This review is long overdue. Moises and his team did an excellent job in renovating my townhouse. He transformed the whole place not only by doing a great job installing the hardwood floors but aso refinished the walls, stairs, bedrooms and bathrooms. He also came to the rescue when a painter I hired did a poor job by having his painter fix the mistakes. Moises has a very good disposition, honest and great customer service. We hired Moises to install new flooring on our new addition floors. Having had rather a negative experience with the new addition construction team, we were at first skeptical Moises would do any differently. We selected him after having another bid, which was substantially higher. However Moises proved us all wrong. He in fact upped out expectations to the standards how the job should be done by a constructor. Very attentive to details, great communications, sticking to commitments. He definite has great skills in woodwork and did just a perfect job on the new floors. We were really impressed and equally pleased, so we proceeded with him to replace out old staircase, worn and damaged during the construction. Moises and his crew were great. Showed up when scheduled, finished on time. Listened and did all that I asked of them. Did a great job keeping dust to a minimum with an outside extraction system and all their sanding equipment hooked up to it. There was only one flaw that I saw before the last coat was applied and it was gone before I had a chance to bring it to their attention. The floors look great, sanding job is smooth and uniform with no gouging, finish is smooth and uniform with no pooling of finish or spots missed. I highly recommend them to anyone. read more

During our initial meeting, he also pointed out a flaw in the existing floor that would require a creative solution, which he provided. Moises Rubio and his team did a beautiful job on our new floors. They leveled the subfloor, installed a vapor barrier, and laid 2000 sq. ft. of 3/4" Brazilian Cherry (Jatoba) flooring. The unfinished floor looked great. They then sanded, sealed and finished the floor with two coats of polyurethane. The place looks like a museum. Now the best part. They did it on-time and on-budget. The change orders (to do an additional room) were well documented and agreed to in advance. With out a doubt one of the best teams to have worked on the project. read more

Moises worked with us on our remodel 3 years ago. We expanded our floor area by adding a new kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. He was professional, courteous, efficient and his work was exceptional. He gave advice and assistance when it came to choosing the wood, color of stain and finish on our flooring. He clearly understood the aesthetic we were after and gave great advice on how to achieve that but still have something that was practical and long lasting. Quality of workmanship and the aesthetic is very important to Moises. He also worked on the installation and staining of the siding on our house as well as the installation of our back deck. We had very specific requirements to the size and overlap of the individual strips of wood on our siding. The work was painstaking as any errors would be glaringly obvious. He did a beautiful job and we were impressed by his attention to detail - For example he chose nails and fillers such that there would be no risk of the nails oxidizing and bleeding into the wood as we had observed on other houses. In all of the projects he worked on he takes pride in doing high quality. There are multiple examples where his attention to detail meant the work was excellent and exceeded our expectations. We did not have to worry regarding the timing, management or quality of his work- I would highly recommend Moises. read more

I have worked with many contractors over the years and Moises is the best experience I've had in every aspect. I needed to replace the hardwood floor in our family room, and he showed up promptly the day after I called to take a look and provided a quote the next day as promised. He would communicate on a regular basis as to what time his team would arrive the next day and what work was to be done. I was worried about the new floor matching our existing floor in the kitchen, but Moises was able to match it perfectly. He even brought in stain samples so that we could pick which stain would work best. He also offered us water-based versus oil-based stains. I had 2 other flooring contractors attempt to match the existing floors as part of a remodel we recently finished, and neither did as good or as professional a job as Moises. When there was a small miscommunication during one step of the project, he went above and beyond to fix it and made sure we were happy.
