Doctor Russell Ferstandig saved my life. This is a powerful and true statement. I was addicted to…read moreopiates, and was putting myself in dangerous situations, doc shopping etc to get what I needed. I was 100% convinced I didnt have the strength, courage or will power to stop taking opiates. That all changed September 7, 2014, my 1st meeting with Doctor Russ. He immediately put me at ease, spent well over 2 hours understanding my situation, and discussing his process and care he will provide to safely get me off opiates forever. I knew I had finally found the right Doctor as he genuinely cares about his patients and goes to "above and beyond" to ensure their success in overcoming addiction. I had met with 3 different, highly rated Doctors in NYC, who spent 10 minutes with me, prescribed Suboxone, with no further instructions or counseling. Each time I relapsed, and fell further into my addiction Doctor Russ explained his process, and the importance of following it for a successful outcome. Additionally he educated me on Suboxone and how and when to consume for ideal results. He coupled medicine with counseling, which was the key to his success rates. He is very humble, and doesnt share that he has the highest success rates with no relapses. He cares more about helping you understand and overcome the reason that lead to your addiction. As our sessions continued he prescribed and anti-depressant as I was in denial of how much my depression was sabotaging my life. As our sessions continued, I realized, he was dedicated to ensuring not only my success in overcoming my addition, but also rebuilding an enriched life. I find it amazing how he is able to remember and build upon each of our sessions. I thank God every day for Doctor Russ. He listens, never judges, provides guidance to build a great life and never watches the clock. I have gone well over my scheduled hour, and never received additional billing, I have been opiate free for 4 years, and continue weekly sessions as they make me a better person. I am editing to say that their doors are not left open it's a nice private room. The director Nick sends text messages (which you are free to opt out of) just to keep everyone up to date on hours or closing due to weather etc so you don't end up left without care. Dr. Bascelli has the BEST bedside manner, encouraging, uplifting, "WE" can conquer this together and "YOU" can do it attitude! Her office is very clean and the atmosphere is very welcoming! Her staff is VERY professional, friendly, and welcoming to all genders, nationalities, personalities, etc. It's very easy to schedule/cancel/reschedule appointments and you are seen in a timely manner of your appointment time! No matter how you have felt at other addiction facilities you will feel like you have been to this practice many times with comfort and ease to get the supportive help that you most need. The patient rooms are very clean, with comfortable small couches to help you relax and be more yourself in an engaged, motivational and uplifting office visit. Also, they offer individual and group therapy sessions and, probably, other services that I don't know about. There is plenty of parking, handicapped parking too, easy wheelchair access and an elevator. Thank you Dr. Bascelli and staff for providing EXCELLENT healthcare services!!! YES!!!! I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was extremely disappointing…read more I brought my son here for a physical because we were unable to get a timely appointment with his primary care physician. This was truly a last resort, and unfortunately, the visit did not meet even basic expectations. The wait time was excessive, especially for what should have been a straightforward visit. What made the experience even more frustrating was the customer service. When we walked in, the front desk staff did not acknowledge us or offer a simple greeting. Instead, they appeared to be engaged in personal conversations and laughing with one another while patients waited to be assisted. A small gesture like making eye contact or saying, "We'll be with you shortly," would have gone a long way. The overall atmosphere felt disorganized and unwelcoming. As a parent, when you are bringing your child in for medical care, you hope to feel that your time is valued and that the staff is focused on patient care. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. I understand that urgent care centers can become busy, and I try to be patient. However, professionalism, communication, and basic courtesy should remain a priority regardless of how busy the office is. Based on this visit, I cannot recommend this location, and I sincerely hope they improve both their customer service and the overall patient experience.
