When I walked inside I was drawn to the charming little gifts. They have some cute jewelry, home décor, apparel and hand crafted souvenirs. I saw a section of Native American jewelry with different pretty color stones. Of course, the first thing I look for are stickers and I did find them in both small and big sizes. Looking around some more I found a few handmade soaps made locally in Genoa and a shelf filled with classic soaps made in France. Lately I've been drawn to handcrafted soaps and remember purchasing a bunch at a shop in Virginia City. I did purchase a small bar. I have yet to try. Lovely place. Friendly customer service. This is my second visit and I don't recall the store being this disorganized. I was looking for Christmas fabric and found a little bit in different rooms. Not a large selection. Spoke to the owner on my way out who stated they just returned from a trade show and hadn't unpacked yet. She mentioned on Wednesday afternoons, between 4-6, they go on their Facebook page and display 150 different fabrics that you may order online. To date, I haven't had the opportunity to do so. They also offer classes at a reasonable price. Having been to this store a handful of times I was excited to go in and shop today but…read moreunfortunately I don't think I'll ever be going back. As I was in line waiting to check out I noticed some people arguing price with the owner and thought nothing of it, BUT I absolutely should have. I made polite conversation with the owner as he was ringing up my items but then when he said my total I was a bit taken aback as it was higher than I had expected. When I was shopping I had been keeping a running total as I went and this seemed well above it. Unfortunately I did not trust my gut and paid for my items and figured I'd just check everything when I got in the car. I was given no receipt and when I went to check the items I remembered that as we were chatting the owner had cut off the price tags. I calculated (rounding up) what I remembered the tags to have said (even checking pictures I had sent my husband for opinions) when I was shopping and was shocked to see that I had been overcharged by about $50 dollars. It seems like this guy likes to take advantage of people and just charge whatever he feels in the moment and then makes it so there's little to no consequence for his actions because there's no way to "be sure" unless you're watching and calculating every single thing as he goes through. The only reason this review isn't one star is because of my previous pleasant experiences but BE CAREFUL here because you never know when the owner might decide to ruin your day.
