From the…read moremoment we arrived, it was clear that this is a truly exceptional facility staffed by extraordinary people. Dr. Nanai is simply outstanding. Her dedication and compassion for each and every pet is evident in everything she does. The way she carefully and thoughtfully explained, our pup, Bulleit's, procedure made it clear how passionate she is about her work and how deeply she cares about her patients. In such a stressful moment, her confidence, clarity, and empathy brought us so much reassurance. Laura was equally amazing during discharge. She was incredibly patient, took the time to give us detailed explanations, and helped us get our baby settled comfortably in the car. Her kindness and calm presence meant more than she probably realizes. A huge thank you as well to Gabbie at the front desk. She was fantastic, walking me through the invoice with care and helping apply our senior discount, which truly made a difference with such a large and unexpected expense. That level of thoughtfulness does not go unnoticed. Honestly, every single staff member we encountered was remarkable. The facility itself is state of the art, spotless, and very welcoming. Despite the intensity of an emergency setting, everyone was warm, caring, and genuinely kind, always with a smile. Although this hospital is a bit of a drive from our home, it was absolutely worth it. Alpharetta Veterinary Specialty & Emergency should be the gold standard for veterinary care and service. We are beyond grateful to have entrusted Bulleit to such an incredible team.

The front desk staff was calm, kind, and reassuring during a very stressful situation. You can tell they genuinely care about both the pets and the owners walking through their doors. The veterinary technicians were attentive, knowledgeable, and efficient. They explained everything clearly, kept me updated, and handled Zoltar with patience and compassion. The veterinarians were professional, thorough, and confident in their approach. It was obvious that everyone there truly knows what they're doing. That level of competence brings so much peace of mind during an emergency. What stood out most to me was how seamless the entire process felt. From intake to treatment, the communication was excellent and the care was top-tier. Zoltar was treated quickly and safely, and I felt supported every step of the way. I also truly appreciated their pricing. For an emergency facility, their costs were very fair and reasonable compared to other emergency clinics. It's clear that they combine high-level expertise with transparency and integrity. In my experience, this facility provided a more comprehensive and reassuring emergency experience compared to other options. The organization, professionalism, knowledgeable staff, and teamwork truly set them apart. If you're ever in an emergency situation with your pet, I highly recommend Alpharetta Veterinary Specialty & Emergency. They helped my puppy when we needed it most, and I will always be grateful for their exceptional care.

She collapsed on the hardwood floor, thrashing and snapping her head from side to side for what felt like an eternity -- nearly 5 minutes. I have never in my life seen Misty like this. She looked like she couldn't even breathe on her own. I truly thought I was about to watch my dog die right in front of me. What makes this even worse is that I was never warned this could happen. The staff rushed her discharge, handed her back to me without any real education or concern, and sent us home as if nothing serious could occur. There was no sympathy, no urgency, no sense of responsibility for my dog's safety. Misty weighs 52 pounds -- in the middle of this seizure I could barely even lift her. I had to drag her limp, thrashing body just to get her onto her bed so she would stop slamming her head on the hardwood floor. No owner should ever have to go through that alone. I even have video proof of this nightmare that I will attach with my review. As her owner, what was I supposed to do in that moment? I trusted these people to keep her safe, to care for her, and instead I was left completely unprepared and traumatized. The lack of compassion and communication at this hospital is inexcusable. I will never bring Misty back here again. Pet owners deserve a hospital that takes the time to properly monitor, educate, and support us through situations like this -- not one that treats our beloved pets like just another number.

The receptionist was super friendly and I cannot say enough about the tech staff and Dr. Harwell. It was this past Sunday, so no vets were open and we had to go to an Emergency vet. I saw good reviews for VEG, and called them with my ETA so they could prepare. Upon arrival, all the staff were very attentive and took care of my kitty immediately. The doctor was very kind and caring, and were very gentle with her. They did a full exam and also did an ultrasound and some X-rays. Dr. E is a travel Vet and she was so helpful and answered all the questions I had. Even after the visit, she called to follow up and answer the other questions I had. It's a stressful time when your pet is sick, because it's hard to know what's wrong with them. They were so sweet to my girl and I am very grateful for their care. Everything was $908 but I am glad that they have payment options like CareCredit and Affirm. It is really expensive, but it's understandable.

They called to walk her through it when staff should already know how to file insurance claims. Dr.Duran review: Careless provider my pet was seen with GI upset diarrhea. This isn't my first time having my dog seen for this at BluePearl westside (this was the best location that has now closed). Anytime she was seen for this matter they would give her medical support in the clinic and also provide GI SUPPORT for when I got home. For a $400 bill all she did was give her gi soft prescription food. No anti diarrhea/nausea medication to go home with no extra probiotics. Only probiotics I have is the ones I had previously brought. No type of supportive care. I called back up there today two days later because my dog is now vomiting after I specifically asked her for something stronger and she still wouldn't give any prescription. She's the type of provider that wants you to spend unnecessarily amounts of money. If she gives you two options and you choose the cheaper one she give you piss poor care. unacceptable Never had an experience like this with bluepearl but they will not be getting my money anymore. Go here at your own risk . Called before coming here, so they were ready for her visit. I thought it was odd that the employee took her back to the exam area, but told me that they'd call when the vet was done. Waited in the car for about an hour when the call came to pick up my dog. Met with the vet, and he told me that he expressed my dog's anal glands, but also asked if I wanted him to do more tests to ensure there wasn't also something else going on with her. I told him no, paid the vet bill of over $400 which included a small bottle of antibiotics for her, and brought her home. She didn't struggle with pooping after her vet visit. Gave her the antibiotics twice daily until she was done with her meds. She didn't seem to have any lasting effects. Two things that I didn't like were: 1. Me not being able to go with my dog to the exam room. 2. Being told that there may be something else wrong with her but not being provided a good explanation about what it was.

She was breathing but completely unresponsive, and we were terrified she wouldn't wake up. We explained exactly what had happened. The staff recommended an X-ray--which we agreed to, as we were concerned she might have broken her neck. However, they also insisted on pumping her stomach "just in case she got into something." We declined, knowing that wasn't the case. After the X-ray, they confirmed she hadn't broken any bones but noted that she was still in a lateral position and unable to stand. I asked if she was still breathing and if she was okay. They mentioned that after administering an IV, she moved slightly and wagged her tail--giving us hope since she hadn't moved at all when we brought her in. Then, they suggested additional blood work. I refused, believing that if her neck wasn't broken, she likely just needed rest. Instead, I asked to take her home. They insisted she needed to stay overnight for monitoring--at an additional cost we simply couldn't afford. When we asked to see her, nothing could have prepared us for what we saw. She was dead. She was hooked up to machines, her eyes lifeless and almost out of their sockets. I was devastated and furious. I turned to the vet and asked, "Do cats come back from this? Will she wake up?" His response? "The prognosis isn't good." I broke down, feeling completely taken advantage of--not just emotionally but financially. In the end, we were charged $1,000, only to lose her. If you want to be scammed and mistreated in your time of distress, this is the place to go. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau because what they are doing is unethical. Obviously they deserve 0 stars.
