Most people know Rubins for their corned beef sandwich, which is fantastic. But hubby and I discovered they're open for breakfast too. We decided to give it a try and I have to say, we'll be back. The breakfast are reasonably priced and they taste pretty good. You can also order lattes, espressos & iced coffee drinks. They've actually got quite a few flavors to choose from. They have a display case in the front of cakes & pies that looked super good. I'll definitely go back here and have to try different things.

breakfast servings are amazing and delicious! (fyi: definitely would suggest trying their specialty coffees, absolutely DELICIOUS!!!) the prices were great, the bakery items are from an amazing local bakery, will be back next time i'm in the area for sure!!!

    Meat lovers pizza

I would like to start by saying that we had absolute great service here. The staff is friendly and efficient. The food on the other hand is mediocre at best. We ordered a meat lovers pizza that was dry and the cheese had a very off taste. The sausage on the pizza was banquet frozen breakfast sausage links and the ham looked as if it was thin sliced at the deli. The crust was dry and the pizza was very bland.

$11 for this? Do better! So disappointed.. as a consumer I have many choices and when this is the reward for buying local it's a letdown.

Every now and there I stop by hoping that they've changed. It's apparent that they only take advantage of a loyal yet older clientele base. I don't see a restaurant like this last thing long after it's current patrons expire. To say I'm disappointed with the sandwich would be the understatement of the month. And I want them to do better.

Just as good as the flagship restaurant on Leona Street. Food is excellent and there is even an Arabica coffee shop!

I found this place by chance as I was looking a healthy option for lunch. I parked in the rear of the building and walked inside. I was greeted by the owner, a friendly lady who was very helpful in making suggestions as to the items on the menu (e.g., spinach pie, meat pie, hummus, baba gannouj). Seating is limited to a few tables however the store has ample space with a variety of imported products such as olive oil, cheese, beans, seasoning, and even bottles of soda! After viewing the menu posted on the wall behind the counter, I saw that red lentil soup was available and quickly made up my mind! The soup came out hot in a styrofoam cup and was a balanced savory cascade of flavor - not too thick while not watery. After finishing it not only was I satisfied, but more importantly I was spared the guilt of eating lousy. If you like Middle Eastern food and live in Akron, stop over to Sanabel Bakery and be amazed!

To echo the other reviewers, food was amazing but it really was pricey. I totally understand things are expensive and prices are going up but I was a little aghast when she gave me the total. Menu said it was $13.99 for the lentils and rice special but I was charged $14.99 and it was $2.50 for a small side of hot sauce! That and three spinach pies brought my total to $25. That's a bit outrageous for the amount of food received. That said, everything truly was delicious and the owner was friendly. At least now I know what to expect for next time!
