They told me not to worry about lab bills and took them from me for 6 months saying they paid them, only to tell me after I racked up hundreds of dollars and received notices from collection agencies, that they made a mistake and don't pay them. When we spoke to the COO he told us that he would pay them ONLY if I dropped out of the program. I did so, and never received a response from them again. I've never wrote a Yelp review in my life ... but this is insanity and disgusting. People are looking for help and to fix their lives and these people hurt them even more. FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GO - do not trust these people.

Family safety concerns were dismissed; serious continuity-of-care failures…read more I am writing from the perspective of a family member of someone who has been admitted to this detox facility multiple times over the past year. Our loved one has a documented history of severe alcohol use disorder, including prior ICU-level detox, a withdrawal seizure, and alcohol-related liver and gastrointestinal damage. Because of this history, continuity of care and accurate medication management are critical. During a prior transition from this detox facility to a rehabilitation facility, seizure medication was not forwarded as part of the discharge or transfer process. As a result, our loved one experienced a seizure shortly after arrival at the rehab facility. This was deeply alarming and raised serious concerns about care coordination and patient safety. Additionally, during a previous admission, our family was informed that our loved one was administered incorrect medication, including medication intended for another patient. Given these experiences, our family attempted to contact the facility during the most recent admission to provide factual medical history and express safety concerns prior to discharge planning. We were told we were "not allowed to call and tell them how to do their job." Calls were not returned, and our concerns were not meaningfully engaged with. We understand that addiction treatment is complex and that patients are often voluntary. However, dismissing family-provided medical history, refusing dialogue, and failing to ensure continuity of critical medications is extremely concerning -- particularly for repeat patients with known, life-threatening withdrawal complications. Families are often the only source of longitudinal information about patterns, relapses, and prior medical emergencies. In our experience, that information was not welcomed here. We hope this facility reflects seriously on its medication reconciliation, discharge coordination, and communication with families, especially when patient safety is clearly at stake.

A very xtra shout out to RN Catherine, Cat, like seriously Cat *hugs* I shattered metacarpals while I was there, bad decision on my part, and without hesitation, after a glance, she had transportation on their way to take me hospital. Having no experience with any of this we put our trust in the treatment facility to guide him in the right direction. Humble Beginnings is very client focused. They helped my son with finding his root issues and have given him the guidance to be able to correct his behavior. The care of the staff is unbelievable, they are kind, knowledgeable, caring and definitely can relate to their patients. From the moment I stepped into their office I knew my son was in the right hands. They genuinely want to help. The program they have at Humble Beginnings is amazing as well as the attention that they give to the families. My son continues to go there and is making great strides in his recovery. There are numerous reasons for needing a psychiatrist. Im very open about mine (mainly anxiety and large amounts of stress from being a single parent and I'm overly emotional - STILL hurt and adjusting to divorced life after 11 1/2 years, plus in general - just who I am . . . !) I am a strong proponent of mental health help and ending the stigma of having mental "illness," a term that I LOATHE! There's a history of anxiety and depression in my family. UGH! I have those, along with insomnia and OCD!!! There is no shame in getting help. "They" equate depression/anxiety, etc., to a Diabetic needed insulin . . . very true. Just do what you have to basically! Having a good psychiatrist in place is so important to your overall health. They track your medication and reactions to it / them. Meds are "tweaked" when necessary. Dr. Talati airs on the cautious side and is definitely NOT "med happy!" In fact, she won't even put me back on Lunesta :( that another doctor had me on. Dr. Talati has helped me tremendously, in addition to my counselor. Having both is the ideal. Her office is very tranquil and private. It's also welcoming. Insurance guidelines change in 2020, so be careful. Lastly, Dr. Talati offers TMS if you're a candidate. Just watch out for those disgusting co-pays!

She will identify where your problem area is and prescribe a medication to address it verses other "doctors" that have asked me, "so what do you want to try?" Then list all the medications out there, which is so wrong. Some medications work well on receptors to release more hormones where others block the uptake. She understands this and explains it. When you see her, just be flexible because she is not always on time since she does have many patients and gives them more time if it's needed. This is also a good thing because she won't cut you off if your time is up. She is genuine.

We were taken back to the doctor to only be sent back as she yelled at her nurse that she wasn't ready and we could just wait. The office was hot, poorly maintained and not at all kid friendly. We walked out and found a place that was night and day from this awful experience (SJ Pediatrics). You could do better by simply pointing to a number in the phone book.
