EDIT BC OF LACK OF RESPONSE the vibe was actually just okay.... it seemed like when I walked in, I was interrupting something... I try to be easygoing and chum it up, but they seemed VERY MUCH like I was interrupting their personal time. BECKY, my hair stylist in particular seemed a bit upset that I gave her exact instructions as to what I wanted. I was kind of nervous going in, so I made sure to be very concise and clear about what I wanted from this cut I asked for a low taper fade middle part cut with a bit of a fringe so I could mess it up on days off from my corporate job. I gave exact length told her exactly where it is that it's normally cut, even told her where the taper starts and ends... I'm not gonna lie. I gave her a blueprint as to exactly what it is that I wanted and had she asked, I had photos for reference, but she didn't and she acted like she was very confident she spent all of five minutes on the first go round. I told her that my hair naturally doesn't keep product in it because my job while being a corporate job requires me to run around an awful lot and I often find myself sweating through the product in my hair. I asked her to lay my hair down straight, and I looked like the villain from Charlie's Angels like that pinhead creepy guy. Apparently asking her to go back and actually give me what I asked for was too much She spent another five minutes on my hair, fucked it up even more and then sent me on my way I gave everybody a chance to fix their mistakes. I'm not a monster. But she was just not enthusiastic and absolutely does not care about your hair or what you look like. I emphatically told her how much I cared about my hair She knew. She knew not only I cared but my wife did as well. And still, she let me leave that shop looking a mess and not get at all what I wanted How the fuck are you supposed to give somebody a fade of any sort or even a taper with just A SEVEN GUARD ----- this is the og post she was confident executing what was very clear instruction Another individual was sitting next to me and she was apparently getting her hair done, very apparent that she was just trying to hype me up, I didn't get the haircut that I wanted I asked for a low taper I was asked several times if I wanted a bald fade Describe didn't exact detail exactly what it is that I wanted and now I'm going home almost in tears because I feel like I didn't communicate well enough. Except I know that I did because it was even commented on by the woman sitting next to me. Before I left, they didn't even clean me up. The woman sitting next to me had to point it out. Only reason I came here was because I actually had a 20% off for booking for the first time and they didn't even apply that upon checkout. No shampoo just a dry cut and it was over $30. Dry cut for $30 no blowout no styling no nothing ? I felt rushed to the entire time. It was evident that she was just trying to get out of there because her other person that she took on before me " needed to leave at a certain time" I gave two stars for the vibe but honestly You're getting what you paid for So maybe lower your expectations if you don't wanna hack job read more

The Hair Cuttery at Pablo Creek is close to my house so I have used them a few times for a blowout and flat iron. However, I have never had my hair cut at this location, only a style. On my last visit I called ahead to see if they were busy and learned I could sign in online to hold a spot. I didn't wait long and would suggest the online check in about 20 minutes before you plan to arrive and this will save on the wait time! Been going to this HC for six months -- always seen quickly and given a quick haircut. Till today. Had a 1045 appt w any stylist available and checked in before 1040 w a stylist. There were 4 stylists (none of whom I'd ever seen before) and 2 customers being served. After 1055 another stylist asked if a had an appt. Told her 1045 and she said she'd be my stylist. Said things sometimes went longer. That's makes sense but the inane part is my appt was for 1045 w ANY stylist. There were 2 others serving no one. Would've stayed for a late haircut but the stylist didn't have the right tools nor could she find anyone to lend her some. Literally took more time not finding them then it did for me to go to the Sports Clips down the street, register, get a hair cut and pay. Not even including the 15 mins after scheduled appt to get into the chair. It's HC system. I confirmed an appt w any stylist. 4 stylists. 2 customers. They couldn't do the math and didn't care. read more

Savanha over processed my hair and damaged beyond repair. My hair has thinned and is falling out! The shop would take no responsibility. They may have great stylist but watch out for Savanda. An older stylist at the salon said that had to cut it off. My hair is shoulder length. Cutting it that short is just huge. If they make a mistake, please do not let them try and fix. I came in for an appointment with Cheryl Saturday 03/02/2024 at 11:30am for a signature cut with a blowout which included washing my hair. proceeds to ask me what I wanted done. Starts cutting and my hair she does a TERRIBLE job I wanted her to also frame my face a little in the front she did not then she tells me she cannot blow out my hair because my hair was curly??? and it was gonna take longer which I have never heard a stylist say to me before just because I have curly hair....i said okay and I let her straighten my hair she said that would be best. She leaves my hair with no layers no bangs like I asked and my hair was still curly at the root and on the underside of my hair!!! Choppy all over & completely uneven!! She did not know how to straighten hair at all she kept clapping the straighter to my hair not even going all the way to my root completely unprofessional and not trained properly she burned the back of my neck!!! I have been coming to hair cuttery for over 15 years and have never ever had an issue like this!!! My appointment was at 11:30 I left at 1:30!!! She charges me $71 I was nice enough to give her a $10 tip. I try talking her down to $50 she tells me no. I have to pay in full. I wasn't gonna leave the salon without paying who knows if she would've called the police on me or something for not paying (like I said I've never had an issue like this) so.. I pay.. I come back in just 10 minutes later (because there was a special event had to go to that day) and had to go buy something really quick at target next door. While I'm out I really take a look at my hair and I'm shocked at how awful it looked! I asked for the manager and tell her everything and I asked for a refund she tells me she couldn't do that. I was NOT happy with my hair and she knew that!! This back and forth goes on for about 15 minutes. She wouldn't even give me my $10 tip back and kicked me out of the salon!!! I left here crying with my hair completely ruined and without my money back!!!! DO NOT LET CHERYL do your hair here!!! She will completely ignore what you want and over charge you!!! I only went to this business Haircuttery, because of Mark Murray. He by far is the best hair stylist I've ever had. I've been to some elite salons and their work does not compare. It's really not about the salon standing alone on its business name. It's about the hairstylist who make the difference. Mark was worth every cent I paid him and I know hes gonna become extremely successful no matter where he goes. Any salon would benefit from having him. I've always used hair Cuttery since I don't dye my hair or do anything crazy to it. I came in on a MONDAY with an appt at 115. I arrived at 1:10 and there were 4 stylist working. They aren't very pleasant from the moment you walk in. I sat and waited for over 45 minutes while 2 other appointments were taken who came in AFTER me. I was so confused and no one explained or acknowledged that. The only good part around my experience was the actual stylist. She met all my needs. Upon my visit at this hair cuttery I was put through a lot of pain. Due to the lack of education in ethnic hair, my hair was pulled and torn from aggressive brushing and no detangling. If there is an advertisement of ethnic women in the store and outside of the store and the stylist don't know how to do "ethnic hair" this would he considered fals advertisement. I will not be coming back to this location or another hair cuttery. It's 2024 and I find it disappointing that people aren't educated in all hair types. I simply asked for a wash and a blow dry, I received my wash and a rigorous blow dry which left my hair still damp and tangled. I had two caucasian women with brushes that didn't work on my hair pulling my head back and forth, and as I tried to give advice on how to "get through" the top of my head, they didn't listen. Neither one of them were educated in ethnic hair then i should've been told that from the start, instead i felt i wasted my money, and time with this poor service. read more

If I could give this place ZERO, I would. I came here in a bind because I don't know jacksonville too well, and they were close to where I was running errands. I told the lady that my hair tends to be oily and she ended up making it WORSE with whatever product she used. The hair wash didn't feel strong, she was way too light while scrubbing. She took an hour to de tangle my hair because she was using the wrong type of tool (a comb rather than a wet brush). While she was blowdrying I let her know I needed to be out by 1 (we started at 11:45 and my blowouts never take more than 30mins everywhere else I have been). She said I was rushing her and that it was impossible because my hair is thick and long (it's NOT!) She got my hair stuck on the back end of the blow dryer and didn't even apologize! I was flabbergasted. This place is the exact reason I go to real salons and not these supercut style franchises. The service sucked, the work sucked, and her iron was like 90 years old and broke my hair. read more

I requested a long bob with layers and that's exactly what I got. My hair is thin so every snip of the shears shows and makes a good hair cut all that much more impressive.
