Was going on vacation and needed to get my grays covered up. I scheduled an appointment with Jill a few weeks out and was looking forward to it. Prior to my appointment I realized that my son needed a haircut and while she doesn't normally cut his hair, I asked if I could bring him and if she could squeeze him in while I was getting my hair done. She obliged. She's also known my kiddo since he was 2 months old, so she's seen him grow up and love the way the interact! I let Jill know I wanted to go blonder, due to my grays really popping these days. Before she started mixing color, I wanted to make sure she thought it would look good. The great thing about Jill is she'll never steer you wrong. If she doesn't think a cut or color would look good on you, she'll tell you, and I appreciate it. She told me what she was thinking and I was excited to see how the final product would turn out. We chatted the entire time she was applying my color, which is always fun and relaxing for me. Once my color and highlights were applied she started the steaming and relaxation treatment (aka head spa treatment). She covered my eyes with a mask, and typically I have a hard time relaxing, but this time I just laid there and it was lovely. While I was relaxing she got started on my kiddo's haircut. I appreciated the fact that she asked him what he wanted, the style, how short, and how he normally wears his hair and he was so comfortable with Jill and told her exactly what he wanted. After his cut and hair washing, he was all smiles. Normally he doesn't look forward to getting his haircut, but after his cut with Jill he said "Can I go to Ms. Jill every time?". After he was done, I got my hair spa treatment of the rainfall water treatment, a good conditioning and toner application. It was so nice. I swear there's nothing like getting your hair washed by someone else. Just hits differently. I let her know prior to starting my cut that I want to grow my hair out, so she did a fresh trim, gave me a blowout, and once she was done I LOVED my results. There were lots of sunkissed highlights, my hair felt healthier, and it looked great. All in all, I've been seeing Jill for almost 20 years. She knows what looks good on me, she's honest, she's kind, and she makes me feel like a million bucks. I'll be back. read more

I moved to Jacksonville three years ago and it took me almost a year to find Ruby Soho!!! Now we are moving again and if I could take Jill with me I would!!! I always leave with beautiful hair. My color and cut is always perfect!!! On top of her being an exceptionally skilled hairdresser, her salon feels like home, it is so relaxing, just as a salon should be. I LOVE Jill!! She is such a positive person and I feel like a better person when I leave, she lifts my spirits every time. She has her own room in a building split up into several salons. She also has another lady who uses her space on her off days. Jill specializes in organic and natural products and is always working on a project to help out people or the planet.
