I found this Ruby slipper in Milan Italy and tried to take it to Mobile, Alabama!

Hannah did a great job! Classic pancakes were good!!! It was close to the hotel. I recommend you give it a try.

Service and food both were great! Tip: skip the omelet they're just meh/ok.. go for the speciality things like the Migas & Benedicts!

Everything!!! Was amazing!!! Coffee with fried green tomatoes and shrimp and grits! My son got a BLT with friend green tomatoes! The service was amazing - this is why we love traveling!!

Gulf shrimp omelet with buttermilk biscuit and cheesy grits

Beautiful scenery in downtown Mobile. Its perfect for brunch and it fits right in with the vibe of a coastal town. Had the gulf shrimp omelet which was delicious especially because the shrimp is fresh. Ordered a matcha specialty drink as well to make this a well rounded breakfast. The service was very nice despite some small issues that they immediately corrected.

Buddha Bowl (less the pork and egg) and a side of avocado with a Sparkling Sunrise mocktail and water.

I was sat immediately, and the setting was eclectic. Service was very kind and the menu was adjustable for my diet. The food was seasoned, appetizing and tasted good. I ordered a Buddha Bowl (without the pork and egg) with smoky black beans, corn and pepper relish, arugula, pickled English cucumber, and half of an avocado with an avocado crème fraisch (sp). I ordered an additional side of avocado and a Sparkling Sunrise mocktail.

Sweet Home Mobile Alabama Whenever you can order one my favorite desserts disguised as a breakfast entree, then I'm all in. The Banana Foster French Toast was straight from The Big Easy. Combine that with the 3 Little Pigs omelette and that made for a satisfying meal for the 2 of us. These 2 plates had enough protein to share while providing us a great sugar rush to get us down the road back home to Texas. The inside of the restaurant has that Dorthy from Kansas theme, ample tables for such a small restaurant and overall I consider this a hidden gem within the downtown area for good measure. The menu has a good assortment of interesting pancake options to select from and many creative egg plates. We used the call ahead feature although it was not terribly busy at 10am when we arrived. However, within the hour, a line of folks come in and the wait was on.

Nice joint. Trendy. Eclectic decor. And, excellent food. We came here recently as we were in town for Wifey's graduation from USA. Go Jags! Wait was not bad for a Saturday around 1130ish. Maybe 20 minutes? Anyway, I would wait twice as long for this place. We had a party of six. Got the chicken sandwich (good), three little pigs omelet (good), sweet heat chicken and french toast bites (real good), southern breakfast (real good). I also got the grits with pepper jack cheese (unreal). Good variety on menu from sandwiches to bennies. Also, nice alcohol selection, though we didn't partake. Service was on point. Prices real reasonable. Cool, funky spot. Street parking. There was also a parking structure, but not sure if it was kosher to park there. We wish there was a Ruby Slipper closer to us than 2000 miles away.

We love brunch at Ruby Slipper! Our favorite spot is the patio, but we always enjoy ourselves!

Best service and food in Mobile for Brunch. Even very busy for seated within 5 minutes

Sweet heat chicken & French toast bites were a shareable dish and super tasty

Jones the waitlist on Yelp and were seated promptly. We tried the homemade biscuit with cane syrup butter ($3), stone-ground grits ($3.5), and sweet heat chicken & French toast bites which is crispy fried chicken and fresh strawberries tossed in hot honey glaze over French toast noted ($16). Our server, Linda S, was so attentive and kept checking on us. She was quick, friendly and took time to answer our questions. Overall a wonderful first-time experience and we will be back on another visit.

Kids French Toast Bites, were perfect. It wasn't fried hard and my little one loved it.

We were floored by the robust flavor of each of the homemade gravies. They have a tomato gravy, a sausage gravy, and a redeye gravy. The texture of the gravy was not too thick and none of them were greasy. We each ate a plate of homemade biscuits and in-house made gravy. Although the biscuits and gravy seem like a small serving, the dish is really an adequate meal. Overall, the flavor of the food and the friendliness of the staff solidified our making this restaurant our breakfast place when we visit Mobile.

It took our server about 20 mins to come over and take our order. So we put in our food order when the server came by to take our drink order. Food took about 40 mins from when we ordered to when we got our food. I used to work in restaurants (the busiest of restaurants) and know that you should staff more, prep more, and place larger food orders in anticipation of being fully booked friday night till sunday night. I ordered gumbo. My niece got biscuits and gravy. The gumbo was pretty good except would have liked the roux a little thicker. The gravy on the biscuits was lacking in flavor. We got lucky and found one of the few non metered spots on the street. The restaurant was a bit busy when we arrived, but they where able to seat us promptly. The service was good. Our table ordered several items off the brunch/breakfast menu. I had the Seafood Eggs Benedict. For the most part this was a solid eggs benedict. However the shrimp were away overcooked and rubbery. They were a bit smallish and just not worth the time or charge. Hands down the best part about the dish was the Honey Ham. It was flavorful and there was a good bit included on the dish. In general it was fine, but not exactly worth the $18 it cost. Cubed Hashbrowns: I mixed bag. Every order at the table the Hashbrowns came out a bit different. Mine were undercooked and crunchy inside, I like them overcooked and crispy. Others at the table had them crunch and almost burnt. You can have them come with cheese and onions. I suggest this upgrade. Others at the table had: Eggs Cathedral: Needed salt. The same dry shrimp as the other dishes. Another dish that just did not seem to justify the cost. BLT Croissant: Was an ok looking sandwich, there was a good amount of bacon on the sandwich, however most of it was very well done. $15 Kids "Egg Breakfast: 1 egg, 1 Meat, 1 Toast. Looked fine. Spot of Tea was not a bad meal and there is good diversity to the Breakfast menu. However nothing the table had has was great, just mostly good. The Shrimp however were just bad. It seems that they are cooked in batches early in the day and added to dishes as needed. So I would personally avoid the "jumbo" shrimp dishes. Side note on the shrimp they are the same one that was added to the bloody marry cocktail. I think the biggest hang-up is the price to quality ratio. If you are in the area and want an eggs benedict you may want to give them a try. For me however I think there are better options to get full in the area.
