to spend money on but I felt good spending my money hiring these hard working, fair, and conscientious professionals. Thanks again!

Shane Hauser is not to be trusted. We foolishly paid him $4500 before our 150 year old tree was…read moretaken down. It was never taken down and after 3 months we had to hire another tree company to take the tree down. He preyed on our our fears of the storms in July, 2017 telling us the tree had to come down NOW/immediately. This was on July 11, 2017. Shane may say that he did not take the tree down because his tree climber was hurt. However this did not happen until August 2017 and he told us on July 12 that the tree had to come down NOW. I had called to follow up for the third time on July 31st to be put on the schedule. Shane said they would be out on August 7th to take the tree down. They were no shows. On September 8th Shane promised to come on September 11th and have the tree down by September using a bucket rather than a climber. He didn't take the tree down then despite multiple promises. We had to pay another tree company to take the tree down which they did on October 25, 2017. Shane changes the name of his businesses because of his actions. I had used him in 2015 with no problems and he was operating under the name of Saul County Tree Care. I am writing this to warn people of his dubious business practices.
