I just adopted my sweet baby a month ago, and I noticed she was abdominal breathing and breathing very fast one morning. It was this past Sunday, so no vets were open and we had to go to an Emergency vet. I saw good reviews for VEG, and called them with my ETA so they could prepare. Upon arrival, all the staff were very attentive and took care of my kitty immediately. The doctor was very kind and caring, and were very gentle with her. They did a full exam and also did an ultrasound and some X-rays. Dr. E is a travel Vet and she was so helpful and answered all the questions I had. Even after the visit, she called to follow up and answer the other questions I had. It's a stressful time when your pet is sick, because it's hard to know what's wrong with them. They were so sweet to my girl and I am very grateful for their care. Everything was $908 but I am glad that they have payment options like CareCredit and Affirm. It is really expensive, but it's understandable.

    My "healthy" cat.

I hope you never have to visit this place, but know if you do you and your pet will be treated with…read morethe upmost respect, kindness, and patience. We've had to visit twice. The first time our dog had a mass on his face. He was extremely wary and skittish coming here, even pooped on the floor from anxiety, but the staff was super calm and patient with him. They assessed him and gave us our options. When they removed the mass, they gave us detailed instructions on aftercare and encouraged us to call if we had any follow up questions. Unfortunately, the last time we went was when our dog passed. They assessed him and gave us the news, giving us ample time to grieve. Some of the staff even remembered him for the first visit. They gave us our options and sent us a card signed by the staff which we certainly didn't expect. I'm super thankful for VEG ER and the people who work there. You can tell they genuinely care about animals, and that care extends to humans too. Know you will be in good hands if you have to come here. Parking: There is a free parking lot. It's relatively small, but we never had an issue finding a spot when we came.

I asked how long she had, and they said they didn't know, but a very short amount of time. I left in tears and mourned for three days (by mourning, I mean crying non-stop). On the third day, the swelling had gone down, so I made an appointment with the regular vet. They got a blood sample from her leg, and under 10 minutes later, told me the sample was cancer-free. Her leg simply had an infection of some kind. The leg healed. Our dog is fine. When I think about how close I came to putting our sweet pup down at the advice of the careless "vets" at VEG, it absolutely breaks my heart. Oh, and I paid over $2000 for that appointment. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE.

I cannot put into words the horror I went through after trusting BluePearl with my dog, Misty. She…read morehad ear hematoma surgery and not long after, she suffered a seizure. She collapsed on the hardwood floor, thrashing and snapping her head from side to side for what felt like an eternity -- nearly 5 minutes. I have never in my life seen Misty like this. She looked like she couldn't even breathe on her own. I truly thought I was about to watch my dog die right in front of me. What makes this even worse is that I was never warned this could happen. The staff rushed her discharge, handed her back to me without any real education or concern, and sent us home as if nothing serious could occur. There was no sympathy, no urgency, no sense of responsibility for my dog's safety. Misty weighs 52 pounds -- in the middle of this seizure I could barely even lift her. I had to drag her limp, thrashing body just to get her onto her bed so she would stop slamming her head on the hardwood floor. No owner should ever have to go through that alone. I even have video proof of this nightmare that I will attach with my review. As her owner, what was I supposed to do in that moment? I trusted these people to keep her safe, to care for her, and instead I was left completely unprepared and traumatized. The lack of compassion and communication at this hospital is inexcusable. I will never bring Misty back here again. Pet owners deserve a hospital that takes the time to properly monitor, educate, and support us through situations like this -- not one that treats our beloved pets like just another number.

The receptionist was super friendly and I cannot say enough about the tech staff and Dr. Harwell. She spent a lot of time with us, answering lots of questions, and you could tell she really cares about the animals in her charge. I wish she practiced as a general veterinarian as I would sign up first thing. We had almost no wait and were in and out in an acceptable amount of time.

The second time they only gave her a saline IV for 48 hours and her vet gave her the antibiotic which saved her life. I've spent about $6000 there over 3 visits in less than 2 years. It is criminal what they charge for minimal treatment and some of the nurses treat you like you are crazy. One nurse looked at me in a very threatening way. The other receptionists delayed her treatment and were so pedantic. condescending and neglectful. I will never go back there and wouldn't recommend this clinic to anyone who loves their pet. I spoke to a manager and she confirmed that they would not have given her an antibiotic for a UTI. They have no idea what they are doing and are robbing people of their money. It is sickening and they should lose their license to practice.

But that might be a very very long time and today I am prompted to do so because I received the kindest most thoughtful personal card from the staff at VEG. VEG is a place you end up at when you are not at your best. Usually in the middle of the night. Vulnerable and desperate for help & hope. This was me. My boy sadly passed before I could get through the door, so this review is based on the professionalism, compassion and kindness shown me at my weakest moment. I went to another ER vet earlier and can't help but ask myself "if I had just gone to VEG 1st he may have had a chance." No one knows. Regardless, each and every member of the VEG team wrote a message & signed the card. They did not have to do that. This act of kindness speaks volumes about the character of this facility and the people who work there.
