Ordered takeout on a whim and so glad I did! I ordered the tahini kafta platter with an upgrade to hummus as my side choice (already comes with rice). The hummus' texture was different than other versions I've tried from other middle eastern cuisines, but the flavor was fantastic. As for the platter, WOW, I didn't expect that depth of flavor. One of the best Mediterranean dishes I've had. I also tried the garlic sauce - absolutely reeking of garlic (how I like it) and hot sauce (meh - too mild). Too much salt in the soup and the lamb stew and grape leaves. As far as the grape leaves-- the restaurant charged us for lamb when we got vegetarian. The flat bread tasted as if they left it on the counter for 4 days. I was fooled by the reviews. It was such a dissapointment. read more

Based on the high reviews, we came here for dinner. I ordered the mixed grill platter. It came with soup (lentil or chicken noodle), which is self serve. The platter came with a beef kabab skewer, a shish tawook skewer (chicken), lamb kafta, rice, and garlic sauce. It was a big platter, but I was quite hungry and managed to finish it. The chicken and lamb were a bit dry, but I enjoyed the beef. The garlic sauce went well with the meats. Overall, I was satisfied. read more

Amazing, my wife & I just enjoyed a fantastic dinner! Our server, Hiya, (I'm sure I misspelled it), was the most delightful, kind, and sweetest person you could imagine as a server. A better description would be our culinary dining guide. She made our first experience one for the ages. From her patience with our inability to choose, to her suggestions. My wife had a tabbouleh salad, while I enjoyed a feta salad. Both were fresh as can be. Our dinners were fabulous, Karen's was Shish Tawouk platter, mine the mixed grill. Simply beyond words. The best comment I could give, is that we can't wait to come back when we're in town. I'm really surprised by the high ratings for this place. I went there based on those reviews. Place an order to go. I ordered lentil soup which was bland, seems like something you would serve in a hospital cafeteria. A small meat-filled pastry, I don't recall the exact name of it. When I say small, I mean tiny with hardly any filling. Not worth the price. I also ordered a greek salad and requested dressing. Didn't get any dressing. I ordered hummus. I expected this to be good. I mean even if they get everything else wrong, this should be a staple at a Mediterranean/Middle Eastern restaurant. Nope. It tasted like a cheap store-bought version of hummus. Absolutely disgusting. I have no idea who is leaving these reviews, but I suspect that they've never had good Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food, because this place is just not it. I had takeout through DoorDash from TAMR; I've been wanting to try this restaurant for quite some time after driving past it on my commute to work and then reading the excellent reviews. My experience exceeded my already high expectations! I ordered the sizzling shawarma platter. Obviously for takeout it won't be sizzling, but the chicken was moist and had clearly been expertly marinated. It was served with a similarly flavorful rice (some nuts and cumin) and homemade pickles. The tahini sauce was pretty good, but the garlic sauce was mindblowingly good (order 2 on the side). The meal comes with a side; I opted for the season salad, which was a simple yet refreshing mix of tomatoes and cucumbers. I also got a small side of spicy hummus for $4.99. The portion of this meal was absolutely massive and fed me for the next 2.5 days. More importantly, everything tasted fantastic and so fresh. Comparing this to other local places like Aladdin's (a chain) and Shawarma Brothers, TAMR blew both of them away. I can't wait to have another meal from here. read more

TAMR was a very pleasant surprise. We stopped by for lunch. Service was very friendly and all of our questions were answered while ordering. I ordered the Yogurt and Cucumber Salad as my starter. When it arrived I was amazed at the portion size - enough to share (if you are willing to part with some!!) The salad was bright, light and creamy with a lovely garlic punch. My entree was the Mixed Grille. Everything was flavorful, juicy and very satisfying. I could have eaten the entire generous platter but took home half for an encore the next day. Tamr makes some excellent, authentic Mediterranean food coming from someone who used to live in the region. The hummus is excellent which can be hit-or-miss at many similar spots. Restaurant has a smaller, intimate setting. I ordered takeout the last 2 times I dined there - the food was great, but worth noting that I waited ~15 minutes both times when I showed up at the scheduled pickup time, one of which did not appear to be a busy night. Went there recently because of my love for Mediterranean food. Last time I was at Tamr was a few years ago. I feel they have regressed. Food was average. Service and staff were attentive and pleasant. Think the inside of the restaurant for dining in needs to be updated. More people were coming in for takeout. One of the few Mediterranean spots in the area I really vouch for. The staff are incredibly kind and accommodating. I usually order the mixed grill with salad. I really enjoy the taste of the meat, seasoning, and the sort of grilled char-ness to it. I wouldn't say it's the same caliber as some of the Arab restaurants in bigger cities, but nonetheless a very very delicious spot. I also really enjoy their hummus and baba ghannouj. They also have some really delicious desserts. Pro tip: If you are stuffed from the food, but want to try a dessert get a Kanaffa to go. Heat it up at home for a delicious snack. read more

I'm upset because I don't live near this place. The food went far beyond my expectations. The soup was flavorful even with peas and carrots that I hate. The salad was so refreshing and I lives the veggies like red pepper in it. I had the mixed grilled platter. It was delicious, the kofta was a little dry, but most places it is. The steak and chicken were flavorful too. I only wish there was more of a veggies on the kebob than 2 small slices of pepper. Even the hot tea was wonderful. this is a really solid place. If you want good Middle Eastern food this is the place. The staff are very nice. I usually get the mixed kebab platter, which gives you a nice array of what they have. The meat is well cooked well seasoned and quite frankly delicious. unfortunately they give way more rice than they do meat. In other places that I have tried with a similar platter they give typically more meat. It's not a huge deal but would be nice. I don't love the pita bread. It comes in these plastic packages and it feels very stale and dry. That being said, I frequently return here as I know exactly what I'm getting. read more

What a find! It was well worth the 35 minute drive to Stow to visit TAMR. Starting with a warm friendly welcome from the servers to the end, we really enjoyed ourselves. This is a modest, deli style restaurant located in a tidy strip mall. The atmosphere is simple, super clean, and they embellished things some with some contemporary middle eastern music on the sound system. Super clean and they have the seating spread out very well, so you'll feel comfortable while we're still going through the pan-epi-whoknows-demic. Which, the ending of all that by the way? God wins. We had a wide array of dishes for our first time. Lentil soup, lamb stuffed grape leaves, hummus with hot sauce (don't skip the hot sauce/oil, it's perfect), spinach pie, and pita of course. The chicken and lamb shawarma sizzling plate with rice and pickles was absolutely delicious, and came in a very generous portion for the price. The Shish Tawook Chicken was perfectly marinated and grilled spot on. As you might sense, we came away impressed and big fans of TAMR. Easy to get to off Rte 8 on 59 just West of SOM - 91. Try them. I was a bit nervous because I hadn't eaten here recommending it for a large group of friends stop on our way to Blossom tonight. It was a rainy day so we figured dinner in a restaurant would be better than a wet picnic. Everything was amazing. The sandwiches here are very good. For about $7 each they come in decent size. Sides are extra. The wait can get pretty long if they are busy or on weekends during brunch hours, up to 30 minutes or so. However they are made cooked to order, fresh from scratch. I recommend you call/preorder if you are only going for takeout and live close by. The weekend brunch buffet is delightful. At about $15 a person (tax tip not included) it is not a bad deal. The buffet trays are always warm and fresh. It offers limited assortments of rice/lamb dishes, as well as all known mazaat, appetizers, hummus, and the likes. The owner (from Lebanon originally) is extremely friendly and she offered house mint tea which I was waiting for my takeout order. It was some delicious hot mint tea. The perfect light yet hearty meal. The food will leave you satisfied without feeling gross. I recommend the tahina kafta. The hummus is nutty and tart--some of the better hummus I've had in my life. The pita can be dry or stale at times. The freshness is a coin flip. However, they will load you up with pita if you ask for extra. Tamr has (by far) the best garlic sauce of any Mediterranean restaurant I've been to. I believe it costs extra but it is totally worth it. This is a staple in my diet and every time is delicious. This place is amazing. We've Door Dashed from here several times but have never been in. I stopped on my way home tonight and did takeout. The woman who greeted me was incredible, kind, and patient. Many of their dishes are Gluten Free or can be made Gluten Free. Their portions are generous and we can usually get at least two meals. The woman was kind enough to bring me a hot tea while I waited for my meal, also, which was wonderful after coming in from the snow. As soon as my boyfriend and I walked in, a woman greeted us genuinely and seemed to be excited that we were there. She saw that I had a broken foot and told me to sit a the corner table because there's a lot more room. She even got a chair for me to rest and elevate my foot. She answered all our questions with a smile. The atmosphere is very clean and bright. I'm really happy there I was able to sit near a window. I really enjoyed the red color scheme. The food is great. There are some reviews that have mentioned that the price is expensive for the buffet. Yes, it is a little pricey but I personally think it's worth the price because of the quality and taste of the food. The lamb was cooked perfectly and was full of flavor. Everything tasted extremely fresh and there was some variety in options. I also appreciate how there was fresh sliced food available in the buffet too. The hummus is fantastic! Very smooth, garlicky goodness. I'm craving it now, typing about it. After the meal, the woman offered us some tea. It was so great and paired perfectly with the baklava that we got after our meal. Probably about 3.5 stars. Decided to get takeout. On the phone they said it would be ready in "a couple minutes", so I figured that meant the standard 15-20 minutes. It was probably closer to 30, no biggie though, I wasn't in a rush. My wife and I split Kafta and Falafel wraps. It's about $6-7 for a sandwich, but it doesn't come with any sides. We each decided to get a side of rice, that was $3 each. The sandwiches were decent, I liked the hummus in the kofta wrap and whatever sauce and toppings were on the falafel wrap. The rice was just fine. Everyone was nice. The space is fairly similar to what it was before when it was La Shish, but they changed a couple things.
